Tampon dispensing devices and methods for using the same
Tampon dispensing devices and methods for using the same are provided. In some embodiments, a tampon dispensing device includes a display that presents one or more codes for receiving a tampon, an actuator that is connected to a spindle structure that dispenses the tampon from a plurality of tampons stored in a storage unit, and a controller that is connected to the display and the actuator, where the controller is configured to: receive, from a server, a code for dispensing one of the plurality of tampons; present the received code on the display; receive, from the server, a request to dispense one of the plurality of tampons from the storage unit; and transmit an instruction to the actuator that causes the actuator to rotate a spindle structure such that the tampon is dispensed from the storage unit into a dispensing area.
APPARATUS AND METHOD TO DISPENSE SANITARY HYGIENE PRODUCTS
A dispenser of hygiene products, including feminine pads and tampons activated by a motion sensor. A motion of a person's hand or other object within a given distance from the motion sensor will close an electronic circuit causing a motor to rotate. The motor is attached to a shaft which rotates. The shaft retains a product dispenser. The product dispenser transports one of the hygiene products to a retrieval tray. A time delay reduces the likelihood of or prevents someone from continuously activating the motion sensor to dispense all of the products in the machine.
METHOD AND APPARATUS TO ACCOUNT FOR TRANSPONDER TAGGED OBJECTS USED DURING CLINICAL PROCEDURES EMPLOYING A SHIELDED RECEPTACLE WITH ANTENNA
Medical procedure related objects (e.g., instruments, supplies) tagged with transponders (e.g., RFID transponders, dumb transponders) are accounted for in a medical or clinical environment via an accounting system using a number of antennas and interrogators/readers. A first set of antennas and RFID interrogator(s) interrogate portions of the environment for RFID tagged objects, for example proximate a start and an end of a procedure. Shielded packaging and/or shielded receptacles shield tagged objects, preventing interrogation except for those objects in unshielded portions of the environment. A shielded receptacle may include an antenna to interrogate the contents thereof in a relatively noise-free environment. A data store may maintain information including a current status or count of each instrument or supply, for instance as checked in or checked out. A handheld antenna and/or second set of antennas interrogates a body of a patient for retained instruments or supplies tagged with dumb transponders.

PRESSURE SENSOR STRIP
A sensor strip comprises an elongate member that is segmented; the segments are defined by longitudinal and transverse grooves, such that the adjacent segments are hinged together; the longitudinal grooves define a central column and outer columns of segments; the segments in the outermost columns are tapered outwardly; and a pressure sensitive sensor is mounted in a plurality of the segments in the central column. A sensor strip of the invention can be used by introducing it under a bandage and recording the pressure at each of the pressure-sensitive sensors.
REUSEABLE CUTTING ARTICLES AND WOUND TAPE ARTICLES AND KITS CONTAINING THE SAME
Cutting article, for example for cutting tape, that is removable from a container, such as a box, of tape. Wound tape articles containing the same. Kits containing the same.
Dispenser for medical articles
A dispenser (100) for medical articles (163), comprising a base (110) and a cover (120), wherein the base (110) comprises at least one stopper arrangement (170) integrated in the main wall of the base (110) and protruding from the inside surface (111b) of the main wall of the base (110), wherein each of the at least one stopper arrangement (170) has at least one cut-out (171) configured to to hold medical articles (163), received in a respective opening in the cover (120) when the dispenser (100) is in a closed configuration, and configured to release receive and hold at least one medical article (163), or a container (160) configured its hold on the at least one medical article (163) or the container (160) when the dispenser (100) is in an open configuration.
Sterilization pouch
The invention provides a sterilizable pouch having at least one wall formed of a flexible film and including an opening formed therein for providing communication to an interior space of the package. A breathable material is disposed on an outer surface of the wall covering the opening. The breathable material is joined to the outer surface of the wall with a continuous heat seal. The flexible film forming the wall comprises a multilayer film having a peel feature that permits the breathable material to be peelably removed from the surface of the pouch.
PAIR OF EYE GOGGLES
A pair of eye goggles is provided. The pair of eye goggles includes a nosepiece fittable over a portion of a wearer's face, the nosepiece comprising one or more strands, at least a portion of the nosepiece comprising a phase change material, wherein a shape of the nosepiece changes upon an application of an energy to the phase changing portion to conform to the face; and a pair of eyepieces connected to the nosepiece.
WOUND DEBRIDEMENT CLOTH
Wound cleaning device having a carrier layer and a wound cleaning layer arranged thereon, designed for holding wound exudate and/or solid wound components and having cleaning threads, the carrier layer and/or the wound cleaning layer being provided with at least one storage material that increases the capacity for holding wound exudate.
