METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR TRANSMITTING APERIODIC CHANNEL STATE INFORMATION IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
A method is provided for receiving aperiodic channel state information (CSI). A base station (BS) transmits, to a user equipment (UE), an uplink downlink control information (DCI) format. The BS receives, from the UE, aperiodic CSI through a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) if the BS triggers an aperiodic CSI report using a CSI request field included in the uplink DCI format. The CSI request field is either a 1-bit field or a multi-bit field. When the UE is configured with only one cell, the 1-bit field is included in the uplink DCI. When the UE is configured with more than one channel state information-reference signal (CSI-RS), the multi-bit field is included in the uplink DCI.
EFFICIENT TRANSMISSION OF A RESPONSE SIGNAL FOR A RANDOM ACCESS PREAMBLE TRANSMITTED FROM LEGACY OR EXTENSION CARRIER CAPABLE DEVICES
In order to provide a transmission device and transmission method with which a response signal for random access preamble transmitted from a preamble transmission device is efficiently transmitted, setting unit in base station sets a first resource candidate group, which enables terminal capable of receiving a latch response transmitted by demodulation reference signal (DMRS) transmission to be selected, and a second resource candidate group, which enables terminal incapable of receiving a latch response transmitted by DMRS transmission but capable of receiving a latch response transmitted by cell-specific reference signal (CRS) transmission to be selected. Control unit selects DMRS transmission as the latch response transmission method when a resource in which latch preamble has been received is included in the first candidate group, but selects CRS transmission as the latch response transmission method when the resource is included in the second resource candidate group.
ENHANCED UPLINK AND DOWNLINK POWER CONTROL FOR LTE TDD EIMTA
A method, an apparatus, and a computer program product for wireless communication are provided. The apparatus determines an interference type between a time division duplex (TDD) configuration subframe of a serving cell and a corresponding TDD configuration subframe of a neighboring cell, and sets a transmit power for an apparatus in the serving cell based on the interference type. The apparatus in the serving cell may be a user equipment (UE), in which case the apparatus applies a set of uplink (UL) open loop power control parameters for the UE. The apparatus in the serving cell may be a base station (eNB), in which case a DL transmit power is set for the eNB. Depending on the interference type, the DL transmit power may be a fixed, full power DL transmission or an adjusted DL transmission.
Access Management of a Communication Device in a Cellular Network
A method of managing an access attempt for accessing a cellular network (82) is described. The method is performed by a communication device (40) and comprises sending (84), to a radio network node (60) of the cellular network (82), an access request message for requesting access to the cellular network (82), and receiving (88), from the radio network node (60), an access response message for the access request message. The access response message comprises a wait indication indicating to wait for a resumption indication before resuming the access attempt. The resumption indication indicates to resume the access attempt, and the method also comprises, in response to the received wait indication, waiting (90) to resume the access attempt. The communication device (40) is in an idle mode and the access response message is received after a random access response message. Alternatively, the communication device (40) is in a connected mode and the resumption indication is received via a physical downlink control channel. Therefore load control of load associated with the access attempt of the communication device (40) may be accomplished in a fast, easy and flexible way.
HANDOVER METHOD AND APPARATUS
The present application discloses handover methods and apparatuses. One specific embodiment of the handover method comprises receiving a handover request message from a source base station by a target base station; determining whether to add a secondary base station for setting up a dual-connectivity for a user equipment (UE) according to the handover request message; and performing a handover operation and a dual-connectivity setup operation in response to the determination of adding the secondary base station. The dual-connectivity can be set up for the UE during the handover in the embodiments.
Method and apparatus of communication between terminal and base station, and network access method and apparatus of a terminal
Embodiments of the present application provide a method and apparatus of communication between a terminal and a base station. The communication method between a terminal and a base station performed by the terminal includes: sending, by the terminal, a network access request frame with a first preamble to a relay device. The relay device may be configured to receive the network access request frame according to the first preamble, send the network access request frame with a second preamble to the base station, and receive a network access response frame returned by the base station. The length of the second preamble may be smaller than that of the first preamble. The communication method may further includes receiving, by the terminal, the network access response frame sent by the relay device.
User equipment, network node and methods therein for handling preamble transmissions on a random access channel in a radio communications network
The embodiments herein relate to a user equipment (121) and a method performed by the UE (121) for performing preamble transmissions, on a random access channel, to a network node (110). The method comprising: determining (801) a starting subframe for the preamble transmissions based on at least a system frame number (SFN), a number of times (R) the preamble transmissions is to be repeated and a random access channel configuration, and transmitting (802), to the network node (121) the preamble repeatedly starting in the determined starting subframe. The embodiments herein also relate to a network node (110) and a method performed by the network node (110).
Systems and methods for dynamic prioritized transmission and receipt of data packets to and from a radio access network during an attach procedure
A user equipment (UE) may receive, during release from a radio access network (RAN), resource information associated with attaching to the RAN, wherein the resource information is received based on the device being authenticated. The UE may store the resource information in a data structure associated with the UE, and may receive, when the UE includes a payload of data packets to transmit to the RAN, a signal from the RAN. The UE may determine, based on the signal, whether the RAN is a same RAN that provided the resource information, and may determine whether a strength of the signal from the RAN satisfies a threshold when the RAN is the same RAN that provided the resource information. The UE may attach to the RAN when the strength of the signal satisfies the threshold, and may provide the payload to the RAN via a random access channel of the RAN.
Signal transmission power adjustment in a wireless device
Wireless communications are described. A wireless device may be configured to transmit a first signal via a first cell group that may overlap in time with a second signal via a second cell group. The wireless device may adjust a signal transmission power of at least one of the first signal or the second signal. Additionally or alternatively, the wireless device may drop at least one of the first signal or the second signal. Adjusting and/or dropping at least one of the first signal or the second signal may be based on the overlap in time of these signals satisfying a duration threshold and a total power to transmit the first signal and the second signal exceeding a power threshold.
Information transmission method and information transmission device
An information transmission method can be applied to a user equipment, and include: when a beam failure recovery procedure is initiated for a first cell, initiating random access to a base station through a second cell, wherein the second cell is the first cell or another cell other than the first cell; and if the number of times random access is initiated without being able to complete the random access reaches a preset number, transmitting to the base station indication information for a problem existing in a cell group where the second cell is located, wherein the indication information is used to indicate that the cause for the problem existing in the cell group is the failure of random access caused by the initiation of the beam failure recovery procedure.
