An apparatus includes a processor and a storage storing instructions causing the processor to: receive a request for data concerning a target node and neighboring nodes; multiply an identifier of the target node with an index multiplier to determine a location of an index entry of the target node within an index data; access the index entry to retrieve an identifier of a window and an indication of a location within the window at which a node entry of the target node may be accessed, and to retrieve an indication of data size of the node entry; access the node entry within the identified window to retrieve an amount of the node entry up to the data size to retrieve at least one identifier of at least one neighboring node within a single degree of separation of the target node; and output the at least one identifier.

PERSONAL MONITORING USING A REMOTE TIMER

Method and apparatus for monitoring the status and location of personnel using a remote timer. In some embodiments, a method includes logging in, through a network accessible device, a geo position of a subject to initiate a monitored session associated with the subject. A countdown timer of a remote server is initiated to denote a monitored time interval, the remote server in communication with the network accessible device over a network. A notification is generated and transmitted across the network to a monitoring device responsive to a conclusion of the monitored time interval.

Tunnel Between Interior Border Gateway Protocol Neighbors

A tunnel between interior border gateway protocol neighbor includes: receiving an announcement from an Interior Border Gateway Protocol (IBGP) neighbor, wherein the announcement from the IBGP neighbor includes an address used by the IBGP neighbor in creating the neighborhood with the border device; setting up a tunnel with an address used by the border device in creating the neighborhood with the IBGP neighbor being a local address, and the address used by the IBGP neighbor in creating the neighborhood with the border device being a remote address; and determining the IBGP neighbor as the next hop of a BGP route issued by the IBGP neighbor and a local interface of the tunnel as the outgoing interface of the BGP route.

Cybersecurity system for common interface of service-based architecture of a wireless telecommunications network
11431746 · 2022-08-30 · ·

A method performed by a cybersecurity system includes monitoring multiple network functions (NFs) of a service-based architecture (SBA) of a 5G network. The NFs are communicatively interconnected over an HTTP/2 interface. The cybersecurity system detects potentially malicious network traffic communicated over the HTTP/2 interface, identifies a NFs or associated services that are susceptible to a cyberattack based on the potentially malicious network traffic and deploys resources to secure the NFs or associated services. In one example, the resources are prioritized for a most frequently used (MFU) or most recently used (MRU) NF or associated service.

Telecommunication system for automatically locating by network connection and selectively delivering calls to mobile client devices

A communication system for an organization having multiple sites uses a dual-mode device capable of both cell phone communication and telephone communication on a local area network (LAN). IP LANS are established at organization sites such that a temporary IP address is assigned to a dual-mode device that logs onto an organization LAN, and the IP address is associated at a PSTN-connected server on the LAN with the cell phone number of the communication device. The IP server notifies a PSTN-connected routing server when a device logs on to a LAN, and also provides a destination number for the IP server. Cell calls directed to the device are then redirected to the IP server and directed to the device connected to the LAN.

System and method for permitting use of content using transfer rights

Apparatus, method, and media for permitting use of content. An exemplary method comprises associating a transfer right with content, the transfer right specifying that the content is permitted to be transferred from a first computing device to a second computing device, transferring the content from the first computing device to the second computing device in accordance with the transfer right, updating information associated with the transfer right based on the transfer of the content from the first computing device to the second computing device, and associating a usage right with the content, the usage right corresponding to a utilization of the content, wherein the first computing device includes at least a server mode of operation, and wherein the second computing device includes both a requester mode of operation and a server mode of operation.

Unified geograhic database and methods of creating, maintaining and using the same

A Universal Geographic Database (“UGD”) is provided that includes a real-time, automated registry/clearinghouse for the publication and retrieval of real-world locations and location-related information for businesses and other entities. By this registry, entities may publish their location and location-related information in a single place, and information services and their users can refer to this single place, via telecommunications devices, to obtain static, real-time location and location-based information about the registered locations. Each UGD record is keyed by a proprietary location address (PLA) based on the World Geographic Referencing System (WGRS). PLAs may be used as key reference and addressing terms, e.g., imbedded in digital documents, websites, GPS devices, or other information services to provide links to maps, directions, and information in the registry related to such locations. PLAs may also provide a concise, user-friendly notation for location naming and designating real-world locations and on all types of location-sensitive electronic devices.

System and data card for stateless automatic configuration of IPv6 address and method for implementing the same
09729501 · 2017-08-08 · ·

Disclosed are a system and data card for stateless automatic configuration of an IPv6 address and the method for implementing the same, and the method includes: an IPv6 address configuration way of a data card is set and stored according to an IPv6 address allocation strategy of a current network, after successful establishment of an IPv6 dialup connection and reception of a router advertisement request message transmitted by a terminal for acquiring a prefix address, the data card determines the set IPv6 address allocation way, and when the set IPv6 address allocation way is a static configuration way, a router advertisement response message is discarded and a valid IPv6 global unicast address is reported to the terminal. By means of the system, data card and method, it is possible to solve a problem that data transmission can not be normally performed by an existing data card implementing dialup in an Ethernet link way when interface identifiers are allocated by a network.
