Remote deposit of checks can be facilitated by a financial institution. A customer's general purpose computer and image capture device may be leveraged to capture an image of a check and deliver the image to financial institution electronics. Additional data for the transaction may be collected as necessary. The transaction can be automatically accomplished utilizing the images and data thus acquired.

A camera module is disclosed herein, including a housing, a lens unit arranged in the housing and including at least one lens, a first driving unit arranged adjacent to a first surface inside the housing and configured to move the at least one lens in a direction along an optical axis, and a second driving unit arranged adjacent to the first surface inside the housing to move the lens unit in a direction perpendicular to the optical axis, where the first driving unit forms a first magnetic field oriented in a first direction, and wherein the second driving unit forms a second magnetic field oriented in a second direction intersecting the first direction at a pre specified angle.

An electronic device according to the present invention includes at least one memory and at least one processor which function as: a recording control unit configured to perform control to start recording content including at least one of a moving image and sound in response to an operation of a first operating member or a second operating member; and a control unit configured to perform control to: record the content as content of a new group that differs from a group of content recorded immediately prior thereto in a case where recording of the content is started in response to receipt of an operation of the first operating member; and record the content as content of the same group as the content recorded immediately prior thereto in a case where recording of the content is started in response to receipt of an operation of the second operating member.

A digital camera is provided with a vertically long camera body having an approximately rectangular solid shape. An LCD panel provided in a rear surface of the camera body is arranged such that longitudinal directions of the display screen and the camera body correspond to each other. The digital camera is operated through a touch panel provided in a lower portion of the display screen. In a taking mode, an image is displayed in a small size on an upper portion of the display screen. In reproducing, the camera body is rotated sideways by 90 degree. In a reproducing mode, display posture of the image is also rotated by 90 degree, and the image is displayed in a large size on the entire display screen.

An electronic device is provided. The electronic device includes a housing, a wireless communication circuit, a camera configured to generate raw image data, at least one processor, and a memory. The memory stores instructions configured, when executed, to enable the processor to process first image data corresponding to raw image data via a first algorithm and generate second image data, process the first image data or the second image data via a second algorithm and generate third image data, the second algorithm being different from the first algorithm, generate a first file including the second image data and the third image data, receive priority information from an external electronic device via the wireless communication circuit, generate a second file including the second image data and the third image data based on the priority information, and transmit the second file via the wireless communication circuit to the external electronic device.

An image processing apparatus obtains image data and transmits the image data to an external apparatus. The image processing apparatus applies first image processing to the image data and receives a result of second image processing applied in the external apparatus to a part of the image data corresponding to a partial area of an entire image represented by the image data, prior to receiving a result of the second image processing applied in the external apparatus to the entirety of the image data corresponding to the entire image. The image processing apparatus, when causing a display apparatus to display the image data that has been transmitted to the external apparatus, causes the display apparatus to display the image data along with an indicator indicating a status of the second image processing being applied to the image data in the external apparatus.

Techniques to selectively capture media using a single user interface element are described. In one embodiment, an apparatus may comprise a touch controller, a visual media capture component, and a storage component. The touch controller may be operative to receive a haptic engagement signal. The visual media capture component may be operative to be configured in a capture mode based on whether a haptic disengagement signal is received by the touch controller before expiration of a first timer, the capture mode one of a photo capture mode or video capture mode, the first timer started in response to receiving the haptic engagement signal, the first timer configured to expire after a first preset duration. The storage component may be operative to store visual media captured by the visual media capture component in the configured capture mode. Other embodiments are described and claimed.
