An address management method, system, and device to avoid a problem that a same Internet Protocol (IP) address is assigned to different packet data unit (PDU) sessions and to effectively use IP addresses in an address pool. The method includes: obtaining, by a session management network element, an identifier of a user plane function network element serving a terminal and session information of the terminal; determining, by the session management network element based on the identifier of the user plane function network element and the session information, an address pool identifier corresponding to the session; sending, by the session management network element, the address pool identifier to a server, where the address pool identifier is used to assign an IP address to the session; and receiving, by the session management network element from the server, the IP address corresponding to the session.

System and method for supporting multiple identities for a secure identity device

A multiple-identity secure device (MISD) persistently may store an identification code. The identification code may be stored in an integral memory of the device, or on an interchangeable card received in a physical interface of the MISD. The MISD may generate one or more unique identities (e.g., network addresses) from the stored identification code. The generated identities may be dynamically generated or may be securely stored in the MISD for subsequent retrieval. The generated identities may generates in accordance with an addressing scheme, a global/network setting, or as determined from a received data transmission.

Technologies for assigning workloads to balance multiple resource allocation objectives

Technologies for allocating resources of managed nodes to workloads to balance multiple resource allocation objectives include an orchestrator server to receive resource allocation objective data indicative of multiple resource allocation objectives to be satisfied. The orchestrator server is additionally to determine an initial assignment of a set of workloads among the managed nodes and receive telemetry data from the managed nodes. The orchestrator server is further to determine, as a function of the telemetry data and the resource allocation objective data, an adjustment to the assignment of the workloads to increase an achievement of at least one of the resource allocation objectives without decreasing an achievement of another of the resource allocation objectives, and apply the adjustments to the assignments of the workloads among the managed nodes as the workloads are performed. Other embodiments are also described and claimed.

Generating content based on a captured IP address associated with a visit to an electronic resource

Methods and apparatus related to determining and/or utilizing one or more attributes for an Internet Protocol (IP) address. In some of those implementations, the attributes may include a physical address associated with the IP address. Some implementations are directed to determining physical addresses for inclusion in a postal campaign based on computing devices having IP addresses associated with those physical addresses having retrieved content of one or more electronic resources (e.g., webpages) assigned to the campaign.

Method and apparatus for multicast in communication system

The present disclosure relates to a pre-5th-Generation (5G) or 5G communication system to be provided for supporting higher data rates Beyond 4th-Generation (4G) communication system such as Long Term Evolution (LTE). The present disclosure is to provide a multicast service in a wireless communication system and comprises the steps of: receiving a multicast group participation message transmitted from a terminal via a communication session from a terminal to a first network entity; generating a multicast tunnel generation request message on the basis of the multicast group participation message, and transmitting the same to the first network entity; and generating a multicast service request message on the basis of the multicast group participation message, and transmitting the same to a second network entity. The present research is research that has been conducted with the support of the “Cross-Departmental Giga KOREA Project” funded by the government (the Ministry of Science and ICT) in 2017 (No. GK17N0100, millimeter wave 5G mobile communication system development).

Message protection method and apparatus

A message protection method and an apparatus are disclosed. The method includes: When a terminal prepares to hand over from a first-standard system to a second-standard system, the terminal may not have a security context of the second-standard system after handover. Therefore, in the method of the present disclosure, the terminal performs integrity protection on a registration request message and a location update request message by using an integrity key in a security context of the first-standard system before handover. Both the registration request message and the location update request message are messages for triggering handover. Therefore, in the method, security protection is implemented on the message for triggering handover, thereby helping improve communication security.

DIRECTING METHOD AND SYSTEM

Embodiments of the present application describe techniques of facilitating directing operations. The techniques comprise obtaining guest information of a target studio, where the guest information includes a room identification number of a guest room, the guest room associated with producing content scenes; generating a directing configuration file based on the guest information of the target studio; and sending the directing configuration file to a director terminal associated with content directing, so that the director terminal performs a directing operation based on the directing configuration file.

Communication apparatus, methods, and non-transitory computer-readable media for determining IP addresses for use in different networks
11595344 · 2023-02-28 · ·

A communication apparatus includes a processor and a memory. The processor executes computer-readable instructions stored in the memory. The instructions instruct the communication apparatus to establish a first network including the communication apparatus and a first device. The instructions instruct the communication apparatus to establish a second network including the communication apparatus and a second device. The instructions instruct the communication apparatus to determine a target IP address. Determining the target IP address includes identifying a particular IP address, which is an IP address of the communication apparatus used in the second type network. Determining the target IP address includes generating the target IP address to be within a particular range using the particular IP address. The particular range is a range of IP addresses that are not available in the second type network. The instructions instruct the communication apparatus to assign the target IP address to the first device.
