Driving assistance device
A driving assistance device includes: an image capturing part configured to image-capture a rear lateral area of a host vehicle and a dead angle area; a display part configured to display a video image captured by the image capturing part; and a blinker switch configured to make a signal of a movement of the host vehicle to a first side or a second side. The display part displays the video image according to a turn on of the blinker switch indicating a movement of the vehicle to the second side, turns off the display of the video image when a predetermined amount of time elapses after the blinker switch is turned off, and turns off the display of the video image before the predetermined amount of time elapses when it is predicted that the host vehicle moves to the first side within the predetermined amount of time.
Lane change determining apparatus, junction entry determining apparatus and method thereof
A junction (JC) entry determining method and a lane change determining method are provided. The JC entry determining method includes acquiring, by a controller, positional information of a vehicle surrounding object using radar and determining whether a junction entrance is present using the positional information. A width of a right space of the vehicle is determined using the positional information and a vehicle surrounding environment image is captured. The controller is also configured to determine a type of right lane of the vehicle using the captured image and determine whether the vehicle enters the JC based on whether the JC entrance is present, the width of the right space of the vehicle, and the type of lane.
Imaging system with panoramic scanning range
Cameras with panoramic scanning range comprising a folded digital camera in which an optical path folding element (OPFE) that folds a first optical path from an object or scene into a second optical path substantially parallel with an optical axis of a lens of the folded camera, the OPFE being rotatable around the lens optical axis, and systems incorporating such cameras.
See-through computer display systems with stray light management
Aspects of the present invention relate to methods and systems for the see-through computer display systems. In embodiments, the systems and methods use curved display panels to generate image light.
ADVANCED PICTURE QUALITY ORIENTED RATE CONTROL FOR LOW-LATENCY STREAMING APPLICATIONS
An advanced constant quality rate control algorithm with new features and enhancements. can be applicable to different kinds of video scenes, in addition to static or less motion scenes. Statistical data is calculated at the beginning of encoding for each line of sections of a frame. Based on the statistical data, which case of a plurality of cases to be executed is determined and maximum and minimum QP values are determined according to the determined case. Actual maximum and minimum QP of the current line using is maintained using the maximum and minimum QP and a final QP value is determined for all sections in each line. A lambda value for encoding is determined from the final QP. At the end of encoding the picture, the number of frames encoded using constant quality is counted, the maximum and minimum QP and VBV fullness for each line is updated.
Media recording for audio visual entertainment
A media recorder is operable to receive broadcast media data from a media data source. The media recorder comprises a storage element for storing at least a portion of the media data, and a receiver for receiving a sequence of video images from a video camera. The media recorder further comprises a user detector for detecting whether a user is attending to a presentation of the media data, and a media presentation status detector operable to detect whether the presentation of the media item has ended. If the user detector detects that the user is not attending to the presentation, the user detector is operable to cause the storage element to store the media data. If the media presentation status detector detects that presentation of the media item has ended, the media presentation status detector is operable to cause the media recorder to enter a stand-by mode.
Device control device, device control system, device control method, and recording medium
A client terminal can control a printer even when the network connection to a web server is interrupted, and can convert character codes using a simple configuration. The client terminal having a standard web browser and connected to a web server and a printer has a web page acquisition unit that uses the web browser to acquire a web page with an embedded printer control script from the web server; a web page display unit that displays the acquired web page and run the printer control script; a character code conversion unit that uses the printer control script to convert script character codes to printer character codes, which is a character code for the device; and a command transmission unit that sends a command containing the converted printer character codes to the printer.
Modulo embedding of video parameters
A decoding method of selecting a value for a video parameter based on a portion of video data encoded in a video bitstream. The method receives the portion of encoded video data from the video bitstream and determines an aggregate value based on the received portion of the video data. The method determines a remainder by dividing the aggregate value with a predetermined value and then selects a value for the video parameter from a set of predefined values according to a mapping from the determined remainder, wherein the mapping has at least a plurality of values for a remainder corresponding to a single value for the video parameter. Associated methods for encoding are also disclosed.
