Widget control of an electronic device
An electronic device comprises an executing module, a display module, and a display controller. The display controller makes the display module display a first display screen containing information about execution of a certain function during execution. The executing module starts execution of a widget for making the display module display information included in the first display screen while the certain function is executed and thereafter when execution of the certain function is finished, the executing module finishes execution of the widget When the display controller makes the display module display a display screen different from the first display screen while the widget is executed, the display controller incorporates widget execution information into a partial region of the different display screen based on execution of the widget. The widget execution information includes at least part of the information on the first display screen.
Method for setting up peripheral devices docking session for better user experience
The present invention relates generally to wireless networking, and more particularly to methods and apparatuses for providing flexible WiFi docking with minimal overhead. According to certain aspects, embodiments of the invention include methods and apparatuses that allow a WD to select peripherals in a configuration that is useful for the WD from a Topology point of view. According to certain other aspects, embodiments of the invention include methods and apparatuses that allow peripherals to be used as part of the Docking Session, but does not require using all the peripherals all the time. According to certain additional aspects, embodiments of the invention include methods and apparatuses that allow for dynamically switching the use of peripherals with minimal overhead. According to still further additional aspects, embodiments of the invention include methods and apparatuses for signaling user authentication functionality for certain peripherals to be used in a docking session.
Wireless headset system with two different radio protocols
A headset system comprising a headset and a base station. Each of said headset and base station comprises a transceiver configured to transmit radio signals between said headset and said base station according to a first wireless communication protocol, and each of said headset and base station further comprises a transceiver configured to transmit radio signals between said headset and said base station according to a second wireless communication protocol. At least one of said headset and said base station further comprises selecting means, such as a protocol selector configured to select one of said first and second wireless communication protocols for transmission of radio signals between said headset and said base station. The protocol selector is adapted to select the first wireless communication protocol for transmission of voice communication and the second wireless communication protocol for transmission of media content.
Mobile device finger holder case
A mobile device case which enables a secure use of a mobile device using one hand. An aspect of an embodiment of the invention includes a multi-finger holder which is traversable across the rear of the case. The holder ensures a more secure grip by a user by way of finger holders which fit the user's fingers.
Automatic configuration of power settings
Embodiments relate to a computer system and computer program product for allocating resources and settings in order to optimize application satisfaction in view of hardware resources and adjustable software configurations. As applications are executed on a computing device, usage data is tracked, adjustable settings are identified, and power consumption of each application under different settings is measured. The usage data is then compiled, an optimal configuration setting is assessed for each application, and the setting is conveyed and applied to one or more applications.
Sleeve with electronic extensions for a cell phone
A passively re-radiating cell phone sleeve assembly capable of receiving a nested cell phone provides signal boosting capabilities. Signal boosting is enabled by use of an additional antenna, a pass-through repeater, dual antenna isolation capability and other features.
Configure smartphone based on user sleep status
Various systems and methods for configuring a smartphone based on a user's sleep status are described herein. A compute device includes a determination module to determine a physiological state of a person and a configuration module to configure a quiet mode of the compute device based on the physiological state of the person.
Non-contact communication apparatus and system using the same
An apparatus including a board, an inductor that is provided on the board, a guard ring that includes a first guard ring part provided to be adjacent to a circumference of the inductor and a second guard ring part provided to be adjacent to an outer side of the first guard ring part, in which one end of the second guard ring part is connected to one end of the first guard ring part, and a first power supply that is connected to another end of the first guard ring part and another end of the second guard ring part.
Mobile device with backside capacitive sensor for thermal management of an exterior housing
A mobile device includes an exterior housing, a display, a capacitive sensor, a temperature sensor, and a controller. The capacitive sensor is coupled to the exterior housing at a backside of the mobile device and the temperature sensor is coupled to one or more components of the mobile device. The controller is coupled to the capacitive sensor and to the temperature sensor. The controller is configured to adjust a temperature threshold of the mobile device in response to detecting the presence of a case installed on the exterior housing. The controller is also configured to adjust one or more operating parameters of the mobile device to control a temperature of the exterior housing to below the temperature threshold based on the output of the capacitive sensor and one or more readings of the temperature sensor.
INFORMATION COMMUNICATION TERMINAL, PERIPHERAL DEVICE COOPERATION METHOD, AND PROGRAM
An information communication terminal includes; a reception unit configured to receive setting values of notification setting for plural connected peripheral devices; a peripheral device setting storage unit configured to store the received setting values of notification setting for the plural peripheral devices; a service application setting storage unit configured to store setting values of notification setting from a service application to the plural connected peripheral devices by using the setting values stored in the peripheral device setting storage unit as initial values; a control unit configured to assign a setting value of notification setting to transmission data on the basis of a setting value stored in the service application setting storage unit when the transmission data are received from the service application; and a transmission unit configured to transmit the transmission data to which the setting value of notification setting is assigned to at least one peripheral device.
