The inventive subject matter provides a system and a method for automatically controlling appliances via a mechanical controller. In one aspect of the invention, the system includes a first circuitry communicatively coupled with one or more sensors and configured to generate a motor controlling signal based in part on a reading from the sensor. The system also includes a mechanical device in contact with a lever of the mechanical controller. The system also includes a second circuitry configured to cause the mechanical device to move the lever as a function of the signal received from the first circuitry to control the appliance.

POWERING AN AUXILIARY CIRCUIT ASSOCIATED WITH A LUMINAIRE

An auxiliary power system for powering an auxiliary circuit is connected to the same power source that powers the lighting element within a luminaire. The auxiliary power system may be connected to the output of the power source in series or in parallel with the lighting element. The power source may be an LED driver and the lighting element may include one or more LEDs or the power source may be an electronic ballast and the lighting element may be one or more fluorescent lamps.

LIGHT FIXTURE

A light fixture includes a housing having a first portion and a second portion. The light fixture further includes a first light emitting element supported within the first portion of the housing, and a second light emitting element supported within the second portion of the housing. The second light emitting element is controlled such that the second light emitting element provides a different color than the first light emitting element.

Method for trailer lighting recognition

A method for trailer lighting recognition by a control unit for trailer lighting control of a towing vehicle, in particular for trailer lighting recognition during or after the coupling of the trailer to the towing vehicle, wherein the control unit has, for each light of the trailer lighting system, a voltage supply connection that is connected by an actuator to a voltage supply of the towing vehicle in order to switch on the light of the trailer associated with the voltage supply connection.

Countertop Decontaminating Device

The present invention disinfects countertop surfaces using high intensity ultraviolet energy causing photolysis. The light is directed to the working area of an office countertop or the countertop used in food preparation such as in a residential or commercial kitchen. A motion detector provides a mechanism for disabling the light should a pet or individual enter an area during the disinfection process. The device further includes at least one light-emitting diode (LED) or multiple LEDs allowing dual functionality wherein the device can provide conventional countertop lighting or disinfection lighting.

Multi-view architectural lighting system

A multi-view architectural lighting (MVAL) system includes one or more multi-view lighting units (“MV lights”) in which the apparent brightness and color of each MV light is individually and simultaneously controllable for different viewing angles. The MV lights can be pointed in arbitrary directions and installed in arbitrary locations in 3D space with respect to one another, consistent with the structure of a building, etc. This enables a lighting designer to create differentiated lighting experiences for different viewers based on their viewing angle with respect to the MV lights. A calibration system maps viewing locations to emitted light directions for each MV light. Using this information, the appearance of each MV light from a given viewing location relative to that MV light is set by adjusting the light (e.g., typically color and intensity, etc.) emitted in the corresponding direction/directions.

A lighting device and assembly which incorporating an independently powered array of at least two types of LED lights that each give off specific wavelengths of light for growing plants. The assembly includes at least two of the lighting devices in conjunction with at least one high intensity bulb commonly used for indoor horticulture, where the assembly is adjustable for dimensional changes in the subject plants as they grow. A timing method for applying specific durations of each type of light which effectively simulate sunrise, daylight and sunset by allowing the plant to awaken naturally, absorb more light during the day and prepare for sleep at night, giving the plant more rest—all leading to more healthy plant growth.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS TO MANAGE THEMES IN LIGHTING MODULES
20220039221 · 2022-02-03 ·

A lighting system includes lighting fixtures and a lighting controller that sends commands and data over an AC power line to power and control the lighting fixtures. Lighting themes are uniquely programmable color and intensity that are applied to a collection of lighting groups to achieve different lighting modes instantly, without the delay that programming each lighting fixture individually incurs. The groups of lighting modules receive theme lighting information over the power line and store the theme information in memory. The lighting controller sends a single command to the collections of the lighting groups to apply the theme or a multiple of themes to run in sequence as a pattern. Each lighting module retrieves and applies the theme information associated with the pattern.
