A method of operation in an Ethernet transceiver is disclosed. The method includes initiating a training mode of operation, and transmitting Infofield frames to a link partner. Each Infofield frame including a payload field to provide data to the link partner. A flow of the transmitted Infofield frames is controlled such that a new Infofield frame is not transmitted before a previous Infofield frame is received by the link partner.

Systems, methods, and devices of the various embodiments enable headphone users to he hear audible announcements of relevance to the user. In the various embodiments, a user device, such as headphones, may receive an announcement, determine whether the announcement is of interest to the user, and pause the current audio output by the headphones and enable the user to hear the announcement. In an embodiment, an announcement system may transmit announcements audibly and via a wireless channel, for example via broadcast and/or multicast transmission, to enable user devices to receive announcements and play relevant announcements via the headphones. In another embodiment, an announcement system may embedded announcement identifiers within audible announcements to enable a user device to identify announcements of interest. In another embodiment, a user device may filter received audio to identify announcements of interest to the user based on recognized subject matter within the received audio.

Low frequency or ultra wide band control by BLE in identification device

A vehicle access system includes an identification device with a first transceiver, a short-range transceiver and a processor configured to control the first transceiver and the short-range transceiver to activate the first transceiver only when a distance measurement between the identification device and a vehicle is within a predefined range as determined utilizing the short-range transceiver.

A base device for a portable source device includes an output device and a proximity sensor configured (i) to receive a proximity signal associated with the portable source device when the portable source device is disposed in proximity thereto and (ii) to generate a proximity event notification in response to receiving the proximity signal. The base device includes a controller disposed in electrical communication with the proximity sensor and configured to, in response to receiving the proximity event notification from the proximity sensor, transmit a command signal to the portable source device. The command signal is operable to configure the portable source device to automatically send content to the output device via a wireless communication link.

System for transmitting control signals over twisted pair cabling using common mode of transformer

A system for transmitting control systems over twisted pair cabling. The system includes a first microcontroller transmitting a first single ended signal and receiving a second single ended signal. It also includes a first differential transmitter coupled to the first microcontroller for receiving the first single ended signal from the first microcontroller and converting it to a differential signal over a first differential line and a second differential line; and, a first differential receiver coupled to the first microcontroller for receiving a third differential line and a fourth differential line and converting it to a differential receiver signal, the differential receiver signal coupled to the second single ended signal. The system has a first transformer having first, second, third, and fourth center-tapped coils, the first differential line coupled to the center tap of the first coil, the second differential line coupled to the center tap of the fourth coil, the third differential line coupled to the center tap of the second coil, and the fourth differential line coupled to the center tap of the third coil, whereby the common mode of the first transformer is used to transmit a first control signal and to receive control signal responses over the twisted pair at the first processor.

Digital signal routing circuit

An integrated circuit for digital signal routing. The integrated circuit has analog and digital inputs and outputs, including digital interfaces for connection to other integrated circuits. Inputs, including the digital interfaces, act as data sources. Outputs, including the digital interfaces, act as data destinations. The integrated circuit also includes signal processing blocks, which can act as data sources and data destinations. Signal routing is achieved by means of a multiply-accumulate block, which takes data from one or more data source and, after any required scaling, generates output data for a data destination. Data from a data source is buffered for an entire period of a data sample clock so that the multiply-accumulate block can retrieve the data at any point in the period, and output data of the multiply-accumulate block is buffered for an entire period of the data sample clock so that the data destination can retrieve the data at any point in the period. Multiple signal paths can be defined by configuration data supplied to the device, either by a user, or by software. The multiply-accumulate block operates on a time division multiplexed basis, so that multiple signal paths can be processed within one period of the sample clock. Each signal path has a respective sample clock rate, and paths with different sample clock rates can be routed through the multiply-accumulate block on a time division multiplexed basis independently of each other. Thus, speech signals at 8 kHz or 16 kHz can be processed concurrently with audio data at 44.ikHz or 48 kHz.

Method and system for permitting remote check-in and coordinating access control

Methods, systems, and devices for controlling access within a multi-facility room are provided. More specifically, a guest of the multi-room facility is allowed to remotely confirm reservations to the facility as well as bypass the front desk of the multi-room for check-in purposes. At a location within the facility, the guest is allowed to confirm their arrival, check-in, and have their access credential written with personalized access data that may be useable for the duration of the guest's stay.
