Increased communication security
A method of increasing communication security may include receiving, from a first computer system at a second computer system, a Constrained Application Protocol (CoAP) message, wherein the CoAP message may include authentication data. Message validation may be performed based on the authentication data, wherein the performing message validation may include determining that the CoAP message is invalid if at least one condition is not met. The method may also include performing, if the CoAP message is valid, at least one operation associated with the CoAP message.
Participation thresholding for extending communication security functionality
Systems and methods can support change management thresholds within human machine interfaces. An operation or feature may be introduced into a multi-user information system where a benefit is conveyed to specific benefited instances of events. A user indication associated with the specific benefited instances may be initially disabled. A quantity of the specific benefited instances may be calculated or counted. The calculated quantity may be compared to a threshold quantity. The user indication associated with the specific benefited instances may be enabled in response to the comparison indicating that the threshold has been exceeded. The user indication may be presented via a user interface mechanism associated with the multi-user information system. According to certain examples, sender authentication may be added to an email system such that instances of authentication are not displayed until a certain number or percentage of messages is being authenticated.
Collaborative workflow through messaging conversations
A networked application and email application were described herein that provide for an intuitive system by which users can participate in collaborative workflow relating to a network document. In one implementation, a system includes a messaging server component to provide messaging services and an application server component to provide a networked application. The application server component interacts with the messaging server component in response to a user command to initiate collaboration on the network document. The interaction with the messaging server component includes providing a link that refers to a version of the network document as created or edited by the user.
Increased communication security
An apparatus may include a communication interface configured to receive a first message including a first data portion and a second data portion, wherein the first data portion is associated with a security token, wherein the first data portion includes a first instance of a session key, and wherein the second data portion includes a second instance of the session key. The apparatus may also include a security component configured to perform message validation associated with the first message. The apparatus may further include a message generation component configured to generate, if the first message is valid, a second message including the first data portion. The communication interface may be configured to communicate, if the first message is valid, the second message.
Video communication system and method for using same
The present invention provides a video communication system including a kiosk for recording video messages created by a user and a database for storing and providing access to the video messages. The kiosk includes a user interface for receiving user information such as name, address, email, and other identifying information. The kiosk further includes a message-recording device for recording a user video message. The video message and user message data are uploaded to a database. The database reconnects with the user through the user information to allow the user to access the video message. In an embodiment, the database sends an email web link to the user. The user may view the video message by opening the email web link and viewing the video message on an internet website.
Analysis of content sharing in a messaging platform
A system and method for message analysis, including: receiving, from a client device, a reporting request identifying a first broadcasted message authored by a context account of a messaging platform; identifying, by a computer processor, engagement data corresponding to engagement with the first broadcasted message by a set of engaging accounts of the messaging platform that engaged with the first broadcasted message; generating, using the engagement data and by the computer processor, propagation data representing propagation of the first broadcasted message in a connection graph of the messaging platform; and providing the propagation data for the client device in response to the reporting request, where the client device is operable to display a visual representation of the propagation data.
Viral Engine for Network Deployment
A private network system operates over a public network to provide an asymmetric service to members with information from other members and non-members. The system includes central servers and databases connected via the public network to client systems of public network users. The users may be members who communicate with a private protocol or non-members who communicate with the public protocol. A process for the private service includes communication of information between users via the private service servers. The private service server implements the private service, which includes a viral engine for network deployment. Features of the viral engine include genetic algorithms, data mining, personalization, frictionless service setup, user maximization, and member-controlled privacy. A sample setup process and contact update wizard that include several viral engine features are described.
Method, Apparatus and Product for Delivery of Electronic Messages to Electronically Un-Addressable Entities
A system and method for enabling delivering to a receiver of a message addressed to a non-electronically addressable entity ID associated with the receiver employs a database storing a plurality of verified electronically addressable and non-electronically entity IDs associated with the receiver, and a controller that upon receiving a message addressed to non-electronically addressable entity ID identifies the receiver and enables the receiver access to the message.
Authenticating and confidence marking e-mail messages
Methods and systems for authenticating and confidence marking e-mail messages are described. One embodiment describes a method of authenticating an e-mail message. This method involves extracting a plurality of e-mail headers associated with the e-mail message, and identifying a sending edge mail transfer agent (MTA). The method then calls for determining if the sending edge MTA is authorized to send the e-mail message.
