Aspects of the present disclosure involve systems, methods, devices, and the like for communicating with a unified messaging center using multi-channel messaging with block-based datastore. In one embodiment, a system is introduced that can provide a unified experience and capability for messaging with one or more entities across platforms. The messaging capability includes the ability to provide user interaction using a single architecture with data store in a centralized form. In one embodiment, the data store include the use of blockchain technology wherein each interaction with the user and across platforms is recorded and stored on a crystographed block.

A system comprising a computer-readable storage medium storing at least one program and a computer-implemented method that enables short message service (SMS) text messaging to be integrated into existing applications is presented. Consistent with some embodiments, the method may include receiving a request from a client application to transmit a message to a recipient device. The method may further include adding the message transmission request to an outbound queue based on determining the message transmission request is valid. In response to successfully validating the request, the method causes transmission of the message to the recipient device.

A computer-implemented system and method for secure electronic message exchange includes receiving an encrypted message between one of an inmate or an outside user. The message is transmitted between the users without decrypting the message at the server to ensure privacy. In various configurations, the message is stored at the server in encrypted form and a notification message is transmitted to a recipient. The recipient may then request retrieval of the message from the server. After being authenticated, the encrypted message is provided to the recipient without being decrypted at the server.

In an embodiment, the system authenticates an inmate by receiving at least one authentication request at a control platform from a wireless multifunction device in response to an inmate-initiated action and provides the inmate access to interactive training materials stored on a training database or an employment subsystem configured to provide an interface for the inmate to perform one or more job-specific tasks upon authenticating the inmate. Access to each of the databases or subsystem is provided to the inmate based on a profile corresponding to the inmate and the tasks are completed using a wireless multifunction device.
