Systems and methods for geofence security
Systems and methods for geofence information delivery are disclosed. A multiplicity of devices constructed and configured in network communication in a region of interest via a peer-to-peer network. The multiplicity of devices store cached geofence information for the region of interest. The multiplicity of devices on the peer-to-peer network are operable to convert between an IP address and a geographic location. Each of the multiplicity of devices is operable to query peer devices on the peer-to-peer network for geofences associated with an IP address or a geographic location. At least one peer device is operable to deliver one or more geofences associated with the IP address to the querying device via zero-configuration networking or web service.

METHOD FOR PERFORMING DATA TRANSMISSION BY TWO TERMINAL DEVICES AND APPARATUS
This application provides a method for performing data transmission by two terminal devices and an apparatus, so that only a spectrum resource needs to be occupied or fewer spectrum resources need to be occupied, and fewer spectrum resources are consumed, thereby helping alleviate a strain on spectrum resources. The method includes: A first core network device determines that a first terminal and a second terminal are in a mutual backup relationship. The first core network device sends pairing indication information to a base station, where the pairing indication information indicates that the first terminal and the second terminal are in the mutual backup relationship.

Method for transmitting reference signal, network device, and terminal device
Disclosed are a method for transmitting a reference signal, a network device, and a terminal device. The method comprises: the network device determines target resources for transmitting the reference signal, the target resource being some of transmission resources which can be used for transmitting the reference signal, and the target resources comprising at least one of frequency domain resources, time domain resources, and space domain resources; the network device transmits the reference signal to the terminal device on the target resources. According to the method for transmitting the reference signal, the network device, and the terminal device of embodiments of the present invention, energy saving of the network device can be realized, and meanwhile, interference between cells is avoided.
BEAM DIRECTION ASSISTED PAGING IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION
Beam-related paging assistance information can be exchanged between a core network, radio access networks, and user equipment. Beam-related paging assistance information can enable more efficient paging operations at a base station. A centralized unit (CU) of a base station can exchange beam-related paging assistance information with a distributed unit (DU) of the base station to facilitate paging operations using the beam-related paging assistance information.
Paging on an open spectrum
A method comprises transmitting, to a terminal (101), at least one synchronization signal burst (150) in a time-limited channel access interval (405) of an open spectrum (409). The method further comprises transmitting, to the terminal (101), at least one paging signal (4004, 4005) in the channel access interval (405) of the open spectrum (409).
Communication method, apparatus, and system for determining a target user plan function entity
A communication method, an apparatus, and a system in which a first session management function entity based on information of a terminal group determines user plane function entities accessed by terminals in a terminal group, and the first session management function entity determines a target user plane function entity based on the user plane function entities, where the target user plane function entity is used to perform communication between terminals in the terminal group. According to the method, the terminals in the terminal group are redirected to a same user plane function entity, namely, the target user plane function entity, so that communication between the terminals in the terminal group is locally implemented in the target user plane function entity. This shortens a communication path, and reduces a communication latency.
Method and system for handling service request procedure in communication network
The present disclosure relates to a communication method and system for converging a 5th-Generation (5G) communication system for supporting higher data rates beyond a 4th-Generation (4G) system with a technology for Internet of Things (IoT). The present disclosure may be applied to intelligent services based on the 5G communication technology and the IoT-related technology, such as smart home, smart building, smart city, smart car, connected car, health care, digital education, smart retail, security and safety services. The method includes configuring, by a User Equipment (UE) (100), a Protocol Data Unit (PDU) session type as an always-ON type or a normal PDU type. Further, the method includes sending, by the UE (100), a PDU session establishment request message including the PDU session type to be the always-ON type or the normal PDU type to a network (200) during an initial PDU session establishment procedure.
Multi-cell notification zone single frequency network paging and mobility
Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may operate in a radio resource control (RRC) inactive state of a discontinuous reception (DRX) mode. The UE may receive one or more synchronization signal blocks (SSBs) over a serving single frequency network (SFN) for a first notification zone, wherein the first notification zone comprises a plurality of cells. The UE may perform a channel measurement procedure using the received one or more SSBs. The UE may determine, based at least in part on a result of the channel measurement procedure, that a channel performance metric for the serving SFN of the first notification zone fails to satisfy a threshold. The UE may perform a cell reselection procedure to identify a cell of a neighboring SFN for a second notification zone that has a channel performance metric satisfying the threshold.
