SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR REDUCING AIRBORNE MICROBES
Systems and methods of reducing airborne contaminants, such as airborne microorganisms, including bacterial, viral, and fungal microbes, in an indoor space are disclosed. The method includes positioning a portable photo-catalytic oxidation system proximate a source of contaminants in the indoor space and activating the photo-catalytic oxidation system to circulate air through the photo-catalytic oxidation system at a rate ranging from approximately 16 to approximately 24 air exchanges per hour in the indoor space. The photo-catalytic oxidation system is configured to oxidize contaminates in the air.
Brake system for architectural arm
An arm is pivotally coupled to a support structure at one end and a patient care equipment support, such as a service head, is pivotally coupled to the arm at the other end. The arm has a first portion and a second portion coupled to the first portion for extension and retraction relative to the first portion. Brakes are provided to brake the extension and retraction of the portions of the arm, to brake the pivoting movement of the arm relative to the support structure, and to brake the pivoting movement of the patient care equipment support relative to the arm. Each of the brakes is releasable.
APPARATUS SUPPORT, IN PARTICULAR FOR FASTENING A MOBILE MEDICAL APPARATUS, AND MEDICAL ASSEMBLY HAVING SAME
An apparatus support, intended for fastening a mobile medical apparatus such as a defibrillator, an oxygen apparatus, a ventilator, a monitor, an infusion apparatus, an inhalation apparatus, an electrocardiograph, a transfusion pump, a life support system, an extracorporeal system, and a heart-lung machine, has a wall holder and a mounting plate. In the intended mounting state, the apparatus is oriented at least substantially or exactly horizontally and has upper and lower faces and side edges. The mounting plate has a fastening device for fastening a medical apparatus that is to be arranged on the upper face, and a damping device via which the mounting plate is fixed on the wall holder. The invention further relates to a medical assembly having such an apparatus support and having a medical apparatus as described above.
MEDICAL CART FOR USE IN PATIENT CARE
A medical cart for use in patient care is provided, the medical cart comprising: a front; a back; sides; four legs which have a distal end, a proximal end and a bore at least partially therebetween terminating in an aperture at the proximal end; a spring plunger mounted on each leg for releasably retaining a pole in the bore; a bracket attached to each leg proximate to the distal end; a caster rotatably attached to each bracket; a lower shelf attached to the legs and extending between the legs; a ballast sleeve below the lower shelf for releasably retaining weight plates; and an upper shelf attached to the legs and extending between the legs, the upper shelf including a recess at the front extending towards the back.
PRESSURE ULCER DETECTION SYSTEMS AND METHODS
A pressure ulcer detection system includes a support surface assembly including a transparent window, a signal generator/receiver, and an optical fiber embedded at least in part in the support surface assembly. The fiber conveys outgoing radiation from the signal generator/receiver to the window thereby illuminating a tissue site which overlies the window and conveys incoming radiation reflected from the tissue site and through the window back to the generator/receiver. The system also includes a controller in communication with the signal generator/receiver. The controller comprises a processor adapted to assess health status of tissue at the tissue site based on a property of at least one of the outgoing radiation and the incoming radiation, and to communicate an outcome of the assessment to a destination.

MOVEMENT-TOLERANT WIRING ARRANGEMENT FOR A STAND DEVICE
The invention relates to a movement-tolerant wiring arrangement (10), more particularly for a stand device (1) configured for arrangement in an operating room, comprising a mounting apparatus (20) for movement-tolerant mounting of at least one line (70), more particularly a cable, about an axis of rotation (D) between two connection components (3; 4; 104) that are displaceable, more particularly twistable, relative to one another; and a fastening apparatus (30; 130) for arranging the at least one line relative to one of the connection components (3; 4; 104), more particularly at a socket of the stand device; wherein the mounting apparatus (20) is fixable to the fastening apparatus (30; 130) and configured for movement-tolerant, in particular, rotation-tolerant guidance of the at least one line about the axis of rotation and/or in the direction at least approximately parallel to the axis of rotation. Furthermore, the invention relates to a rotary joint, a socket or a stand device, respectively, with such a wiring arrangement, and the use of such a wiring arrangement (10) at a stand device (1), more particularly in the operating room.
Shelving System
A shelving system (10) comprising a plurality of tubular posts (12) and a plurality of rail segments (72) securable parallel to the posts (14). Each of the rail segments (72) comprises an elongate member having a U-shaped cross section such that the rail segment includes a central wall (74) and first and second side walls (76, 77) such that the posts (12) are received between the first and second side walls (76, 77) and wherein the rail segments (72) include apertures (46) along the lengths thereof to receive tracks (48) for supporting drawers (51).
Accessory Support And Coupling Systems For An Accessory Support
The present disclosure provides a coupling system for coupling a medical accessory to an accessory support is provided. The present disclosure also provides a system for powering a medical accessory with an accessory support.
Secure equipment transfer system
A method of using a transfer system includes: supporting a first docking cone of the transfer system by a first support platform to orient a docking cone axis of the first docking cone with a vertical axis; inserting the first docking cone into a first docking cup of a transfer device of the transfer system; and locking the first docking cone within the first docking cup by a security mechanism of the transfer device, the security mechanism comprising a first security lever and a second security lever.
