Electrical load management system and method
Techniques for distributing electrical power to a plurality of electrical loads can include coupling an existing group of electrical loads to a common power source through a load management system, measuring an aggregate group current drawn by at least the existing group of electrical loads and comparing the measured aggregate group current to an aggregate group current threshold value. When the measured aggregate group current exceeds the aggregate group current threshold value, increase a number of subgroups of the existing group, using subgroups that are formed without requiring information about individual current associated with the individual electrical loads, sequentially apply power to individual subgroups during non-overlapping time periods, sequentially measure at least a corresponding current drawn by the individual subgroups while power is applied to the subgroups, and sequentially comparing the measured current to a threshold value.
Tuning of filters
There is provided a method, including obtaining information indicating at least one reference characteristic; obtaining input data, the input data relating to the output of the tunable filter; determining, based on the input data, at least one characteristic of the tunable filter; upon detecting that the at least one determined characteristic does not match with the at least one reference characteristic, determining tuning instructions for the tunable filter; and applying the tuning instructions in adjusting the tunable filter.

Acoustic-wave device with active calibration mechanism
An acoustic-wave device with active calibration mechanism is provided. The acoustic-wave device with active calibration mechanism includes at least one acoustic-wave duplexer, a voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO), a frequency discriminator and a control circuit. The acoustic-wave duplexer includes a TX filter and an RX filter. The voltage-controlled oscillator includes a calibration resonator and a tunable negative impedance circuit. The TX filter, the RX filter and the calibration resonator are disposed on the same piezoelectric substrate. The frequency discriminator generates a calibration signal according to a frequency deviation of the calibration resonator. The control circuit is connected to the acoustic-wave duplexer and the frequency discriminator. The control circuit adjusts an operating frequency of the TX filter or an operating frequency of the RX filter according to the calibration signal.

Knee saver modular universal electrical box
A method and apparatus for wiring installations that is comprised of a universal electrical box that is made of a non-conductive block or hub that contains electrical conductors, which connect power from a building's electrical power source, to various electrical components. One design, can handle nine sheathed cables in a standard box, with five #14 wire and four #12 wire lines. Once installed, the current is redirected without physically moving the wires and will power up only if the electrical component and the wires are of the same amperage. All wires including the ground wires are always visible, while electrical components are installed and operating. Individual electrical lines are identifiable, dead-ended, and with the visibility of all wires, connecting the wires is now possible before the rough inspection. The lines can be energized while the walls are open, for troubleshooting. It offers a two piece device which can be used as a receptacle, a switch, light or for fan installations, 110 or 220 line, etc., providing the necessary electrical lines are there.
