The one or more programs include instructions for receiving, from a second device, audio mix information for a first audio item and receiving, from the second device, an indication that the first audio item is to be mixed with a second audio item distinct from the first audio item. In response to the indication, the one or more programs include instructions for transmitting to the second device an audio stream including the first audio item and the second audio item mixed in accordance with the audio mix information.

The method comprises: receiving at least one signal from a plurality of microphones, wherein each microphone is associated with one of a plurality of spatial zones, and one of a plurality of avatar devices; wherein the at least one signal further comprises a speech signal component from a speaker; wherein the speech signal component is a voice command or question; sending zone information associated with the speaker and with one of the plurality of spatial zones to an avatar; activating one the plurality of avatar devices in a respective one of the plurality of spatial zones associated with the speaker.

An audio dose monitoring circuit includes: a sound level measuring circuit arranged to operably generate multiple sound level values, wherein the multiple sound level values respectively correspond to the sound levels generated by an audio playback device at multiple time points or the sound levels received by a microphone at multiple time points; an audio dose calculating circuit coupled with the sound level measuring circuit and arranged to operably generate an audio dose value corresponding to a measuring period based on the multiple sound level values and contents of a weighting table; a control circuit coupled with the audio dose calculating circuit and arranged to operably compare the audio dose value with a dose threshold to determine whether to generate a control signal or not; and an indication signal generating circuit coupled with the control circuit and arranged to operably generate a corresponding indication signal according to the control signal.

A processing device according to an embodiment includes: a frequency characteristics acquisition unit configured to acquire frequency characteristics of at least one sound pickup signal; a smoothing processing unit configured to perform smoothing processing so as to generate second spectral data smoother than first spectral data based on the frequency characteristics; a first compression unit configured to calculate a first difference value corresponding to a difference between the second spectral data and the first spectral data in a first band, and to compress the second spectral data based on the first difference value; and a filter generation unit configured to generate a filter, based on the second spectral data.
