An example two-stage ramp ADC includes: a transimpedance amplifier configured to convert an input signal from current to voltage; a comparator connected to the transimpedance amplifier; a switch bias set connected to the comparator; a switch side capacitor in parallel with the switch bias set; a ramp side capacitor in parallel with the switch bias set; a ramp generator connected to the comparator via the ramp side capacitor, wherein the ramp generator is configured to generate a ramp signal; a counter; and a memory connected to the comparator, wherein the memory is configured to store an output of the comparator.
Core network bypass for toll-free calling
Techniques are described for determining when and how to re-route toll-free calls around a core telephony network experiencing significant disruptions. A core telephony network of a telephony service provider is monitored for anomalies. Upon detecting an anomaly, it is determined whether the anomaly is significant enough to warrant re-routing inbound toll-free calls around the core telephony network. The re-routing process comprises accessing an industry registry database including a plurality of toll-free numbers (TFNs) associated with a routing template comprising the instructions for routing toll-free calls. The routing template instructions may be switched to re-direct toll-free calls associated with one or more specific TFNs to a particular carrier. Within that particular carrier, the routing instructions may be switched to re-direct the toll-free calls away from the service provider's core telephony network to a network bypass cloud platform. The network bypass cloud platform may be configured to receive toll-free calls, determine a customer telephony network to which to route the received toll-free calls based on the TFN of the toll-free call, and route the toll-free call to the customer telephony network.
Data transmission using alert signals to carry data
Various embodiments provide for data transmission using alert signals to carry data, which can be used in such applications as data network communications between sensors (e.g., cameras, motion, radar, etc.) and computing equipment within vehicles (e.g., smart and autonomous cars).
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR COMMUNICATIONS NODE UPGRADE AND SELECTION
Implementations described and claimed herein provide systems and methods for identification of connection areas in a telecommunications network. In one implementation, a customer set is obtained for a communications node in the telecommunications network. The customer set includes an existing connection type and a collection of network sites including the connection type is generated from the customer set. An overlay of customer sites without the connection type may be applied to the collection of network sites to generate an intersection of non-connected customer sites within the collection of network sites including the connection type. The intersection provides an indication of underserviced sites connection to the telecommunication network for potential network growth.
COMMUNICATION INTERFERENCE AVOIDANCE AND PREDICTION
A controller transmits a message on a channel at a time the channel is predicted to be unoccupied according to a time ordered series of symbols. Each of the symbols represents a group of discrete time durations during which the channel has been occupied by a periodic signal and a corresponding feature of the periodic signal during the discrete time durations.
ORIGINATING NUMBER OR ADDRESS-BASED ROUTE DETERMINATION AND ROUTING
Novel tools and techniques are provided for implementing originating number or address -based route determination and routing. In various embodiments, a computing system may receive, from a first router among a plurality of routers in a first network operated by a first service provider, first SIP data, the first SIP data indicating a request to initiate a SIP-based media communication session between a calling party at an originating address in an originating network and a called party at a terminating address in a terminating network. The computing system may determine a communication route among a plurality of routes through the plurality of routers in the first network for establishing the SIP-based media communication session, based at least in part on the originating address, and may establish the SIP-based media communication session between the calling party and the called party via the determined communication route.
REDUNDANCY OF DISTRIBUTED ANTENNA SYSTEMS
A distributed antenna system of the present invention implements duplication by a method of configuring a first headend unit and a second headend unit in an active state or in a standby state and connecting a hub unit or a remote unit to the first headend unit and the second headend unit and by a method of connecting, through a redundancy link, a hub unit or remote units of a branch group branched from and connected to each headend unit, activating the redundancy link according to the control of an active headend unit when an error occurs in a frame transmission path, and changing logical port states of a hub unit or remote units that cannot transmit frames due to the error in order to change the frame transmission path so that frame transmission is possible through the activated redundancy link.

Angled Faceplates for a network element
A module for a networking node is disclosed. The module includes a Printed Circuit Board (“PCB”); one or more circuits mounted to the PCB; and a faceplate that including a plurality of plates, angled relative to one another, such that the faceplate includes increased surface area relative to a substantially flat faceplate, wherein at least two plates of the plurality of plates include physical ports each having track lengths to a circuit of one or more circuits, wherein one or more of the physical ports support signals at a rate of at least 100 Gbps. Each plate of the plurality of plates can be flat. Any of the plurality of plates can include physical ports. The physical ports can be pluggable modules. Each type of the physical ports can be a same type on a given plate.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR TAGGING FRAUDULENT PHONE NUMBERS
A method including: receiving a user report dataset indicating fraudulent activity corresponding to a phone number; responsive to receiving the user report dataset, identifying a record in a database corresponding to the phone number; and tagging the record to identify the phone number as being associated with fraudulent activity.
