CHANNEL DETECTION METHOD AND APPARATUS, AND USER EQUIPMENT

A channel detection method and apparatus, a device and a user equipment are disclosed. The method includes: receiving, by a UE, a paging indication signal transmitted by a network device, where the paging indication signal is used for instructing the UE whether to detect a paging downlink control channel in K POs, the K POs are K POs after the paging indication signal is received, and K is a positive integer.

SYSTEM INFORMATION ACQUISITION AND PAGING FOR USER EQUIPMENT WITH MULTIPLE UNIVERSAL SUBSCRIBER IDENTITY MODULES

A radio apparatus communicating with a first and a second network, and having a first connection to the first network, may receive a page from the second network and determine to form a second connection with the second network, and notify the first network of the selection. The first network may then notify the apparatus to release or suspend the first connection. The apparatus may send release and/or suspension preferences to the first network, such as a preference to be treated in an idle or inactive mode, paging preferences, and a preferred identifier of the apparatus. The apparatus may then form the second connection, and monitor for paging from the first network, e.g., during a given paging occasion and paging frame.

A wireless device performs a method for updating a stored configuration. While in a power saving state, the wireless device monitors a paging channel. When the wireless device receives a paging message on the paging channel, it determines whether the paging channel includes a message relating to updating a stored configuration of the wireless device. If the paging channel includes a message relating to updating the stored configuration of the wireless device, the wireless device performs actions determined by said message.

Sidelink Paging for a Wireless Device

A technique for power saving for a wireless device, the technique including determining, by a first wireless device, a set of resources for communicating directly with a second wireless device the set of resources including a first set of paging resources, establishing a sidelink session with the second wireless device based on the set of resources, entering, by the first wireless device, a reduced power state, monitoring, by the first wireless device and based on the paging schedule, the first set of paging resources, receiving, from the second wireless device, a paging message, exiting the reduced power state based on the received paging message, and monitoring, based on the received paging message, the set of resources.

FAST CONNECTION RELEASE AFTER PAGING RESPONSE

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a base station associated with a first radio access network (RAN) may transmit, and a user equipment (UE) may receive, a paging message while the UE is operating in an inactive or idle mode on the first RAN and while the UE is operating in a connected mode on a second RAN. The UE may transmit a response rejecting the paging message to the base station associated with the first RAN, and the response may include information that causes the base station to release the UE to the inactive or idle mode. Accordingly, the base station may transmit, to the UE, a radio resource control message that includes information to release the UE to the inactive or idle mode on the first RAN. Numerous other aspects are provided.

A communication device, computer program product, and method proactively implement a successful transmit antenna configuration to address antenna outages for multiple transmit carrier scenarios. A carrier of the communication device determines a first transmit carrier, of at least two transmit carriers of a multiple transmit carrier mode, that is identified as having priority among the at least two transmit carriers. The controller identifies one or more transmit antenna configurations in the transmit antenna configuration data that support the first transmit carrier. The carrier determining, for each transmit antenna configuration, an aggregate antenna outage metric that indicates the transmit performance for a corresponding transmit antenna configuration. The controller configures an antenna switching network and RF frontend of a communication subsystem of the communication device with a first transmit antenna configuration that has a better aggregate antenna outage metric than other antenna configurations.
