CONTACT LIST AGGREGATION AND DISPLAY

A technique for contact list aggregation across networks involves logging into low level networks through a high level network. A system constructed according to the technique may include a network interface coupled to the different low level networks. The system may further include a contact aggregation engine coupled to the network interface and a network contacts database. In operation the system logs into one or more of the low level networks (or facilitates login for a user). To the extent that the data in the network contacts database is not current, the contact aggregation engine updates the networks contacts database contact information, then provides an aggregated contact list including the contact information to a display device. A method according to the technique may include logging into a high level network and displaying contacts from the one or more low level networks in an aggregated contact list.

USING A MEASURE OF INFLUENCE OF SENDER IN DETERMINING A SECURITY RISK ASSOCIATED WITH AN ELECTRONIC MESSAGE

A measure of influence of a sender entity is determined for a message receiving entity based at least in part on an analysis of previous electronic messages sent by the sender entity. An electronic message associated with the sender entity is received. The measure of influence of the sender entity is utilized to determine a security risk associated with the received electronic message.

Information sharing method and apparatus

Embodiments of the present invention relate to an information sharing method and apparatus. The method includes: sharing, by a first terminal, specified content with a specified sharing user when a preset sharing condition is met, where the sharing condition is at least one of the following factors: a current time of the first terminal is a preset time; a current time of the first terminal falls within a preset time range; a current geographic location of the first terminal is a preset geographic location; or a current geographic location of the first terminal falls within a preset geographic location range. According to the present invention, a sharing condition such as a time or a geographic location is preset, and content is shared with a specified user according to the sharing condition, thereby simplifying complexity of sharing information in a future time period and improving usability of information sharing.

MESSAGE HISTORY DISPLAY SYSTEM AND METHOD

A technique for message history display includes combining message histories for multiple different messaging services. A system constructed according to the technique may include, for example, a message history database; a history aggregation engine that aggregates message logs for storage in the message history database; and a history provisioning engine that provides an aggregated message log associated with the user from the message history database to a requesting device. A method according to the technique may include, for example, identifying a device in association with a user profile; providing an online platform that receives messages from and sends messages to the device; and creating an aggregated log from messages sent to and from the device.

A message display method includes receiving first input information, extracting key information in the first input information, matching the key information and a user name, determining a target user name, binding the first input information and the target user name, and sending, to a receiver terminal, the first input information and the target user name that are bound, so that the receiver terminal displays a reminder message according to the target user name.

Using sensor data to control message delivery

A method, computer system, and computer program product for using sensor data to control message delivery to a user. The method may include defining one or more criteria which may include a message delivery, sensor, bypass, or rerouting criterion. The message delivery criterion may include a rule for delivering messages. The method may include operations performed by a device communicating with a communications network. The device may have a computer and may receive a message from a user of a plurality of users and data from a sensor. The method may determine whether the sensor data meets the message delivery criterion and suppress a message notification based on the message delivery criterion. In some embodiments, the sensor is an image sensor and the method includes determining that content of an image captured by the image sensor includes an activity corresponding with a message delivery criterion.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR RECOMMENDING MERCHANT DISCUSSION GROUPS
20220006770 · 2022-01-06 ·

Systems and methods are disclosed in which merchants on an e-commerce platform may use a same computer application to start and/or join discussion groups with other merchants on the e-commerce platform. An existing discussion group may be recommended to a merchant based on data specific to that merchant. A notification of the recommendation may be transmitted to the user interface of the merchant's device, and if the merchant accepts the recommendation, then the discussion group may be added to the set of discussion groups the merchant follows. Alternatively, a recommended discussion group may be automatically added to the set of discussion groups the merchant follows.

A server may receive a target e-mail address from a terminal device; store in the memory the target e-mail address and authentication information in association with each other; send a first e-mail including the target e-mail address, as a destination address, and the authentication information; receive the authentication information from the first communication device; specify the target e-mail address associated with the authentication information in the memory; and execute a predetermined process by using the target e-mail address, the predetermined process being a process which is necessary for the server or the first communication device to send a second e-mail including the target e-mail address, as a destination address, and related information related to the first communication device.

Method and system for presenting a subset of messages in a modular inbox

Exemplary embodiments relate to improvements in the design of a messaging inbox. The inbox may display different units or “modules” for providing a user with quick access to different inbox functionalities. After a number of recent or unread messages are shown in the inbox's initial interface, the messages end and are replaced with modules. A threshold may be defined for the number of recent/unread messages to display before transitioning to modules. The threshold may be determined dynamically based on a minimum and/or maximum number of messages to display. The determination may be based on the current time, whether there is an active conversation in a thread, whether there are unread messages in a thread, etc. The determination may vary from user to user based, for example, on whether the user is a relatively active user, and/or how the user has used the messaging application in the past.

Electronic tool and methods for meetings

An electronic meeting tool and method for communicating arbitrary media content from users at a meeting includes a node configuration adapted to operate a display node of a communications network, the display node being coupled to a first display. The node configuration is adapted to receive user selected arbitrary media content and to control display of the user selected arbitrary media content on the first display. A peripheral device adapted to communicate the user selected arbitrary media content via the communications network is a connection unit including a connector adapted to couple to a port of a processing device having a second display, a memory and an operating system, and a transmitter. A program is adapted to obtain user selected arbitrary media content, the program leaving a zero footprint on termination. The user may trigger a transfer of the user selected arbitrary media content to the transmitter.
