Mobile terminal

A mobile terminal including a wireless communication unit configured to provide wireless communication; a touch screen having a front surface and curved surface extending from the front surface of the touch screen; and a controller configured to display an indicator informing an incoming call on the touch screen in response to receiving the incoming call, connect a call related to the incoming call, in response to an input for connecting the call related to the incoming call during displaying of the indicator informing the incoming call on the touch screen, display a first notification icon informing a missed call related to the incoming call at a first preset location on the curved surface of the touch screen if the input for connecting the call related to the incoming is not received, wherein the first notification icon is displayed after the indicator disappears from the touch screen, and display a first image including information related to the missed call on the touch screen in response to a first touch and drag from the first notification icon on the curved surface of the touch screen to the front surface of the touch screen. Further, the information related to the missed call includes at least one of a phone number or a name of a counterpart.

Facilitating wireless communication in conjunction with orientation position

Disclosed herein are example embodiments for facilitating wireless communication in conjunction with orientation position. For certain example embodiments, at least one device, such as a portable wireless node: (i) may obtain one or more antenna assembly configuration parameters that are associated with at least one orientation position of at least one portable wireless node; or (ii) may utilize one or more antenna assembly configuration parameters that are associated with at least one orientation position of at least one portable wireless node. However, claimed subject matter is not limited to any particular described embodiments, implementations, examples, or so forth.

Integrated circuit with antenna arrays and methods for use therewith

Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, an integrated circuit that includes at least one die having transceiver circuitry that generates outbound signals that convey outbound data and that receives inbound signals that convey inbound data. A first array of antenna elements arranged along the top portion of the IC package operate in conjunction with the transceiver circuitry to transmit at least a first portion of the outbound signals as first wireless transmissions and/or generate at least a first portion of the inbound signals from first wireless receptions. A second array of antenna elements arranged along the bottom portion of the IC package operate in conjunction with the transceiver circuitry to transmit at least a second portion of the outbound signals as second wireless transmissions and/or to generate at least a second portion of the inbound signals from second wireless receptions. Other embodiments are disclosed.

Electronic device and method for signal transmission and reception

An electronic device, a gateway device, and signal transmission and reception methods thereof are provided. The electronic device includes a communication unit and a control unit. The communication unit is configured to transmit and to receive a signal to and from another communication entity. The control unit is configured to determine whether to activate a wireless local area network (WLAN), and to transmit information about activation or deactivation of the WLAN to a packet data network so as to maintain a created channel and authentication for data transmission and reception.

Telephone session initiation system

A method is presented that allows for coordination between parties wanting to communicate. The method serves to replace the current ‘synchronous’ method of phone session initiation (which allows random people to interrupt one's flow) with a system that allows both parties to indicate when they are ready and willing to communicate with particular parties. Instead of a first party directly calling a second party, both indicate readiness to talk to each other by means of (for instance) status indicators on a smartphone, thereby eliminating the obtrusive nature of the time-limited phone ring. The method also includes an apparatus that determines which is the optimal party to actually place the call such that overall expenses may be minimized.

Apparatus to assist a user with holding a mobile device
09793941 · 2017-10-17 ·

An apparatus that facilitates one-handed use of a mobile device has a finger brace coupled a plurality of flexible lengths. At least one of the flexible lengths is coupled to an intermediate point of the finger brace. Each of the flexible lengths is coupled to the mobile device at its rear-facing back. At least two of the flexible lengths are coupled at opposed ends of the rear-facing back. The length of the flexible lengths and where they are coupled to the brace and mobile device are such that two fingers of the user's hand can press against the finger brace on opposed sides of the intermediate point to brace the mobile device when the two fingers are between the finger brace and the mobile device.

Implementing a live distributed antenna system (DAS) configuration from a virtual DAS design using an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) specific software system in a DAS

Implementing a live distributed antenna system (DAS) configuration from a virtual DAS design using an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) specific software system in a real DAS is disclosed herein. In exemplary aspects disclosed herein, the OEM specific software system enables a designer to create, save, import, modify and/or preconfigure a virtual DAS in a virtual DAS configuration file(s) using OEM specific software tools resident in the real DAS. The OEM specific software tools could include functionality such as the ability to incorporate and enforce OEM design constraints of the real DAS. The configuration file(s) can then be subsequently implemented to modify and/or configure live equipment of a real DAS. The OEM specific software tools and local execution of the virtual DAS facilitates, improves, and optimizes DAS design and execution, and ensures that the real DAS substantially matches the DAS design.
