SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CARBON MANAGEMENT LIFECYCLE MANAGEMENT AND APPLICATION PROGRAMMING INTERFACE
Described is a system and method for trusted gathering, accounting, recording, offering, tracking and displaying of embodied CO2e or greenhouse gas (GHG) for the life cycle of a product or service, over the cradle to gate life cycle of the product or service. The system provides an interface and architecture for adding environmental attributes such as carbon credits, offsets, removals and other mitigation instruments for embodied CO2e or GHG. The system is configured to encode carbon objects that can be employed to track and adjust the inputs and output of embodied CO2e for an embodied CO2e cradle to gate life cycle analysis (LCA) of a product or service across any supply chain path or value adding processes. The carbon objects carry credited amounts and balances of embodied and assigned CO2e for products and processes encoded to the carbon object. A Life Cycle Inventory (LCI) library database configured to store an environmental embodied CO2e record for an LCA of a product or process. This carbon data is displayed in Product/Service GHG report or in third-party read/write services and integrations.
Systems, methods, devices and arrangements for cost-effective routing
A variety of methods, systems, devices and arrangements are implemented for assessing and/or controlling call routing for Internet-based (e.g., VoIP/VioIP) calls. According to one such method, endpoint devices are used to monitor and/or assess the call-quality. The assessment is sent to a centralized server arrangement and call-routing is controlled therefrom. Endpoint devices employ a decentralized testing mechanism to further monitor and assess call quality. Aspects of call quality are analyzed and attributed to endpoint devices and/or local connections or networks to distinguish intermediate routing issues from local/endpoint issues.
Techniques for registering an internet protocol (IP) endpoint for emergency services calling
Techniques are described for obtaining current location data for a non-traditional telephony endpoint for emergency calling purposes. An emergency services (ES) provider receives, from a telephony server responding to a telecommunication session establishment request from a telephony endpoint, a location registration request, the location registration request including telephony endpoint identification information. The ES provider may push a quick response (QR) code to the telephony endpoint, the QR code when scanned by a mobile device causes the mobile device to retrieve its current location data. The ES provider may then receive the current location data from the mobile device and store it and the telephony endpoint identification information for subsequent use should a 911 call be made from that telephony endpoint. The ES provider may then send the telephony server an authorization acknowledgement for the telecommunication session establishment request.
TRANSMISSION TERMINAL, TRANSMISSION METHOD, AND COMPUTER-READABLE RECORDING MEDIUM STORING TRANSMISSION PROGRAM
A transmission terminal transmits video data and display data of a screen shared with another transmission terminal to the other transmission terminal via a predetermined relay apparatus. The transmission terminal includes a storage unit that stores relay apparatus information of the relay apparatus to which the transmission terminal transmits the video data; a receive unit that receives the display data from an external input apparatus connected to the transmission terminal; and a transmitting unit that transmits the display data received by the receive unit to the relay apparatus indicated by the relay apparatus information stored in the storage unit.
METHOD AND ELECTRONIC DEVICE FOR MANAGING NETWORK RESOURCES AMONG APPLICATION TRAFFIC
A method and an electronic device for managing network resources among application traffic are provided. The method comprises identifying a real time application that is running on the electronic device and consuming network resources, determining whether the real time application belongs to a prioritized class, based on the real time application belonging to the prioritized class, determining a User Identifier (UID) of the real time application, and prioritizing the network resources for the real time application based on the UID.
Method, telephone, telecommunication system and device for controlling power consumption of a telephone
The invention relates to a method for controlling the power consumption of a telephone (10), (310). A power saving mode is automatically switched on or off for the telephone (10), (310), depending on: at least one given timespan, within which the telephone (10) is predicted not to be used or another terminal (380).
System and method for replacing hold-time with a call-back in a contact center environment
System and method for handling a transaction between a waiting party and queuing party include an independent communication system (ICS) managing calls between the waiting party and calling party for handling sensitive data as well as call-attached data. The ICS manages the transaction in different stages and with different levels of sensitivity. Either party is allowed to modify the call or call preferences during the transaction. The ICS works independently from the queuing party calling system.
Technique for acquiring and correlating session-related information from an internet protocol multimedia subsystem
A technique for acquiring and correlating session-related information from an Internet Protocol Multimedia Subsystem, IMS, is described. The technique comprises the acquisition of control plane information from control plane signalling tapped at an IMS control entity, the acquisition of user plane information from user plane traffic tapped at an IMS user plane entity, and the acquisition of context information from tapped signalling between the IMS control entity and the IMS user plane entity. The acquired context information permits to correlate the control plane information and the user plane information acquired for a particular session.
Prioritized call sessions
A local network call handling device is configured to establish multiple concurrent call sessions between local network end devices and an external network. When a prioritized end device attempts to establish a call session, the call handling device may initially determine if a first call session identifier is available. If so, the call session can be established using that first identifier. If the first identifier is in use for a call session of another end device, the call handling device may either use a different call session identifier for the prioritized end device session or may drop a pre-existing call session to free an identifier for use in connection with the prioritized end device.
Systems and methods for echo management in conferencing over a network using mixed multicast
A system includes participant nodes that unicast a voice stream to a master node and receive a multicast voice stream from the master node. The multicast voice stream may be a mixed voice stream mixing the voice streams of the participants. In this case, each participant performs echo cancellation on the multicast voice stream. Alternatively, the multicast voice stream may be a multiplexed voice stream multiplexing the voice streams of all participants. In this case, each participant de-multiplexes the multicast voice stream and generates a mixed voice stream that does not include that participant. Alternatively, the multicast voice stream received by each participant may be a multiplexed digital voice stream multiplexing multiple mixed streams including one mixed stream that does not include the voice stream of that participant. In this case, each participant de-multiplexes the multicast voice stream to obtain the mixed stream that does not include that participant.
