METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR SUPPORTING INTERNET CALL SESSIONS IN A COMMUNICATION NETWORK
Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, including a processing system for performing operations for determining service requirements of a call session at first user equipment associated with a communication network, determining a first codec to facilitate the call session at the first user equipment according to the service requirements of the call session, searching a session border controller table according to the first codec to obtain a first resource identifier associated with a first session border controller type to facilitate the call session at the user equipment, receiving a first address of a first session border controller associated with the communication network from a domain name server associated with the communication network responsive to a first query including the first resource identifier, and sending a first transport protocol message to the first session border controller according to the first address. Other embodiments are disclosed.
Communication system and method of using the same
A communication system can include terminal devices that communicate with a social network or a computer server device for scheduling use of conference resources and/or for using conference appliances that may be located in a conference room being used for a video conference or teleconference. The communication system can be configured to permit a user to use such resources without having to have a user's device be physically and directly connected by wiring to a conference appliance or communication device. The communication system can also be configured to validate participants to help ensure that only authorized personnel are properly attending a scheduled conference based on audio and/or video input received for the different participants and can also be configured to allow screen sharing to be performed during a video conference or teleconference.
Codec parameter adjustment based on call endpoint RF conditions in a wireless network
A network device determines radio frequency (RF) conditions at a first endpoint and a second endpoint of a call or session. The network device determines optimum first codec parameters for the determined RF conditions at the first endpoint of the call or session, and determines optimum second codec parameters for the determined RF conditions at the second endpoint of the call or session. The network device sends the first codec parameters to the first endpoint for altering operation of a first codec at a first device at the first endpoint. The network device sends the second codec parameters to the second endpoint for altering operation of a second codec at a second device at the second endpoint.
Region-based redirection and bridging of calls
Apparatus and methods are disclosed for bridging communications between a private network and a public network. A mapping that associates a first set of IP addresses of endpoints in the private network with a second set of IP addresses of endpoints in the public network is provided which enables communications between the private network and public network for network-address-translation (NAT). In response to a data packet having a first IP address of the first set of IP addresses, the data packet is used to determine whether the local line should be accessed. In response to an indication that the local line should be accessed, the identifier among the second set of IP addresses may be used to activate bridging (e.g., ATB) circuit and redirect a call associated with the data packet by passing the data packet through the ATB circuit.
VoIP Analog Telephone System
A multi-port VOID telecommunications system that allows the user to gain access to telephone connectivity through the Internet by connecting directly to the Internet or by connecting to the Internet through the existing Internet connection of a computer or cell phone device. The present system includes an Ethernet port, a Wi-Fi receiver to facilitate the transmission and receipt of Internet protocol signals wirelessly, a USB plug connectable to the ATA, connectivity to a home monitoring network and connectivity to Bluetooth devices.
Data communication routing architecture based on time zone and reconfiguration
Certain aspects of the disclosure are directed to routing data communications based on time zone. According to a specific example, a data-communications system for routing data communications based on time zone includes a communications routing circuit and a processing circuit. The communications routing circuit receives and routes data communications to a plurality of data communications stations and provides data communications services to remotely-situated client entities. For data communications routed for client entities in which a time zone routing feature is applied, the processing circuit determines a geographic location of the respective data communications station. The processing circuit then identifies a respective set of routing functions, based on a time zone of the geographic location, and routes the data communication based on the time zone, and according to the respective set of routing functions.
CALL COLLISION RESOLUTION
The present application relates to devices and components including apparatus, systems, and methods to provide call collision resolution procedures in wireless communication systems.
VOICE PACKETS OVER THE CONTROL PLANE
Providing a voice call includes: receiving, from a user equipment (UE), a request to initiate a voice call traffic session; requesting setup of a voice call data pipe; based on at least a setup of the voice call data pipe not completing prior to a timer event, transmitting voice packets over a signaling data pipe; and based on at least the voice call data pipe setup completing, ceasing to transmit voice packets over the signaling data pipe and transmitting voice packets over the voice call data pipe. Placing a voice call includes: requesting, by the UE, to initiate the voice call traffic session; based on at least a first trigger event, transmitting voice packets over the signaling data pipe; and based on at least a second trigger event, ceasing to transmit voice packets over the signaling data pipe and transmitting voice packets over the voice call data pipe.
Obtaining services through a local network
One or more endpoints may be registered with a gateway at a premises. The gateway may include local physical interfaces for communicating with a first subset of the endpoints. The gateway may further include Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) proxy servers for communicating with a second subset of the endpoints. Incoming communications to the premises may be routed by the gateway to one or more of the endpoints via the local physical interfaces or the SIP proxy servers. One or more endpoints may initiate outgoing communications via the local physical interfaces or the SIP proxy servers.
Computer-programmed telephone-enabled devices for processing and managing numerous simultaneous voice conversations conducted by an individual over a computer network and computer methods of implementing thereof
In some embodiments, the present invention provides for a computer-implemented method, including: causing, by a specifically programmed computer call management communication system, to transform, over a computer network, computing devices of users, into corresponding specialized call management devices, by having each computing device to execute a specialized call management client software application being in electronic communication with the specifically programmed computer call management communication system over the computer network by utilizing SIP; where the specialized call management client software application generates specialized graphical user interfaces configured to allow each user to concurrently initiate and maintain, over the computer network, a plurality of voice communications of distinct types with other users, by, for example, allowing each user to independently and dynamically divert, in real-time, any voice communication of any type to any audio device associated with a corresponding specialized call management device of such user.
