INTELLIGENT ROBOT CLEANER
20200375425 · 2020-12-03 ·

Disclosed herein is an intelligent robot cleaner. The intelligent robot cleaner primarily senses foreign matter sucked through a suction unit under the control of a control unit, and secondarily senses an article collected in a collection unit, if articles other than the foreign matter are sensed, thus allowing a use to recognize accurate information about the article collected in the collection unit and preventing valuables or small articles from being lost. The intelligent robot device may be associated with an artificial intelligence module, a unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), a robot, an augmented reality (AR) device, a virtual reality (VR) device, devices related to 5G services, and the like.

Drive-through order point
10796611 · 2020-10-06 ·

An order point can be employed in a drive-through or similar setting. The order point can have one or more rotatable menu cases. Each rotatable menu case can include two opposing sides that are equally configured to display a menu. The menu case can be mounted to the order point in a manner that allows either side of the menu case to be rotated into a forward facing position. The menu case can also include angle stops which limit the range of rotation of the menu case and retain the menu case in the forward facing positions. The order point may also include a pivoting canopy which functions to shade the menu cases as well as to prevent damage when a vehicle is too tall.

Systems and methods of user localization
10791396 · 2020-09-29 · ·

Systems and methods are disclosed in which a playback device transmits a first sound signal including a predetermined waveform. In one example, the playback device receives a second sound signal including at least one reflection of the first sound signal. The second sound signal is processed to determine a location of a person relative to the playback device, and a characteristic of audio reproduction by the playback device is selected, based on the determined location of the person.

Analog and digital microphone
10779099 · 2020-09-15 · ·

A system and method including receiving an activity signal from a detection unit, the activity signal indicative of detected activity, responsive to the received activity signal exceeding a predetermined threshold, switching a digital microphone from a default low-power mode to active mode, and a pre-determined period of time after switching the digital microphone to active mode, switching the digital microphone back to the default low-power mode.

Stethoscope with two pair of headsets
10751024 · 2020-08-25 · ·

A stethoscope according to exemplary embodiments of the inventive concept includes a chestpiece for examining a patient by contacting him on the body, a microphone unit for receiving a doctor's voice, a first headset unit connected to the doctor's ears, and a second headset unit connected to the patient's ears, and a guiding unit guiding the chestpiece and the microphone unit to be each connected to at least one of the first headset unit and the second headset unit. Such the composition of the stethoscope enables the patient to listen to the doctor's voice as well as the auscultation sound gathered through the chestpiece, selectively.

Device for signalling audible alarms and the like

A device for signalling acoustic signals associated to a sound source to people having hearing problems. The device includes receiving and transmitting elements, which can be associated to a specific acoustic alarm, by an appropriate phase for recording and recognizing the sound and associating to an identifying code, near the emitting sound source. The device also includes a portable terminal, apt to receive and recognize the signals emitted by the receiving and transmitting elements. The device further includes software, installed on a portable processing device capable of connecting to the wireless connection of the portable terminal of providing an interface for programming the terminal, where each receiving and transmitting element is shaped like a plate acting as transducer for the mechanical vibration and includes a fastener to a surface.

Audio assemblies for electronic devices

Voice-controlled devices that include one or more speakers for outputting audio. In some instances, the device includes at least one speaker within a cylindrical housing, with the speaker aimed or pointed away from a microphone coupled to the housing. For instance, if the microphone resides at or near the top of the cylindrical housing, then the speaker may point downwards along the longitudinal axis of the housing and away from the microphone. By pointing the speaker away from the microphone, the microphone will receive less sound from the speaker than if the speaker were pointed toward the microphone). Because the voice-controlled device may perform speech recognition on audio signals generated by the microphone, less sound from the speaker represented in the audio signal may result in more accurate speech recognition, and/or a lesser need to perform acoustic echo cancelation (AEC) on the generated audio signals.

MULTIPURPOSE BLUETOOTH INTERFACE AND CONTROLLER
20200201593 · 2020-06-25 ·

A multi-purpose Bluetooth interface and controller includes a microcontrol unit and at least one first microphone, the first microphone being electrically connected to the MCU and configured to collect sound signals and convert the sound signals into electrical signals that are received by the MCU; wherein the Bluetooth interface and controller further includes at least one connection port which is electrically connected to the MCU and is configured to connect an external device that includes a wired microphone, the wired microphone also being configured to collect sound signals that are received by the MCU; and the MCU encodes electrical sound signals received from the first microphone and the external wired microphone, and transmits the encoded sound signals in uplink to a mobile terminal via a Bluetooth wireless connection established between the MCU and the mobile terminal for subsequent processing by the mobile terminal.

Method and device for eliminating thermal interference for infrared and video-based early fire detection
10694107 · 2020-06-23 ·

A process for the elimination of thermal interferences in the infrared and video fire detection at an early stage in waste incineration plants, recycling facilities, warehouses and the like. The process is characterized by an additional noise and vibration analysis, by measuring the noise level of vehicles situated in the area to be detected or other thermal interference sources, with a distinction in measuring the noise level between day mode and night mode. The volume thresholds can thus be determined and be used as a threshold for determining whether a fire extinguishing sequence should be triggered.
