Method for the hands-free access to a motor vehicle and for monitoring the pressure of the tires mounted on said motor vehicle

A method for the hands-free access to a motor vehicle (V) is combined with a method for monitoring tire pressure. More particularly, wheel units (20, 21, 22, 23) belonging to the tire pressure recognition system detect the cessation of low frequency LF transmissions caused by the recognition of a badge B paired with the vehicle in order to trigger the measurement via the wheel units of the pressure and temperature values prevailing in each tire of the vehicle. These pressure and temperature measurements are sent to a central unit (14), which is mounted on the vehicle, so as to provide the driver with this information. The temperature and pressure measurements are transmitted to the central unit as soon as the measurements have been taken, irrespective of whether or not the driver has entered the vehicle.

A method, a UE and a communications system for releasing resources are disclosed. When the UE is in a CELL_FACH state, a resource release indication is transmitted from a network equipment to the UE to instruct the UE to release HS-RACH resources on the UE. Upon receiving the resource release indication, the UE releases previously allocate HS-RACH resources on the UE.

Periodic bandwidth widening for inductive coupled communications

In described examples, a method of inductive coupled communications includes providing a first resonant tank (first tank) and a second resonant tank (second tank) tuned to essentially the same resonant frequency, each having antenna coils and switches positioned for changing a Q and a bandwidth of their tank. The antenna coils are separated by a distance that provides near-field communications. The first tank is driven to for generating induced oscillations to transmit a predetermined number of carrier frequency cycles providing data. After the predetermined number of cycles, a switch is activated for widening the bandwidth of the first tank. Responsive to the oscillations in the first tank, the second tank begins induced oscillations. Upon detecting a bit associated with the induced oscillations, a switch is activated for widening the bandwidth of the second tank and a receiver circuit receiving an output of the second tank is reset.
