Cushioned waterless sanitary toilet
A toilet assembly includes a cushion defining a cushion niche and configured to be positioned under and support a backside of an individual. The toilet assembly also includes a waste collection receptacle having a receptacle body defining a sump configured to hold human waste. The waste collection receptacle is characterized by an external contour configured to selectively fit into the cushion niche and facilitate removal of the receptacle from the cushion niche when the cushion is positioned under the backside of the individual. The toilet assembly additionally includes a receptacle lid configured to be selectively opened to expose the sump and closed to hermetically seal the sump when the receptacle is positioned inside the cushion niche. A method of managing toiletry needs of an individual using the toilet assembly is also disclosed.
Attachable bedside urinal holder
A urinal holder is provided. The urinal holder comprises a housing having a sidewall and a pair of opposing open ends. The sidewall defines an interior volume, such that the interior volume of the housing slidably receives a handle of a bedside urinal container. A dial is affixed to an outer surface of the housing, wherein the dial rotates the orientation of a longitudinal axis of the housing. A button is disposed on the dial that selectively locks and unlocks rotational movement of the dial. A fastener is disposed on a bottom end of the dial, wherein the fastener secures the dial to a surface. The fastener can be a magnet that secures the attachable bedside urinal holder to a metal surface.
SOFT SEAL BOTTLE BAND
A band of stretchable material has dimensions suitable to be stretched over the neck of a urinal bottle. The neck has exposed edges that can come into contact with a user's hand, arms, male member, and/or any other portions of a user's anatomy, and the band is sized so that it covers those edges of the bottle neck. The band has a length and a diameter, and that diameter is smaller than the diameter of the neck in a urinal bottle. That way, when stretched over the neck, the bank will cover the edges of the neck of the bottle. In use, the band will also cover at least some portion of the opening in the neck of the urinal bottle.
Mobile seat supporting transfer apparatus
Transfer apparatus designed as a mobile, generally C-shaped frame assembly including top and bottom portions removably connected by at least one spacer and a seat adapted to support a patient in a sitting or suspended sitting position at multiple levels. A horizontal part of the top portion is a seat support, the bottom portion is a wheeled base, and spacers fix a selected height of the seat support. The apparatus operates on patient support surfaces with and without vertical movement capability, enables use of a commode over and away from the bed by the patient in a seating position, and enables changing of a seat under the sitting patient. The transfer apparatus provides a cost effective, lightweight, rigid, without moving parts mobile seat support assembly as a commode/wheelchair (C/W) capable of performing multifunctional safe patient transfer to and from patient support surfaces with and without vertical movement.
Methods of manufacture of containers, pre-containers, blanks for containers and containers for retaining fluids
A method of producing a container for retaining fluid, the method comprises the steps of: providing a blank which, when assembled, forms a container; folding the blank along one or more fold lines across the blank's width to form a substantially rectangular side wall such that first and second ends of the substantially rectangular side wall are brought into close proximity; sealing the first and second ends of the substantially rectangular side wall to one another; deforming one or more deformable portions which span across the one or more fold lines such that the deformable portions are disposed inwardly in order to force the remainder of the side wall outwards to create an opening within the blank; and sealing a base around the circumference of a first edge of the side wall.
DEVICE FOR THE DISCHARGE OF URINE
Devices for the discharge of bodily waste, in particular for the soiling-free discharge of bodily waste from a person situated on a bed or a seat. A bed's mattress (2) is provided with a slot (4) that may be opened and closed, and which extends continuously through the thickness of the mattress (2). The slot is controllably openable and closable via an actuated mechanism. Hygienic elimination of bodily waste while lying down or sitting may be achieved with little effort.
Portable urinal mounting assembly
A portable urinal mounting assembly selectively connectable to a walker having a pair of side support assemblies including upper and lower support braces. The mounting assembly comprises an body sleeve adapted to receive a portable urinal. Front left and right straps and rear left and right straps are attached to the body sleeve. Each of the front and rear left and right straps have an end portion including an attachment device. The end portions of the straps are arranged and designed to be removably secured to the upper and lower support braces of the pair of side support assemblies.
Integrated hospital bed with bath and wash facilities
The embodiments herein discloses a patient friendly bed provided with a toilet facility that enables the patient to use the toilet without assistance and without leaving the bed. A mattress provided in the bed comprises a trap door which separates to allow the patient to perform bodily functions. The bed comprises a cleaning and waste packaging mechanism for packaging solid and liquid waste in a sealed container and for storing the packaged waste for later removal. The bed is operable using a remote control unit. A sensor device is worn around the patient waist and stomach area to sense a need of the patient to perform bodily functions and automatically operate the bed functions.
