SLIDING JAW THRUST DEVICE
A device and method that facilitates performance of a jaw thrust maneuver. A base connected to a rack and pinion mechanism including at least one pinion rotatably attached to the base and at least two racks slidably attached to the base and engaged with the pinion to move in opposite directions upon rotation of at least one pinion. A pair of arms, each pivotably coupled to one of the racks to allow rotational freedom of motion. A patient's head is placed in supine position and a pair of arms slides towards the patient's head in synchrony to position the arms to clear the patient's airways.
PATIENT AIRWAY DOME AND METHODS OF MAKING AND USING SAME
A patient airway dome including an adjustable frame having a hinge such that the hinge allows the frame to adjust between an erected position to create an airway dome and a collapsed position that allows the frame to lay flat, a dome covering located over the retractable frame, a suction port which is connected to a conventional device in order to provide negative pressure to patient airway dome, and an arm access assembly operatively connected to the dome covering, wherein the arm access assembly includes an opening in the dome covering and a closure assembly located adjacent to the opening.
CHAIR-TYPE PHOTOTHERAPY DEVICE
An object of the present invention is to provide a chair-type phototherapy device that enables a patient to perform light irradiation accurately targeted at a treatment site in a seated position on a chair and consequently achieves effective phototherapy even when the treatment site is in the back region that the patient is unable to see, for example, as in light irradiation for dysuria patients and patients with pain, and the patient performs light irradiation by himself/herself at home. The present invention provides a chair-type phototherapy device having a seat on which a patient is seated. The chair-type phototherapy device includes a radiation module configured to emit radiation light toward a living body, a drive module positioned behind the patient for moving the radiation module, and a fixing module fixing the drive module to the seat.
NEWBORN SUPPORT DEVICE AND RESUSCITATION DEVICE
A newborn support device for supporting a newborn in close proximity to the mother is provided. The newborn support device has a support platform for receiving thereon the newborn in an almost fully supported manner. The platform is provided with an elongated slit which is accessible from a side of the platform and extends through the platform from the top surface to a bottom surface of the platform. The slit enables resuscitation of the newborn on the platform with delayed cord clamping. In another aspect the invention relates to a resuscitation device having resuscitation means connected to such a support device.
Epidural patient positioning system
An epidural patient positioning system for providing a mobile support platform which is adjustable for a wide range of patient sizes and configurations of treatment tables. The epidural patient positioning system includes a base assembly having a plurality of casters, a vertical assembly extending upwardly from the base assembly, a pair of adjustable foot supports positioned on either side of the vertical assembly, and pair of adjustable arm supports positioned on either side of the vertical assembly, a torso support member positionable both vertically and laterally rom the vertical assembly, and a motor and control assembly.
MRI COMPATIBLE PATIENT TROLLEY
A trolley system configured to transport a patient within an MRI environment includes a patient support portion, a base portion configured for movement relative to a floor, a lift coupled to the patient support portion and the base portion, an electric motor coupled to the lift, and an electric blower coupled to the patient transfer device. The lift is configured to change the elevation of the patient support portion relative to the base portion. The motor is mounted such that the elevation of the motor is fixed relative to base portion. The trolley system is positionable adjacent an MRI apparatus within the MRI environment and the magnetic field of the MRI does not interfere with the operation of the motor or blower. The trolley system may further include a patient transfer device having an air bearing. The blower is configured to deliver air to the air bearing.
ELEVATED CPR ASSIST DEVICE AND METHOD
An elevated CPR assist device is provided which is suitable for attachment to a stretcher to elevate a patient as elevated CPR is carried out on the patient. The device includes a housing and upper and lower device straps extending from the device housing. The upper device strap may be configured for attachment to the upper portion of a stretcher mattress on, or a backrest of, a stretcher. The lower device strap may be configured for attachment to the stretcher frame of the stretcher. At least one of the upper device strap and the lower device strap may be selectively extendable from the device housing. Selected extended lengths of the extendable device strap correspond to respective patient support angles of the stretcher mattress. The elevated CPR device is lengthened between the stretcher frame and the stretcher mattress/backrest to various desired angles, during the performance of elevated CPR.
Percussive Adjusting Instrument
A percussive adjusting instrument is provided which includes a percussive instrument head and a traversing arm that couples to the percussive instrument head. The percussive instrument head is movable with respect to the traversing arm. A vertical arm supports the traversing arm. The vertical arm also pivots the traversing arm and the percussive instrument head about an axis. A pivot assembly allows movement of the vertical arm and the percussive instrument head.
INTELLIGENT WHEERCHAIR SYSTEM HAVING MEDICAL MONITORING AND RESPONSE FUNCTION
A method and system for monitoring physiological information. The system comprises: sensors (230), wherein the sensors (230) comprise a motion sensor and a medical monitoring sensor, the motion sensor comprises a first type of sensor (1220) and a second type of sensor (1240), and the medical monitoring sensor is configured to acquire physiological information of a user; a motion assembly (920) executing a control parameter-based operation to move in the surroundings; a tripod head (930); and a processor (210) used to execute operations such as information receiving, map construction, route planning, and control parameter operation.
Dental treatment machine with a retractable backrest for children
Embodiments of the present invention provide a dental treatment machine for children. The dental treatment machine may include a base, a cushion and a backrest, where the vertical distance between the base and the cushion, the angle between respective planes of the cushion and the backrest, as well as the horizontal distance between the cushion and the backrest are selectively adjustable according to a child's figure. Preferably, the vertical distance adjustment between the cushion and the base is about 350-730 mm, the angle adjustment between the backrest and the cushion is about 0°˜68°, and the distance adjustment between the backrest and the cushion is about 0˜50 mm.
