Infection Control Systems and Devices

The disclosed infection control systems and devices can be easily and quickly deployed by clinicians and staff in emergent and routine medical environments to provide adequate protection from bio-aerosolized and droplet material while allowing appropriate access to and visibility of the patient during such procedures. The infection control devices may include a base member and a frame disposed on the base member. The frame may be configured to move between a collapsed state and an expanded state with respect to the base member. The frame may include a first support member and a second support member configured to extend vertically from the base member when in the expanded state. The devices may include an enclosure member that is disposed on the frame and the base member and configured to define an enclosure above the base member. The devices may also include access member(s) configured to provide access to the enclosure.

Self-contained negative pressure environment device and system

A system directed to providing a self-contained negative pressure environment (SCONE) to remove airborne particulates emitted from a patient. The system prevents exposure to pathogenic biological airborne particulates during triage, transportation, and treatment, including aerosol generating procedures (AGPs) and end of life care. This system is directed to a collapsible device having a flexible cover covering two support members, with openings in the flexible cover such that medical professionals can reach in and operate within. The present invention is further adaptable to patients and operating environments of various sizes.

Apparatus and Method for Capturing Aerosols

An aerosol containment device is designed for use in containing aerosols discharged during a dental procedure. In some embodiments, the aerosol containment device includes a vacuum source, a vacuum hose connected to the vacuum source, a manifold connected to the vacuum hose, and a clear plastic shield connected to the manifold. The manifold includes a front inlet, a rear discharge connected to the vacuum hose, and a plenum extending between the front inlet and the rear discharge. In some embodiments, the manifold includes a plurality of entry vanes adjacent to the front inlet and a plurality of interior foils connected to the entry vanes. In other embodiments, the manifold includes a plurality of entry vanes adjacent to the front inlet and a plurality of interior vanes connected to the entry vanes. In other embodiments, the manifold does not include entry vanes, interior vanes, or interior foils.

PATIENT ISOLATOR

A patient isolator includes a base and a cover which is arranged to seal with the base. The cover is formed from a rigid material and has two access ports on an end face. The two access ports are angled in a width direction relative to a plane which extends parallel to the width direction of the patient isolator. The two access ports are angled relative to each other. A method of isolating a patient from an environment is also disclosed

Sleep chamber
