Patient positioning system
Described herein are exemplary embodiments of patient positioning systems for supporting and positioning a patient in an inclined position during medical treatment, such as in the Reverse Trendelenburg position. Some embodiments comprise a flexible, air-impermeable shell having a torso portion configured to support the patient's torso and secure the positioner to the support surface, an intermediate portion integrally coupled to an inferior end of the torso portion, and a suprapubic portion integrally coupled to an inferior end of the intermediate portion opposite the torso portion and configured to extend along the patient's perineal-pubic region when the shell is evacuated of air. When evacuated of air, the positioner is configured to hold the patient in an inclined position on an inclined support surface with the patient's head above the patient's hips such that the intermediate and/or suprapubic portions physically block the patient from sliding feet-first down the inclined support surface.
Hip continuous passive motion device and related methods
A system for providing continuous passive motion of a subject's leg through hip extension and flexion. The system may have an actuator, a leg support member, a retention surface, and a base. The leg support member may be a support frame with a proximal member and a distal member. The subject places his/her leg on the leg support and the actuator provides a moment of force to the subject's upper leg to move the upper leg through the desired range of motion. The system may be controlled allowing the device to operate at different speeds and for different ranges of motion.
PORTABLE BODY SUPPORT COMPRISING MASK AND SADDLE
The present invention relates to a portable body support and, more particularly, a body support providing functions of preventing the body from sliding down from an inclined support and also completely relieving load on the neck supporting the head at a face support part of the body support when the body support, such as a folding table or a portable temporary bed, is obliquely set up on the floor and used in a prone position so as to be useable for activities such as reading, thereby ensuring an effect of providing a technical configuration for not generating neck pain at all. As to the technical configuration, provided is the portable body support for coupling a face support mask and a pelvis support saddle to each other by using hinges, bolts and the like and constructing the coupled mask and saddle. When reading for a long time in a prone state by using the portable body support, comprising the mask and the saddle, of the present invention, neck pain, whole body fatigue, and the like are not generated at all, and an advantage of maintaining, for a long time, mental strength and posture to concentrate conveniently on reading in a prone state is guaranteed.
Lift chair control device
A lift chair comprising: a lift that transitions the lift chair between a resting position and a standing position; a user interface that receives one or more user inputs indicating a request to transition the lift chair between the resting position and the standing position; a controller circuit communicatively coupled to the lift and to the user interface, the controller circuit configured to cause the lift to transition the lift chair from the resting position to the standing position, in response to a single user input, at a first speed over a first time period followed by a second speed over a second time period, the first speed being slower than the second speed.
Modular head restraint structure and styling enablement features
A headrest assembly for a vehicle seat includes a front panel with a base portion and a support portion. A rear panel includes a base portion and a support portion. A support member includes first and second legs that are interconnected by an upper cross member. First and second support wings are coupled to the first and second legs of the support member and outwardly extend therefrom. The base portion of the front panel couples to a front side of the first and second support wings. The base portion of the rear panel couples to a rear side of the first and second support wings. The support wings are overmolded to the support member along with one or more attachment features to interconnect the front and rear panels to one another around the support member.
Water birthing apparatus
Water birthing apparatus for use in a bath sized to accommodate an adult woman in childbirth, the bath having a base wall and one or more side walls extending upwardly from the base wall to an upper edge to define an open top, including: a false floor sized to cover at least some of the base wall of the bath and including drainage means for draining water from above the false floor to below the false floor; and lifting means associated with the false floor and operable for moving the false floor between a lower position at which the false floor is adjacent or resting on the base wall and an elevated position spaced at which the false floor is spaced above the base wall, and wherein the lifting means includes a plurality of lifting arms connected to the false floor and extending from a movable carriage assembly mounted to a carriage track, the carriage assembly being movable up and down the carriage track.
Seating furniture chassis having a height-adjustment seat surface
A seating furniture chassis having a height-adjustable seat surface, a drive means, a shaft, a height-adjustment mechanism and a threaded rod, wherein the drive means is coupled to the shaft and is designed to transmit a torque to the threaded rod by means of the shaft, and wherein the height-adjustment mechanism is coupled to the threaded rod and to the seat surface such that a rotation of the threaded rod is converted into a height adjustment of the seat surface by means of the height-adjustment mechanism, characterized in that a longitudinal axis of the shaft is not arranged parallel to a longitudinal axis of the threaded rod.
ROBOT SYSTEM FOR ORAL CAVITY AND TOOTH TREATMENT
A robot system for oral cavity and tooth treatment. The system includes a console, a seat device, a robot and a navigation device. The console includes a display device, an operating device and an emergency stop device. The seat device includes a body support portion, an orientation adjustment portion and a head fixing portion. The robot comprises a main controller, a robotic arm, a manipulator. The navigation device performs navigation inside a tooth in a root canal treatment operation according to pre-stored tooth information. The treatment instrument in the manipulator can be replaceable. The seat device can be adjusted such that a patient can face any direction between forward and downward, or lie prostrate.
