The body may include a treatment bed.
Aerosol containment enclosure
An aerosol containment enclosure is used to isolate an air mass immediately surrounding a patient known or suspected to have a disease which may be transmitted through the air. The enclosure cooperates with a patient support apparatus. In embodiments, a flexible rod supports a substantially aerosol impermeable covering and is connected to the patient support apparatus. The enclosure is collapsible to a predetermined collapsed shape and expandable to a predetermined erect shape. In embodiments, a portal in the covering provides access for care personnel or equipment. The aerosol containment enclosure is lightweight, compact, and partially or fully disposable. The enclosure may be rapidly erected around a patient in an ambulance or other treatment setting.
Patient Protection Apparatus and Associated Methods
Embodiments of the present invention are related to a patient protection apparatus with a first side, a second side, a back, a top and a front visor. The first side and second side each include at least one of a side arm aperture, an instrument aperture and an air filter interface. The back includes a plurality of back arm apertures and at least one back instrument aperture. The top has a wider length at the front of the apparatus and a shorter length at the back allowing the first side and second side to taper at an angle from the front to the back. Some embodiments include wheels for easy transportation and removable front enclosures. Other embodiments include smaller dimensions for ease of transport and more versatile application.
Mobile medical services system
The present invention relates to a system for delivering medical services in a mobile setting that includes a frame assembly, where said frame assembly is mounted to an enclosed portable compartment. The frame assembly forms an examination and therapy area for administering a multitude therapy modalities. The therapy area includes a plurality of tables convertibly and plurality of cabinets integrated into the frame assembly. A grouping of training equipment removably engages with the frame assembly related to various therapy techniques. The enclosed portable compartment may be an interior of a van or an interior of a portable pod.
Patient isolation system and method
A portable, protective enclosure for coupling to a patient support includes a collapsible frame, a canopy drape, a pair of gloves and sleeves configured for receiving hands and arms of a user, and a zipper disposed along one of the side surfaces of the drape, wherein the side surface is not folded about itself when the zipper is in an open state. A pair of filters are disposed on opposing sides of one of the side surfaces of the canopy drape, the filters together providing high efficiency particulate air filtration for at least 99.97% of airborne particulate 0.3 microns in diameter. Gas-permeable media is provided for air intake. A fan in communication with the first and second filters is provided for creating negative pressure in the internal region of the canopy drape, the fan configured to evacuate air from the internal region. A negative pressure indicator also is included.
ISOLATION ASSEMBLY DETACHABLY INSTALLED ON A BED AND A BED SET THEREWIT
An isolation assembly includes a mattress pad, a supporting frame set and an isolation mask. The mattress pad is installed on a bed. The supporting frame set is disposed on the bed. The isolation mask is installed on the supporting frame set. The supporting frame set holds the isolation mask, such that the isolation mask is located around a periphery of the mattress pad, so as to form an isolation space for the mattress pad to be accommodated.
Enclosures Including Systems and Methods Thereof for Establishing a Sterile Environment for a Medical Procedure
Disclosed are enclosures for establishing a sterile environment over a patient for a medical procedure, as well as systems and methods thereof. An enclosure can include an expandable portion of a barrier separating a sterile environment inside of the enclosure from a non-sterile environment outside of the enclosure and a patient-interfacing portion of the barrier. The enclosure can also include a support system coupled to the patient-interfacing portion of the barrier in some embodiments. The patient-interfacing portion of the barrier can include one or more fenestrations for placement directly over one or more areas of interest of the patient, as well as for access to the areas of interest from within the sterile environment. When present, the support system can flank the fenestration. The support system is configured to support the enclosure on a surface when placed over an appendage of the patient or a main body of the patient.
INFECTIOUS DISEASE ISOLATION MODULE
A disease isolation module for patients, where the module includes an inflatable body adapted to accommodate a bed for a patient, transparent walls on the inflatable body to enable observation of the patient, and a door on the inflatable body.
