Method to refine addressees in a group environment

For an electronic communication environment, an apparatus for refining addresses in a group messaging environment is disclosed. The apparatus may include a processor and a memory that stores code executable by the processor, including code that identifies a message addressed to a group, resolves the group into a plurality of addressees, and sends the message to a subset of the addressees. The apparatus may notify the user that the message is addressed to the group. The apparatus may further receive user input defining the subset of the addressees, wherein the message is addressed based on the user input. Additionally, the apparatus may prompt for confirmation in response to the user selecting all addressees in the group. A method and computer program product also perform the functions of the apparatus.

A compose form for drafting a message is presented inline within a window along with a message list. For example, instead of overlaying the message application's user interface (UI) with a new window for composing a message, the compose form is displayed within a portion of the window reserved for viewing content of messages. While composing the message using the compose form, the rest of the message application's UI remains visible and accessible to the user. For example, the user may navigate to another folder and/or move to another message/conversation by interacting with the tree view/message list view. A draft of the message being composed may be automatically saved when the user navigates away from the compose form (e.g. by selecting another conversation in the list view).

The management device also creates a messaging session with the automated support application and, in response, displays a messaging window. The management device may then send, to the automated support application via the messaging session, data generated during the configuration session. The management device may also receive, from the automated support application via the messaging session, an automated support application command directed to the network device and execute, on the network device via the configuration session, the automated support application command.

Categorizing users based on similarity of posed questions, answers and supporting evidence

Mechanisms are provided for performing an operation based on an identification of similar lines of questioning by input question sources. Question information identifying extracted features of an input question and a first source of the input question is obtained. A clustering operation is performed to cluster the input question with one or more other questions of a cluster based on a similarity of the extracted features of the input question to features of the one or more other questions. An operation is performed based on results of the clustering of the input question with the one or more other questions.

System and method for providing centralized management and distribution of information to remote users

The invention includes systems, methods, and software applications for centrally maintaining information and automatically distributing relevant portions of the information to remote users. In one embodiment, a central server stores the information, which is maintained on the central server. Periodically, or each time the server information is updated, the server identifies the portion of the information that is relevant to each user and downloads the relevant portion of information to each user, for example to a mobile device such as a Blackberry. The invention may be used to maintain and timely distribute information related to emergency response procedures, sales or servicing schedules, and delivery schedules, among other things.

METHOD AND CONTROL NODE FOR HANDLING INCOMING COMMUNICATION IN A VEHICLE

A method and a control node for handling incoming communication directed to a first wireless device when a user of the first wireless device is driving a vehicle. The control node detects a second wireless device that is present in the vehicle. When an incoming communication directed to the first wireless device is received, the control node forwards the incoming communication to the second wireless device, to enable a user of the second wireless device to act upon the incoming communication. Thereby, the first wireless device will not emit any sound or vibration and its user will not be distracted and tempted to look at the device and/or respond to the communication. The control node may be implemented in the first wireless device, a network node or a vehicle node.

System and method of data and command request processing

Methods and systems are disclosed for processing data and command requests. In one aspect, a method for processing a data and command request is disclosed that includes receiving, at a server, a first electronic mail message from a requesting electronic mail address, the first electronic mail message including information that identifies an application. The method may also include transmitting, by the server, a query to an application data source associated with the application, the application data source being selected from a plurality of data sources associated with a plurality of applications and receiving, at the server, application data from the application data source. In addition, the method may also include transmitting, by the server, a second electronic mail message that includes at least some of the application data as a reply to the first electronic mail message. Systems and computer-readable media are also disclosed for implementing the above-described method.
