METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR CONTENT PROCESSING
Mobile phones and other portable devices are equipped with a variety of technologies by which existing functionality can be improved, and new functionality can be provided. Some aspects relate to visual search capabilities, and determining appropriate actions responsive to different image inputs. Others relate to processing of image data. Still others concern metadata generation, processing, and representation. Yet others concern user interface improvements. Other aspects relate to imaging architectures, in which a mobile phone's image sensor is one in a chain of stages that successively act on packetized instructions/data, to capture and later process imagery. Still other aspects relate to distribution of processing tasks between the mobile device and remote resources (“the cloud”). Elemental image processing (e.g., simple filtering and edge detection) can be performed on the mobile phone, while other operations can be referred out to remote service providers. The remote service providers can be selected using techniques such as reverse auctions, through which they compete for processing tasks. A great number of other features and arrangements are also detailed.
IMAGING DEVICE AND PLAYBACK DEVICE
An imaging device includes an imaging element that acquires a first image based on signal charge generated during a first accumulation time, and a second image based on signal charge generated during a second accumulation time relatively longer than the first accumulation time and synchronized with the first image during a synchronization period including the first accumulation time, and a moving image file generating unit that generates a moving image file including a first moving image based on the first image, a second moving image based on the second image, and synchronization information for synchronizing the first moving image and the second moving image frame by frame.
Buffer management for plug-in architectures in computation graph structures
A computer vision processing device is provided which comprises memory configured to store data and a processor. The processor is configured to store captured image data in a first buffer and acquire access to the captured image data in the first buffer when the captured image data is available for processing. The processor is also configured to execute a first group of operations in a processing pipeline, each of which processes the captured image data accessed from the first buffer and return the first buffer for storing next captured image data when a last operation of the first group of operations executes.
Imaging device and signal processing device
The present disclosure relates to an imaging device and a signal processing device capable of expanding an application range of the imaging device. An imaging device includes an imaging element that includes one or more pixel output units that receive incident light from a subject incident without an intervention of an imaging lens or a pinhole and output one detection signal indicating an output pixel value modulated by an incident angle of the incident light, and outputs a detection signal set including one or more detection signals, and a communication unit that transmits imaging data including the detection signal set and position attitude data indicating at least one of a position or an attitude to a communication device by wireless communication. The present disclosure is applicable to, for example, a monitoring system and the like.
Imaging device and information acquisition system in which an acquired image and associated information are held on a display
An imaging device includes an imaging portion that images a subject; a positional information acquisition portion that acquires positional information of an imaging position; a control portion which acquires information on the subject based on the positional information, and displays image data of the subject and the information on the subject on a display portion; and a hold control portion that outputs a hold control signal, which holds the image data of the subject and the information on the subject, to the control portion.
Devices and methods for capturing and interacting with enhanced digital images
An electronic device, while in a first media acquisition mode, captures media and performs scene recognition. If the scene recognition meets first criteria, the media is displayed as a sequence of images acquired by the camera in temporal proximity to a single activation of a shutter button of the device at the first time. The sequence of images includes a plurality of images acquired by the camera prior to detecting activation of the shutter button at the first time, a representative image that represents the sequence of images and was acquired by the camera after one or more other images in the sequence of images, and a plurality of images acquired by the camera after acquiring the representative image. If the scene recognition does not meet the first criteria, the media is displayed as a single image in temporal proximity to the activation of the shutter button.
Photographing apparatus providing image transmission based on communication status, method of controlling the same, and non-transitory computer-readable storage medium for executing the method
A photographing apparatus includes a photographing unit that captures an image from incident light thereon; a communication status checking unit that checks a communication status of the photographing apparatus; a resolution determination unit that sets a resolution for a first image file for the captured image according to the communication status; a file generation unit that generates the first image file from the captured image, the first image file having the set resolution; and a communication unit that transmits the first image file to an external device.
Web-sourced device control
A method, computer program product and computer system are provided to promote device usage compliance. A processor retrieves a current position for a device. A processor determines at least one nearby location based on the current position of the device. A processor retrieves search data regarding the at least one nearby location. A processor determines compliance information regarding the at least one location based, at least in part, on the search data. A processor configures the device based on the compliance information regarding the at least one location.
Imaging apparatus, control method, and program
Included is an imaging unit that outputs images by imaging a subject, a light amount adjustment unit that drives a light amount adjustment member to adjust the amount of light input to the imaging unit, a control unit that controls the imaging unit so that after a first image is output by the imaging unit, a second image having an exposure amount different from that of the first image is output, and a setting unit that sets the difference in the exposure amount between the first image and the second image. The first image and the second image are images used for compositing. The setting unit sets the difference in the exposure amount between the first image and second image so that the relative relationship in the exposure amount between the first image and the second image imaged when the light amount adjustment unit is operating is the same as the relative relationship in the exposure amount between the first image and the second image imaged when the light amount adjustment unit is not operating.
DISPLAY CONTROL APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING THE SAME
A display control apparatus includes, a reception unit that receives an operation on a display object displayed in a display area, a changing unit that changes the display area to a second size smaller than a first size, and a control unit that controls to, in a case where the operation is not received while the display area is displayed in the first size, when the display area is changed from the first size to the second size, display a first range of the display object, and in a case where the operation is received while the display area is displayed in the first size, when the display area is changed from the first size to the second size, move the display object to display a second range.
