Spine board with cleats for securing a patient
A spine board for evacuating a patient from an accident site. At least one cleat is positioned on a longitudinal edge of the spine board and having a proximal end coupled to the spine board, and a distal end disposed away from the spine board and formed in a hook shape, so that securing means, such as straps, can be quickly attached to the cleat to secure to the spine board, the head of a patient placed on the spine board, the head immobilizer placed at the sides of the head, and a cervical collar wrapped around the neck of the patient, without having to lift the spine board off the ground the spine board while the patient laying thereon, and that can be used in any weather or ambient light conditions, and can even be attached by feel. In accordance with an exemplary embodiment, the cleat is coupled to a groove or on an axle extending along a longitudinal edge of the spine board and positioned adjustably along the groove. In accordance with another exemplary embodiment, a retrofittable cleat array includes a cleat support structure is fixed to a top plate. The cleat support structure and the cleat are insertable into a through-slot in a pre-existing board.
Autonomous critical care systems and integrated combat casualty care systems
Systems, devices, and methods for monitoring and treating a patient on route to a medical facility are disclosed. The system comprises a critical care unit; at least one patient monitoring device coupled to the critical care unit, wherein the critical care unit obtains physiological data about the patient from each patient monitoring device; at least one patient treatment device coupled to the critical care unit, wherein the critical care unit provides treatment instructions to each patient treatment device; a two way communications device coupled to the critical care unit; and a remote communications terminal in communication with the two way communications device. The critical care unit preferably sends the physiological data to the remote communications terminal and receives the treatment instructions from the remote communications terminal via the two way communications device.

The critical care unit preferably sends the physiological data to the remote communications terminal and receives the treatment instructions from the remote communications terminal via the two way communications device.

An ambulance cot and cot loading and unloading system for an emergency vehicle comprises a cot having a head end, a base for mounting to a deck of an emergency vehicle, a track mounted for linear movement along said base, and an arm mounted for linear movement along said track from a retracted position to an extended position. The arm is and configured to engage the cot, and wherein when the track is extended along the base and the arm is extended along the track the arm is extended from the base in an extended position and is configured for lifting the cot and providing cantilevered support to the cot while in the extended position.

An ambulance cot and cot loading and unloading system for an emergency vehicle comprises a cot having a head end, a base for mounting to a deck of an emergency vehicle, a track mounted for linear movement along said base, and an arm mounted for linear movement along said track from a retracted position to an extended position. Adjustable furniture
The invention provides an adjustable bed comprising a frame (20) and at least one adjustable body support section including at least an adjustable backrest support section (12) pivotally mounted for angular adjustment with respect to the frame. The frame comprises at least two hinged sections (20a, 20b) including a head end sub-assembly configured as an upper body supporting section on which the backrest support section is mounted, and a separate toe end sub-assembly configured as a lower body supporting section hinged with respect to the upper body supporting section. Actuator means (40) is disposed within at least the upper body section for angular adjustment of the adjustable body support section. The head end sub-assembly and the toe end sub-assembly are capable of being folded together to reduce the length dimension of the bed for transportation and/or storage purposes and subsequently unfolded to provide a full length adjustable bed.
System for fixation of flexible stretcher to hard stretcher
This present invention describes a system for fixation of a flexible stretcher to a hard stretcher, comprising multiple belts made of flexible material affixed via a multiplicity of strap adjusters and bars to the flexible stretcher, and a flexible and adjustable cross connection belt, which, because of their disposition and technical characteristics, enable fixation of the hard stretcher, together with a victim individual, to the body of the flexible stretcher, making the movement of the individual from one stretcher to another unnecessary.

A disclosed example child carrier includes a child support pouch to receive a child in a substantially upright position, where the child support pouch includes an upper pouch area, a medial pouch area and a lower pouch area. The example child carrier also includes a harness to support the child support pouch on an adult, where the harness includes a first upper strap coupled to the upper pouch area, a second upper strap coupled to the upper pouch area, and a lower strap coupled to the medial pouch area. The example child carrier also includes a first leg support coupled to the child support pouch at the lower pouch area, where the first leg support pouch has a first continuously adjustable operative surface area, and a second leg support coupled to the child support pouch at the lower pouch area, where the second leg support pouch having a second continuously adjustable surface area.
