FAR INFRARED RADIATION DEVICE
A portable far infrared (FIR) radiation device containing a conductive heat producing and FIR radiation generating layer containing germanium, conductive carbon powder, a polyurethane resin, a coagulating agent, and a diluent is disclosed. Materials used for making the FIR radiation device are also disclosed.
Methods and apparatuses for supporting practitioners of foot-based massage techniques
A method of administering a massage that comprises providing a foldable massage table having a first half and a second half and assembling the foldable massage table. The first half of the foldable massage table is locked to the second half of the foldable massage table in an assembled position. At least two portions of a flexible member are secured to opposite sides of the foldable massage table. The massage practitioner stands on the foldable massage table and utilizes the flexible member to assist with delivery of force to a patient lying on the foldable massage table. A foot of the massage practitioner is used to massage the patient.
Shoulder hold down and locking mechanism therefor for use with a surgical frame
A shoulder hold-down is provided for use in securing at least a shoulder of a patient in position relative to a surgical frame. The shoulder hold-down includes a locking mechanism that is adjustable to afford positioning of a shoulder engaging portion for contacting the patient.
ADJUSTABLE RESTRAINT STRAP FOR A LIMB REST
A limb support comprises a spar, a limb rest, and a coupler. The spar is configured to be supported from a patient support apparatus and adjustable relative to the patient support and has a longitudinal axis. The coupler includes a release that is selectively actuable to release locking mechanisms to permit adjustment of the limb rest relative to the spar.
BENCH ASSEMBLY FOR STRETCHING THE QUADRICEPS FEMORIS AND/OR HIP FLEXORS MUSCLES
A bench assembly that stretches and develops the quadriceps femoris and/or hip flexors muscle groups of a client with the help of a therapist or trainer. The bench assembly has a basal subassembly with a front member that faces the therapist. Extending rearwardly from the front member is a first side member. A rear member extends laterally from the first side member. Each of the front and rear members have an upwardly oriented column that extends from a bottom rail of the associated member. The columns underlie a client support pad on which the client may lie recumbent and face upwardly with his/her legs positioned towards the front member before a trainer applies a stretching regimen to the legs and/or hips.
Medical examination table with retractable moving wheels
A medical examination table includes a base assembly, a table assembly, a table actuation assembly, a wheel assembly, and an actuating mobility assembly. The base assembly configured to support the medical examination table in a first mobility configuration. The table actuation assembly is configured to raise and lower the table assembly relative to the base member to thereby transition the table assembly between a lowered position and a raised position. The wheel assembly is configured to support the medical examination table in a second mobility configuration. The actuating mobility assembly is configured to cooperate with the table actuation assembly to thereby actuate the wheel assembly relative to the base assembly to thereby transition the medical examination table between the first mobility configuration to the second mobility configuration.
THORACIC MOBILITY SYSTEM, ADJUSTABLE THORACIC BENCH SYSTEM, AND METHOD OF USE
A thoracic mobility system, an adjustable thoracic bench system, and methods of use are presented. The present disclosure provides the state of the art with an adjustable thoracic mobility, extension and alignment bench with adjustable footrests for lumbar support. The systems increase mobility and alignment of the thoracic spine region while preventing excessive lordosis of the lumbar spine. The present disclosure provides a comfortable support with integrated thoracic mobility components designed for comfort and support to aid in mobility and alignment in a healthy and effective manner. The present disclosure provides these features and functionality while also providing a safe to use device, which increases spinal mobility, can be used to stretch, can be used to strengthen, and reduce stress of musculoskeletal structures, and the like.
Lateral Access Alignment Guide And Rigid Arm
In one embodiment, a surgical rigid arm (100, 150, 200, 900) includes a first portion (102, 152, 202, 902), a second portion (103, 153, 203, 903) and a central portion (105, 154, 205, 906), where the central portion is extends between the first and second portions. A first end of the first portion and a second end of the second portion are each attached to a peripheral side (14) of a surgical bed (10, 30) such that the first portion and the second portion extend from the surgical bed in a first direction. The central portion extends substantially horizontally and is positioned over the surgical bed, the central portion being connected to the surgical instrument such that a load from the surgical instrument is distributed across the central portion to the first portion and second portion to provide rigid support for the surgical instrument.
LIMB POSITIONING DISPOSABLES WITH INFLATABLE BLADDERS
An orthopedic limb interface device is disclosed for positioning and retaining a lower portion of the arm of the human body during orthopedic operatory procedures. The device includes a handplate coupled to a sleeve. The sleeve surrounds and grips the arm and is lined with an inflatable bladder. The bladder includes a plurality of inflatable zones, at least one zone having inflation limiting means such that the inflated bladder has a variable inflation profile therealong. The variable inflation profile is configured to increase retention at target areas of the limb, while softly retaining other areas of the limb to avoid limb numbness. Areas of increased retention may engage portions of the arm to improve the grip on the arm for reliable limb distraction.
Femoral lift device
A femoral lift apparatus for an operating table having a side rail, the apparatus engageable with the femur of a patient. The apparatus includes a lift mountable to the side rail. An extension arm is receivable on the lift, the extension arm extending transversely from the lift when the extension arm is received on the lift. A plurality of apertures can be defined along the extension arm, and a femoral hook can be receivable in one of the apertures in the extension arm, the femoral hook having a hook end shaped to be received under and contour the femur of the patient positioned on the operating table when the lift is mounted to the side rail of the table, the extension arm is received on the lift, and the femoral hook is received in one of the apertures of the extension arm.
