Interactive avatar in messaging environment
A sender sends an email message to a receiver. The message includes an avatar representing the sender. Upon receiving the message, if the receiver has a question related to the message, the receiver sends the question to the sender via the avatar. After receiving the question, the avatar remote server device correlates the question with the message through a MSG-ID associated with the receiver or avatar. The avatar remote server device parses and analyzes the question and then searches mailboxes, agendas, previous answers, toDoLists, folders, resumes, and/or address books of the sender to find a corresponding answer for the question. Then, the avatar remote server device provides the answer to the receiver via the avatar. Alternatively, upon receiving the question, the avatar remote server device sends a notification to the sender. If the sender has an online connectivity, the sender provides the answer to the receiver via the avatar.
Notification of potentially problematic textual messages
A processor may determine, using natural language processing, a writing style of content of a composed message written by a composer. The processor may analyze, using natural language processing, a set of previous message written by the composer. The processor may identify, based on the analyzing, writing habits of the composer. The processor may also identify a difference between the writing style of the content and the writing habits of the composer. The processor may display a notification of the difference to the user.
Information processing apparatus and information processing method
An information processing apparatus communicable with a first terminal device is configured to transmit a message in response to receiving an inquiry. The information processing apparatus includes: reference information referenced when responding to the inquiry received from the first terminal device, which includes at least one set of a question item and a response corresponding to the question item; and history information including inquiries received from the first terminal device and messages that are transmitted or received with respect to the received inquiries. The information processing apparatus opens a first screen displaying information in the history information, receives an operation of selecting change target information from the information displayed on the first screen, opens a second screen for updating the reference information corresponding to the selected change target information, and receives an updating operation for updating the reference information corresponding to the selected change target information through the second screen.
IDENTIFYING USER BEHAVIOR IN A DISTRIBUTED COMPUTING SYSTEM
A list of electronic mail (e-mail) accounts is extracted from an electronic mail system. A list of electronic mail accounts, with forwarding enabled, are identified as a set of collection accounts. A dropbox account is identified, from the collection accounts, as a destination e-mail account for the forwarded collection accounts. The collection accounts that forward to the dropbox account that has in excess of a threshold number of collection accounts forwarding to it, are identified as malicious e-mail collection accounts and are forwarded to a resolution system, for resolution.
System and method to create global conversation thread across communication channels
A system for creating a global conversation thread may include a processor that receives data associated with a plurality of conversation threads, each conversation thread comprising one or more conversations between the same people or the same roles. The processor may identify overlapping conversation threads of the plurality of conversation threads based on the data, and group overlapping conversation threads based on people or roles within the conversations. The processor may apply matching rules to identify related conversations including a targeted feature of interest, and create a global conversation thread based on the identified related conversations, the global conversation thread comprising conversation threads across different platforms.
System and method for exchanging information among exchange applications
In a system and method for accessing messages in a data store in a gateway, a data frame request, which is a structured SQL query, is received at the gateway. The received data frame request is applied to the gateway data store, which stores messages. A data frame is generated that comprises messages from the data store that are responsive to the received data frame request, the data frame having a format that is readable by a character editor.
Voice and text group chat display management techniques for wireless mobile terminals
A single content region in a chat history display is used to display entries representative of a plurality of messages corresponding to all chat histories for all of chat threads currently engaged in by a given mobile terminal. Additionally, a buddy list display supports management of chat buddies, a detail view display allows otherwise truncated messages to be displayed, and a text message editor display supports the composition of text messages. Each chat user may designate public display identifiers for purposes of identification to other chat users. Additionally, each user may designate private display identifiers for each of his/her buddies, which private display identifiers may be used to replace the public display identifiers for that user's buddies when displayed on the user's mobile terminal. In this manner, the use of speech and text based group chatting and similar services in wireless communication environments is more readily enabled.
Method of enabling digital music content to be downloaded to and used on a portable wireless computing device
The invention enables digital music content to be downloaded to and used on a portable wireless computing device. An application running on the wireless device has been automatically adapted to parameters associated with the wireless device without end-user input (e.g. the application has been configured in dependence on the device OS and firmware, related bugs, screen size, pixel number, security models, connection handling, memory etc. This application enables an end-user to browse and search music content on a remote server using a wireless network; to download music content from that remote server using the wireless network and to playback and manage that downloaded music content. The application also includes a digital rights management system that enables unlimited legal downloads of different music tracks to the device and also enables any of those tracks stored on the device to be played so long as a subscription service has not terminated.
PERSONAL MONITORING USING A REMOTE TIMER
Method and apparatus for monitoring the status and location of personnel using a remote timer. In some embodiments, a method includes logging in, through a network accessible device, a geo position of a subject to initiate a monitored session associated with the subject. A countdown timer of a remote server is initiated to denote a monitored time interval, the remote server in communication with the network accessible device over a network. A notification is generated and transmitted across the network to a monitoring device responsive to a conclusion of the monitored time interval.
Display method and device
Display methods and devices are disclosed. An exemplary display method may comprise: displaying a session list page, the session list page comprising a session page entry corresponding to a communication session in which a local end user participates; determining a read/unread status of a sent communication message by the local end user in the communication session; and displaying, in a display area of the session page entry corresponding to the communication session, a status identifier corresponding to the read/unread status.
