Communication device with selectively shared access modes and incoming communication
A communication device includes a memory to store a contact list, a communication, and tagged contacts and tagged communication form of the tagged contacts; a processor to receive an incoming communication transmitted to the communication device determine identification information from the incoming communication; and determine if the incoming communication meets a criterion for a third party user of the communication device to view the incoming communication. To determine if the incoming communication meets the criterion, the processor compares the determined identification information from the incoming communication to the tagged communication form of the tagged contacts. If the incoming communication meets the criterion, then the processor displays the incoming communication, and if the incoming communication does not meet the criterion, then the processor does not display the incoming communication.
Intelligent messaging system based multiple account selection for electronic message communications
An intelligent messaging server (herein messaging server) that is communicably coupled to trusted directory nodes receives an electronic request from a first computing device. The electronic request includes at least a unique identifier of a second user (herein second user identifier). Using the second user identifier, the messaging server determines that the second user has multiple accounts. Responsively, the messaging server generates and transmits an electronic selection message to the second user. The electronic selection message includes a link to a secure web page that lists the multiple accounts and prompts the second user to select one of the multiple accounts. Responsive to receiving the second user's selection, the messaging server generates an electronic record that includes at least an account identifier of the account selected by the second user, providing enhanced security to the second user's data via the trusted directory nodes.
Title provisioning for event notification on a mobile device
A technique for user notification involves receiving an event notification related to an event associated with user notification by a user; providing the event notification from a stored array to a process executed by a processor; using the event notification as a first title used for the process; providing a second title from the stored array to the process; and using the second title to identify the process to the user.
Dual fallback hardened VoIP system with signal quality measurement
A hardened VoIP system is presented that includes secure push-to-talk voice functionality. Through the addition of encryption, authentication, user filtering, and integration with new and existing LMR systems, a secure voice platform ensures malicious software, unauthorized access and brute force security attacks will not compromise the voice communications of the system. The VoIP system is engineered to ensure graceful system degradation in the event of maintenance activities, natural disasters and failure modes. The hardened VoIP system offers the functions a LMR trunking system while utilizing broadband connections. Private calls, group calls, Emergency Alarms with covert monitoring capability, scanning and priority scanning may be incorporated into the system. The system includes a VoIP controller that serves as a trunking controller, manages available VoIP based conference bridges, and assigns them as needed to the parties involved in each voice call. The system includes multiple fallback methods that may be prioritized based on pre-failure analytics.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR VERIFYING DELIVERY AND INTEGRITY OF ELECTRONIC MESSAGES
The invention provides a system and method for determining when a message is received by a recipient or an agent for the recipient. A link is activated at the recipient to provide an indication that the message has been opened by the recipient. The activation of the link may cause a server remote from the recipient to take some further action.
Enhancing security of communications during execution of protocol flows
A message interface system is provided that allows for local nodes to communicate with remote nodes securely. The message interface system provides a secure zone system that includes a reverse proxy server and a proxy server that interface with an internal firewall and an external firewall. The message interface system also includes a bridge system that is behind the internal firewall and that directs the secure zone system to establish connections with remote nodes, sends outbound messages of the local node to the proxy server for sending to the remote nodes, and receives inbound messages from the reverse proxy server sent from the remote nodes. The secure zone system helps ensure that the effects of a cyberattack are limited to the secure zone system without compromising business data of the local node.
VIDEO COMMUNICATION SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR USING SAME
The present invention provides a video communication system including a kiosk for recording video messages created by a user and a database for storing and providing access to the video messages. The kiosk includes a user interface for receiving user information such as name, address, email, and other identifying information. The kiosk further includes a message-recording device for recording a user video message. The video message and user message data are uploaded to a database. The database reconnects with the user through the user information to allow the user to access the video message. In an embodiment, the database sends an email web link to the user. The user may view the video message by opening the email web link and viewing the video message on an internet website.
Fitness activity related messaging
In one embodiment, a method for generating a message to a friend of a user is provided, comprising: processing activity data of a first user measured by an activity monitoring device to update a value of an activity metric for the first user; identifying a change in an inequality relationship between the value of the activity metric for the first user and a value of the activity metric for a second user; in response to identifying the change in the inequality relationship, prompting the first user to generate a message to the second user.
Provisional modes for multi-mode network devices
Techniques for implementing a provisional mode in a multi-mode network device (i.e., a network device that supports at least first and second modes of operation) are provided. According to one embodiment, the network device can receive, while running in the first mode, a request to enter the second mode. In response to the request, the network device can enter a third mode that is a provisional version of the second mode. Then, while running in the third mode, the network device can accept one or more configuration commands or settings for the second mode while simultaneously processing live network traffic according to the first mode.
MULTI-USER MULTI-GPU RENDER SERVER APPARATUS AND METHODS
The invention provides, in some aspects, a system for rendering images, the system having one or more client digital data processors and a server digital data processor in communications coupling with the one or more client digital data processors, the server digital data processor having one or more graphics processing units. The system additionally comprises a render server module executing on the server digital data processor and in communications coupling with the graphics processing units, where the render server module issues a command in response to a request from a first client digital data processor. The graphics processing units on the server digital data processor simultaneously process image data in response to interleaved commands from (i) the render server module on behalf of the first client digital data processor, and (ii) one or more requests from (a) the render server module on behalf of any of the other client digital data processors, and (b) other functionality on the server digital data processor.
