Content management system with integrated email service
Disclosed herein are techniques for combining content management system functionality with an email or messaging server. A system can associate an email with a content item, through express attachment, direct reference such as a link, indirect reference, or otherwise. The system can store the associated content item within content item storage or identify a stored content item that is identical to the content item that is associated with the email. The system can then enhance email service functionality with the stored content item. For example, the system can present the stored content item or information about the stored content item along with the email. The system can also automatically grant permissions to the stored content item with participants of the email.
System and method for discouraging inappropriate use of a mobile device
A system and method for discouraging the in appropriate use of a mobile device including registering a mobile device with a monitoring application running on a system coupled with a network. A mobile device is linked with the monitoring application through the network. The operational status of the mobile device is monitored to detect if a change occurs in the operational status. A change in the operational status of the mobile device is reported to the monitoring program with time information and the status change is displayed in a graphical interface, and a notification message is sent to a system user. Beacons might also be implemented to advise a device user to disable a mobile device to be monitored.
Generating interactive messages with entity assets
Systems and methods are provided for retrieving assets associated with branding for an entity, generating an interactive message comprising at least a first mechanical object, updating the first mechanical object with one or more of the assets associated with branding for the entity, and sending the generated interactive message to a plurality of computing devices. The systems and methods further provided for receiving from at least a subset of the plurality of computing devices, usage data associated with interaction by each computing device of the subset of computing devices with the interactive message, generating metrics for the interactive message from the usage data for the interactive message, and generating at least one report based on the metrics for the interactive message.
Including video feed in message thread
Aspects of the present disclosure involve a system comprising a computer-readable storage medium storing a program and method for including a video feed in a message thread. The program and method provide for determining that a message thread is being concurrently displayed on a first device associated with a first user and on a second device associated with a second user, the first user and the second user corresponding to contacts within a messaging application; and transmitting, in response to the determining, image data captured on the first device to the second device, for display within the message thread on the second device.
Lens-focused channel presentation
Presenting a lens-focused channel can include determining a state of a separate channel hosted on a data communications network. A topic-specific lens for federating a plurality of topic-specific messages conveyed over the data communications network can be configured in response to a predetermined condition indicated by the state of the channel. A lens-focused channel can be generated for presenting the plurality of topic-specific messages, as federated by the topic-specific lens, to a user over the data communications network.
Messaging system including an external-resource dock and drawer
A conversation interface in a messaging application is displayed, the conversation interface being presented to participants in a conversation that is being conducted on the messaging application. The conversation interface is constructed by determining statuses of at least two external resources that have been launched, within the context of the messaging application, by one or more of the conversation participants. An external resource notification interface (or “dock”) is displayed in the conversation interface, the external resource notification interface including icons corresponding to the at least two external resources. Upon user selection of the external resource notification interface, a list interface (or “drawer”) including user-selectable cells corresponding to the at least two external resources is displayed.
EMAIL SECURITY ANALYSIS
The technology described herein visibly depicts hidden message traits to help users determine whether an email is genuine or deceptive. The hidden message traits are revealed by identifying and changing attributes that keep the hidden traits from being displayed in a rendered message. Spam messages, phishing messages, and messages that include or link to malicious programs (e.g., malware, ransomware) are examples of unwanted messages that can harm a recipient. These messages often rely on deception to get past email filtering systems and to trick a user into acting on content in a message. The deception often involves including hidden traits in a message that fool an automated filtering system. The technology described herein shows the visible traits to a user by including them in the rendered version of the message.
ELECTRONIC TOOL AND METHODS FOR MEETINGS
An electronic meeting tool and method for communicating arbitrary media content from users at a meeting includes a node configuration adapted to operate a display node of a communications network, the display node being coupled to a first display. The node configuration is adapted to receive user selected arbitrary media content and to control display of the user selected arbitrary media content on the first display. A peripheral device adapted to communicate the user selected arbitrary media content via the communications network is a connection unit including a connector adapted to couple to a port of a processing device having a second display, a memory and an operating system, and a transmitter. A program is adapted to obtain user selected arbitrary media content, the program leaving a zero footprint on termination. The user may trigger a transfer of the user selected arbitrary media content to the transmitter.

Identification of sources of media traffic through a network
A method for identifying one or more unauthorised routes used for the termination of application-to-person (A2P) short message service (SMS) messages to a mobile telecommunications network, and a system for use in performing the method. An application service is stimulated to generate an A2P SMS message, and to send it to a collection point. The message is processed to obtain an identifier identifying a source of the message, and it is determined whether the identifier corresponds to an authorised source of A2P traffic to the network.
