A method for configuring a time division duplex (TDD) of a user equipment in a communication system, according to one embodiment of the present invention, comprises the steps of: receiving from a base station a first TDD configuration; receiving from the base station a message including information related to a dynamic TDD configuration; receiving a second TDD configuration according to the received information related to the dynamic TDD configuration; receiving from the base station an uplink grant; and determining whether to apply the first TDD configuration or the second TDD configuration based on a method by which the unlink grant is received. According to one embodiment of the present invention, the advantages of configuring a shorter cycle of the TDD to the user equipment supporting the TDD in a wireless communication system, and rapidly configuring the TDD to the user equipment variably according to a communication situation are provided.
Apparatus and method
[Object] To enable interference of directional beams between cells to further decrease. [Solution] Provided is an apparatus including: an acquisition unit that acquires information about a directional beam that is provided from a neighbor base station of a base station, the directional beam serving as an interference source for a terminal apparatus connected to the neighbor base station among a plurality of directional beams which is able to be formed by the base station; and a control unit that decides an operation of the base station regarding transmission of a signal over the directional beam on the basis of the information.
Timing determination techniques for 5G radio access network cells
Timing determination techniques for 5G radio access network cells are described. According to various such techniques, during a random access procedure in a 5G cell, user equipment (UE) may determine slot offset values applicable to various transmissions associated with the random access procedure using procedures that do not rely on UE-specific radio resource control (RRC) signaling. According to some such techniques, during system information acquisition in a 5G cell, a UE may determine applicable slot offset values for one or more system information block (SIB) transmissions using procedures that do not rely on UE-specific radio resource control (RRC) signaling. Other embodiments are described and claimed.
OPERATING A MODAL ANTENNA SYSTEM FOR POINT TO MULTIPOINT COMMUNICATIONS
Systems and methods for point to multipoint communications are provided. In one example, a system includes one or more modal antennas. Each modal antenna is configured to operate in a plurality of modes. The system can include a transceiver configured to communicate with a plurality of client devices over a wireless communication medium via the one or more modal antennas over a plurality of frames. The system can include one or more control devices configured to control the operation of the one or more modal antennas. For each of the plurality of frames communicated to one of the plurality of client devices, the one or more control devices are configured to determine a selected mode of the plurality of modes to communicate during the frame and to operate at least one of the one or more modal antennas in the selected mode during the frame.
Uplink control channel resource definition and mapping to user equipment
Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described for defining uplink control channel resources and mapping uplink control channel resources to a user equipment (UE). Approaches described herein include identifying a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) format to be used for a subsequent PUCCH transmission by the UE, identifying a PUCCH resource mapping rule based at least in part on the PUCCH format, and determining an uplink transmission resource to be used for the subsequent PUCCH transmission based at least in part on the PUCCH resource mapping rule. The PUCCH resource mapping rule may be explicit and/or implicit.
