System and method for controlling configuration settings for mobile communication devices and services
A system for controlling configuration settings for mobile data communication devices and services includes a redirection server and a policy generation system. The redirection server detects a triggering event in a host system and in response to the triggering event continuously redirects data items from the host system to a wireless network. Each mobile data communication device receives data items from the wireless network and includes a device configuration stored in a memory location on the mobile data communication device. The device configuration of each mobile data communication device controls one or more functions of the mobile data communication device. The policy generation system receives a policy setting from a user interface and stores the policy setting in a user information record associated with a mobile data communication device. The redirection server detects the policy setting in the user information record and in response to detecting the policy setting transmits the policy setting over the wireless network to the mobile data communication device associated with the user information record. The mobile data communication device automatically modifies the device configuration to include the policy setting. Methods of controlling a configuration setting in mobile data communication devices are also disclosed.
Dynamic configuration of application component tiles
A server with a tile construction module has instructions executed by a processor to collect communication threads associated with a user. Tiles representative of the communication threads are dynamically configured in accordance with specified policies to form a tile configuration. The tile configuration is supplied to the user.
User terminal apparatus, server, and control method thereof
A user terminal and a control method thereof are provided. The user terminal includes a communicator configured to communicate with a server; a display configured to display a message screen including a plurality of messages exchanged between the user terminal and the server; and a processor configured to control the display to display the plurality of messages on the message screen in an individually selectable manner, and based on at least one message of the plurality of messages being selected on the message screen and at least one share target, with which to share the at least some of the plurality of messages, being selected, control the communicator to transmit, to the server, information regarding the at least one message of the plurality of messages and the at least one share target.
Provisional modes for multi-mode network devices
Techniques for implementing a provisional mode in a multi-mode network device (i.e., a network device that supports at least first and second modes of operation) are provided. According to one embodiment, the network device can receive, while running in the first mode, a request to enter the second mode. In response to the request, the network device can enter a third mode that is a provisional version of the second mode. Then, while running in the third mode, the network device can accept one or more configuration commands or settings for the second mode while simultaneously processing live network traffic according to the first mode.
SERVICING GROUP-BASED COMMUNICATION WORKSPACE ADD REQUESTS WITHIN A GROUP-BASED COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
Embodiments of the present disclosure provide methods, systems, apparatuses, and computer program products for servicing a group-based communication workspace add request within a group-based communication system.
System and method for securely performing multiple stage email processing with embedded codes
A system and method for performing email processing at multiple stages along an email delivery chain. A first embodiment uses an email filter to receive information about an email message from a message transfer agent and then perform limited email pre-processing on the email message. The email filter then stores instructions and data such as the results from the email pre-processing into an internet email header added to the email message. The instructions and data placed into the email header may be encrypted for privacy and security. A later email program may extract the instructions and data from the internet email header and continue the email processing. One disclosed application of the multi-stage email processing system is email authentication.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DETERMINING OPEN-ENDED RESPONSE QUALITY
A method of filtering an original set of user-provided text responses across a network, including receiving, from one or more processors on one or more user computers, multiple user-provided text responses to a question, the multiple user-provided text responses forming the set, identifying text responses that are no-value text responses and removing the no-value text responses from the original set, removing text responses from the original set where the length of the response does not meet a threshold length, identifying text responses that are gibberish responses and removing gibberish responses from the original set, sending the remaining responses as a filtered set of responses to a machine learning system, the machine learning system to: perform clustering on the filtered set to identify one or more clusters of text responses that are similar to each other, identifying text responses outside the one or more clusters as noise responses, scoring the noise responses, and removing text responses having a score equal to or below a threshold score from the filtered set of responses to produce a final set, and outputting the final set of responses to an information gatherer.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR CONTEXTUAL SUMMARIZATION IN AN ONLINE CONVERSATION CHANNEL
Embodiments described herein provide a contextual conversation summarization mechanism on a chat platform. Specifically, a communication interface receives a first conversation line originated from a first user and a second conversation line originated from a second user. The mechanism then determines that the first conversational line and the second conversational line belong to a same conversation channel based on a channel indicator. The first conversation line and the second conversation line are concatenated as an input to a summarization model. The summarization model then generates a summary of the conversation channel associated with a timestamp. A first visualization element representing a first conversation contribution by the first user and a second visualization element representing a second conversation contribution by the second user are generated based on the generated summary. A user interface visualization of the summary is generated using the first visualization element and the second visualization element.
CONTROL PROGRAM FOR TERMINAL DEVICE, TERMINAL DEVICE, CONTROL METHOD FOR TERMINAL DEVICE, CONTROL PROGRAM FOR SERVER DEVICE, SERVER DEVICE, AND CONTROL METHOD FOR SERVER DEVICE
A control method includes displaying, by a terminal device of a first user, a first image including a first object indicating the first user, and a second image including a second object indicating a second user; sending, from the terminal device of the first user to a terminal device of the second user, information relating to display of the first image; displaying the first image including the first object as being changed in accordance with an action or first audio data of the first user; displaying the second image including the second object as being changed in accordance with an action or second audio data of the second user; and displaying the first image including the first object as being changed in accordance with an instruction from the first user and displaying the second image as being changed in accordance with the instruction from the first user.
Fitness activity related messaging
In one embodiment, a method for generating a message to a friend of a user is provided, comprising: processing activity data of a first user measured by an activity monitoring device to update a value of an activity metric for the first user; identifying a change in an inequality relationship between the value of the activity metric for the first user and a value of the activity metric for a second user; in response to identifying the change in the inequality relationship, prompting the first user to generate a message to the second user.
