USING MULTIPLE CREDENTIALS FOR ACCESS AND TRAFFIC DIFFERENTIATION
The disclosure relates in some aspects to establishing connectivity with a network using a first set of credentials and determining whether additional connectivity needs to be established (e.g., using a second set of credentials) to communicate data. The disclosure relates in some aspects to the use of multiple credentials for access and service connectivity. For example, traffic generated by a device may be authorized based on a different set of credentials than the set of credentials used to access the network (e.g., to connect to an LTE network for a PDN connection). In this way, traffic belonging to a specific service or application can be charged and policed based on service specific needs. The disclosure thus relates in some aspects to the use of access credentials and service credentials. These different types of credentials can be used to enable traffic differentiation and policing based on the credentials in use.
A METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR DYNAMICALLY ALLOCATING OPERATOR SPECIFIC BILLING RULES FOR DATA EXCHANGE BY AN APPLICATION ON A USER EQUIPMENT
The present system relates to a server for providing data connectivity in a packet mode communication network. The server has a processor arranged to receive, via a first brokerage control unit, a charging rule request to allow one or more communication devices in the communication network to exchange with an application server data charged under operator specific billing. The server determines availability of the operator specific billing based on network parameters and the charging rule request, and updates the database of a Policy and Charging Rules Function (PCRF) entity in the communication network based on available operator specific billing and an identifier for the application server, for subsequent charging of data exchanged with the application server at said available operator specific billing.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR TRANSITION OF APPLICATIONS TO A SECOND CELLULAR DATA NETWORKING INTERFACE FOR A VIRTUAL SIM SERVICE
A method at a user equipment to facilitate splitting of data billing between at least two parties, the method assigning a first subset of application to a first forwarding information base (“FIB”) on the user equipment; associating the first FIB with a first cellular data interface; activating the splitting of data billing on the user equipment; and replacing the association in the first FIB to the first cellular interface with an association between a second cellular data interface and the first FIB.
Method and System for Family Plan Sharing of Wireless Services
A system and process of sharing a wireless surface allotment in a third party wireless network includes implementing a metering system to meter wireless service usage by users of the third party wireless network and tracking wireless usage by a plurality of wireless devices associated with the metering system. The system and process further includes receiving a share request to reallocate the respective wireless service allotment for at least two of the plurality of wireless devices, forwarding modification instructions to the metering system, requesting confirmation from the metering system that the modification instructions have been received, and modifying the respective wireless service allotments for the at least two wireless devices in response to receiving confirmation from the metering system.
SERVICE PROCESSING METHOD, PCRF, AND SERVICE PROCESSING SYSTEM
Embodiments of the present disclosure disclose a service processing method, a PCRF, and a system. The method performed by the PCRF includes: obtaining service information of a service, where the service information includes a service identity; obtaining, according to user information and the service information, information indicating that the service requires QoS guarantee, and service chain information; when determining, according to the service chain information, that a network resource occupied by the service may be changed, sending the service identity and the information indicating that the service requires the QoS guarantee to a value-added service processor; receiving target service information, returned by the value-added service processor, of the service corresponding to the service identity; generating a first control policy according to the target service information; and sending the first control policy to a PCEF, so that the PCEF reserves a first network resource according to the first control policy.
Methods and Systems for Facilitating Subsidized Access by a User to Network Content
An exemplary method includes a subsidized access management system detecting a request provided by a user of an access device for the user to receive subsidized access to network content, identifying a plurality of user parameters provided by the user and that define a plurality of conditions associated with the subsidized access to the network content and that the user is willing to experience in order to receive the subsidized access to the network content, selecting a sponsor from a pool of potential sponsors and that is willing to sponsor the subsidized access to the network content in accordance with the plurality of user parameters, and providing the user with the subsidized access to the network content by way of the access device in accordance with a subsidized access arrangement between a subsidized access provider and the sponsor. Corresponding systems and methods are also described.
MOBILE COMMUNICATIONS TRANSMISSION SYSTEM FOR PROVIDING A MULTIPLICITY OF MOBILE COMMUNICATIONS CELLS IN A BUILDING OR CAMPUS
A mobile communications transmission system provides a plurality of mobile communications cells in a building or campus. It comprises a first baseband unit and a first gateway device, which is connectable to a data network. At least one transceiver unit is connected to the first baseband unit. The at least one transceiver unit is configured to provide at least one first mobile communications cell. By way of this first mobile communications cell, a subscriber device in the building can exchange information with the data network. A first control device is connected to the first baseband unit and the first gateway device. The first baseband unit and the first gateway device are installed in the building or campus in which the at least one transceiver unit provides the at least one first mobile communications cell, whereas the first control device is accommodated remote therefrom at an operating company.
TELEPHONY WEB EVENT SYSTEM AND METHOD
An embodiment of the system for publishing events of a telephony application to a client includes a call router that generates events from the telephony application and an event router that manages the publication of events generated by the call router and that manages the subscription to events by clients. The system can be used with a telephony application that interfaces with a telephony device and an application server

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ENABLING VPN-LESS SESSION SETUP FOR CONNECTING MOBILE DATA DEVICES TO AN ENTERPRISE DATA NETWORK
A mobile application gateway configured to interconnect mobile communication devices on a cellular network with an enterprise network is provided. The mobile application gateway includes a voice and data signaling gateway configured to provide routing functionalities, service functionalities and admission control. A gateway GPRS support node (GGSN) is configured to establish a secure data session between one or more of the mobile communication devices and the enterprise network by establishing a GPRS tunneling protocol (GTP) tunnel between a carrier-hosted serving GPRS support node (SGSN) and the GGSN.
