A communication apparatus receives a signal that is transmitted from a partner apparatus using a first communication scheme, and establishes, on the basis that the signal received includes information indicating that parameter exchange processing is to be executed, a connection with the partner apparatus using a second communication scheme, wherein the second communication scheme has a higher communication rate and consumes more power than the first communication scheme. In addition, the communication apparatus exchanges, by using the second communication scheme, information to be used in communication for the parameter exchange processing with the partner apparatus, and executes the parameter exchange processing using the information by using the second communication unit scheme.

Pairing a voice-enabled device with a display device

Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for pairing a speech-enabled device with a display device. A determination may be made to pair a speech-enabled device with a display device of a particular type. A set of display devices that are associated with the speech-enabled device may be identified in response to determining to pair the speech-enabled device with the display device of the particular type. An instruction may be provided to each of the display devices. The instruction may cause the display device to determine (i) whether the display device is of the particular type and (ii) whether the display device and the speech-enabled device both share a local area network and display on the display device an indication regarding pairing with the speech-enabled device.

DATA FORWARDING FOR USER EQUIPMENT WITH DATA TRANSMISSION
20230217444 · 2023-07-06 · ·

Presented are systems, methods, apparatuses, or computer-readable media for data forwarding for user equipment with data transmission. A non-anchor node may receive user data of a wireless communication device to send uplink. The non-anchor node may decode the user data into an uplink air interface protocol protocol data unit (PDU), using a partial portion of context information of the wireless communication device. The non-anchor node may send the uplink air interface protocol PDU in a user data container of a first message, to an anchor node having full context information of the wireless communication device.

WIRELESS PERIPHERAL DOCKS AND SENSORS

In one example in accordance with the present disclosure, an electronic device is described. An example electronic device includes a charging dock to charge a wireless peripheral device and a sensor to determine when the wireless peripheral device is decoupled from the charging dock. A wireless communication device of the example electronic device wirelessly communicates with the wireless peripheral device. A controller of the example electronic device, responsive to an output from the sensor indicating that the wireless peripheral device is decoupled from the charging dock, triggers the wireless communication device to pair with the wireless peripheral device.

WIRELESS COMMUNICATION METHOD AND REMOTE TERMINAL

Provided are a wireless communication method and a remote terminal. The method includes that: a first remote terminal determines a first relay terminal for point-to-point communication; and the first remote terminal performs end-to-end communication with a second remote terminal through the first relay terminal. End-to-end communication is converted into point-to-point communication through the first relay terminal, so that when the distance between a sending end and a requesting end is too far, relaying may be performed on a communication link between the first remote terminal and the second remote terminal through the first relay terminal, so as to realize end-to-end communication.

USER PLANE PROTOCOL DESIGN FOR NEW RADIO (NR) SIDELINK DISCOVERY MESSAGE

Aspects of the disclosure relate to discovery in a wireless communication network. According to one aspect, a user equipment (UE) may determine to use a service associated with a sidelink communication, determine a contents of a discovery message including an indication of the message being the discovery message for the service, and determine a sidelink resource for use to transmit the discovery message. The UE may then transmit over a user plane using the determined sidelink resource the discovery message including the indication of the message being the discovery message for the service. Other aspects, embodiments, and features are also claimed and described.

Discovery channel for unlicensed frequency band

This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer-readable media, for advertising operating channels that are being operated in an unlicensed frequency band. One or more access points (APs) may transmit discovery information on a dedicated discovery channel for the unlicensed frequency band. The discovery information may indicate at least one operating channel that is being used by an AP for providing wireless access. The discovery information also may include other information useful for a station (STA) to discover APs, operating channels, and operating parameters. The STA may monitor the dedicated discovery channel to obtain the discovery information without conducting an active scanning or passive scanning procedure.

OPERATION METHOD OF UE RELATED TO SYSTEM INFORMATION AND SIDELINK RELAY IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
20230217518 · 2023-07-06 ·

An embodiment relates to an operation method of a relay user equipment (UE) related to a sidelink relay in a wireless communication system, the method comprising: receiving, by a relay UE, a system information-related request from a remote UE; and transmitting, by the relay UE, system information to the remote UE, wherein the system information is obtained by the relay UE from a base station on the basis of the system information-related request.

METHODS AND APPARATUS OF A USER EQUIPMENT FOR SUBSEQUENT TRANSMISSION IN INACTIVE STATE IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION

A user equipment (UE) device including an antenna, a memory, a RF circuitry commutatively coupled to the antenna, and a processor configured to perform operations is described. In an exemplary embodiment, the operations include receiving a Radio Resource Control (RRC) release message from a base station, wherein the RRC release message comprises a suspend configuration to transition the UE to an RRC_INACTIVE state. In addition, the operations include entering the RRC_INACTIVE state. The operations include performing, while the UE is in the RRC_INACTIVE state, an initial data transmission without transitioning from the RRC_INACTIVE state to a RRC_CONNECTED state. Additionally, the operations include monitoring a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) for a UE dedicated scheduling for a transmission or reception of a subsequent data during an active period, while the UE is in the RRC INACTIVE state. Further, the operations include performing the transmission or reception of the subsequent data based on the monitoring of the PDCCH.
