DECODING OF AUDIO SCENES
Exemplary embodiments provide encoding and decoding methods, and associated encoders and decoders, for encoding and decoding of an audio scene which is represented by one or more audio signals. The encoder generates a bit stream which comprises downmix signals and side information which includes individual matrix elements of a reconstruction matrix which enables reconstruction of the one or more audio signals in the decoder.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR AN ULTRASONIC EMITTER SYSTEM FLOOR AUDIO UNIT
Methods and systems are provided for audio devices with enhanced directional operations. In a system that includes one or more audio output components, positioning information associated with at least a part of a user's body maybe determined, the positioning information including at least orientation related information. The one or more audio output components may be controlled based on the determined positioning information, with the determined positioning information corresponding to a positional nature of the user within a three-dimensional space around the user, and where the controlling includes providing a three-dimensional audio environment according to the user.
DISTRIBUTED WIRELESS SPEAKER SYSTEM
A master device receives audio, down-mixes the audio to stereo if it is not already in stereo, and then up-mixes the stereo into as many channels as there speakers in the network. The up-mixing can be based on the number and locations of the speakers, which may be determined automatically using a real time location system such as ultra wide band (UWB) location determination techniques. The master device sends each speaker the stereo only, with each speaker also up-mixing the stereo into at least its own respective channel and in some cases into all N channels, selecting from the rendered “N” channels that result from the up-mix the channel indicated as being associated with the particular location of the particular speaker.

REAL-TIME ADAPTIVE AUDIO SOURCE SEPARATION
Methods and systems for audio source separation in real-time are described. In an embodiment, the present disclosure describes reading and decoding an audio source into PCM samples, fragmenting Pulse Code Modulation (PCM) samples into fragments, transforming fragments into spectrograms, performing audio source separation using a training database that includes a training dictionary and non-negative matrix factorization (NMF) to generate a set of component signals, and streaming the component signals to a playback engine. In an embodiment, a semantic equalizer graphical user allows for fading of individual component signals.

Determining renderers for spherical harmonic coefficients
In general, techniques are described for determining renderers used for rendering spherical harmonic coefficients to generate one or more loudspeaker signals. A device comprising one or more processors may perform the techniques. The one or more processors may be configured to determine a local speaker geometry of one or more speakers used for playback of spherical harmonic coefficients representative of a sound field, and configure the device to operate based on the local speaker geometry.

CENTRALIZED WIRELESS SPEAKER SYSTEM
A centralized master device receives audio, down-mixes the audio to stereo if it is not already in stereo, and then up-mixes (renders) the stereo into as many channels as there speakers in the network. The up-mixing can be based on the number and locations of the speakers, which may be determined automatically using a real time location system such as ultra wide band (UWB) location determination techniques. The master device sends each speaker its respective channel.
