SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR MANAGING, ANALYZING AND PROVIDING VISUALIZATIONS OF MULTI-PARTY DIALOGS
20170257481 · 2017-09-07 ·

Systems and methods are provided for managing and analyzing multi-party dialogs (e.g., call) between communication devices. A digital connection is established with each of a plurality of communication devices. The connection is switched between the communication devices from a POTS connection to digital connections, enabling the communication devices to communicate with each other via the computing device over the digital connections. Audio signals are part of a multi-party dialog between users of the plurality of communication devices. The received audio signals are split into corresponding first signals and second signals. The first signals are transmitted to the plurality of communication devices and are analyzed to produce measurements of features of the second signals. Feedback data is transmitted to at least one of the plurality of communication devices.

Seamless and resource efficient roaming for group call services on broadcast/multicast networks

Various aspects and embodiments may provide seamless and resource efficient roaming for group call services on broadcast/multicast networks. In particular, upon a user equipment (UE) roaming or detecting an imminent move from a current Public Land Mobile Network (PLMN) to a Visited PLMN (VPLMN), an application server in a Home PLMN associated with the UE may determine whether to establish a multicast bearer in the VPLMN if the UE has pre-registered for group call services in the VPLMN and provide the UE with information about bearers that will support the group call services in the VPLMN. For example, the multicast bearer may be established in the VPLMN if a number of users actively participating in the VPLMN exceeds a threshold, or the group call services may alternatively be supported over unicast service only if the number of actively participating users in the VPLMN is below the threshold.

Method for Increasing Multicast Throughput in a Single-Hop Multi-Channel Wireless Network

A communications method comprising the following steps: establishing a single-hop, multi-channel wireless network comprising a plurality of half-duplex nodes that can simultaneously receive on multiple channels but that cannot simultaneously transmit on the multiple channels; using linear programming to establish a rapid-throughput transmission schedule for data transmissions between the half-duplex nodes; multicasting all the data transmissions in the network in multicast sessions according to the transmission schedule; using erasure coding to reconstruct data transmitted in a particular multicast session in instances where the entirety of the particular multicast session is not received at a given node because the given node was transmitting during part of the particular multicast session.
