Method for Determining Transmit Power in Coverage Enhancement Scenario and Device
20200145938 · 2020-05-07 ·

A method includes: obtaining, by a terminal, configuration information, wherein the configuration information comprises a maximum quantity of signal transmitting attempts corresponding to each coverage enhancement level; determining, by the terminal according to the obtained configuration information, a transmit power used for transmitting the signal at a coverage enhancement level currently used by the terminal; and transmitting the signal using the determined transmit power.

PARTITIONING METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PARTITIONING A PLURALITY OF WIRELESS ACCESS POINTS INTO MANAGEMENT CLUSTERS
20200137661 · 2020-04-30 · ·

The partitioning method includes determining for each access point of access points a centrality parameter based on the obtained neighbour information, and partitioning access points into a first management cluster and at least one further management cluster by including in the first management cluster a first access point as a primary member, the first access point having the highest centrality parameter, and any neighbouring access point of the first access point as a secondary member; and for each further access point of points except the first access point, in order of descending centrality parameter, forming a further management cluster by including in the further management cluster the respective further access point as the primary member and, as one of the secondary members, any neighbouring access point sensed by the respective further access point which has not been included as one of the secondary members in another management cluster.

Community Wi-Fi network joined access point configuration

Various technologies described herein pertain to configuring an access point in a local network for operation in a community Wi-Fi network. The community Wi-Fi network includes access points in differing local networks that share respective network bandwidth capacities with member computing devices of the community Wi-Fi network. A request to join the access point to the community Wi-Fi network is transmitted from the access point to a community aggregation system. Responsive to the request, the community aggregation system transmits a firmware update to the access point. The access point installs the firmware update in memory of the access point. Moreover, responsive to installation of the firmware update, the access point can share network bandwidth capacity with the member computing devices of the community Wi-Fi network. Further, the community aggregation system supports transparent handoffs between access points in to the community Wi-Fi network.

Access control in a network comprising network slices

A method to enable network slice aware access control in a wireless communication system. In some embodiments, the method includes adding network slice configuration information (NSCI) to the system information (SI) (e.g., System Information Block (SIB)) that is broadcast over the air interface (e.g. the LTE/NX air interface).

GEOFENCED MESH NETWORK COMMUNICATION

A mesh network includes a source node and non-source nodes. The source node generates geofenced message information defining a geofenced message for one or more non-source nodes within a geofence. The source node transmits the geofenced message information for reception by a non-source node within a communication range of the source node. The non-source node, responsive to receiving the geofenced message information, transmits the geofenced message information for reception by other non-source nodes within a communication range of the non-source node. Based on the location of the non-source node being within the geofence, the non-source node presents the geofenced message. Based on the location of the non-source node being within the geofence, the non-source node does not presents the geofenced message.
