Display device and manufacturing method thereof
When a base film used in a flexible display panel is bonded to a resin member for fixing the base film that is curved, the base film has creases by an environmental change such as temperature due to difference in linear expansion coefficient before and after a thermal shock. A buffer plate that is thin enough to be bent is provided between the base film used in a flexible display panel and the resin member. With the use of heat dissipation effect and heat equalization effect of the buffer plate, a structure around the panel capable of resisting the environmental change can be provided.
Power generation system including power generating device and capacitor, and capable of storing energy of generated electric power with reducing waste energy
A power generation system includes: at least one power generating device generating electric power by rotation of an input shaft; and a power storage circuit including at least one capacitor and storing energy of the electric power generated by the power generating device. The power storage circuit has a capacitance equal to or near an energy-maximizing capacitance, the energy-maximizing capacitance indicating a capacitance maximizing an upper limit energy in characteristics of energy to capacitance, the characteristics being calculated as the upper limit energy to be stored in the power storage circuit, with respect to the capacitance of the power storage circuit. The characteristics of energy to capacitance are calculated based on: the capacitance of the power storage circuit, an electromotive force of the power generating device, an internal resistance of the power generating device, and a duration of one power generating action of the power generating device.
Illuminating device and wearable object with lighting function
An illuminating device includes an illuminating component set, a controlling circuit coupled to the illuminating component set, and a communication circuit electrically coupled to the controlling circuit. The controlling circuit further includes a storage and a processor electrically connected to the storage. The communication circuit is configured for receiving a picture transmitted by an input device and storing the picture into the storage. The processor selectively drives the illuminating component set to emit light according to a controlling signal and the picture. The illuminating device can be configured on a wearable object, so that the wearable object can be controlled to emit light by the input device.
SETTING DEVICE, CONTROL DEVICE, AND RECORDING MEDIUM USED WITH MANIPULATION DEVICE FOR CONTROLLING APPLIANCE
A setting device sets a manipulation device that transmits a wireless signal for controlling an appliance when the manipulation device accepts manipulation from a manipulator. An input unit receives first identification information, second identification information, and registration information. An authentication unit performs an authentication process on the registration information received. An output unit outputs a combination of the first identification information and the second identification information received when the authentication process is successful. The wireless signal transmitted from the manipulation device includes the first identification information, the second identification information, and command information.
POWER-OVER-ETHERNET (PoE) CONTROL SYSTEM
A method that may be used for power-over-Ethernet includes generating and sending a first pulse of a voltage signal during a classification phase, receiving a current that is responsive to the first pulse, and determining a nominal power of a powered device (PD) from the current. The method also includes generating and sending a quantity of pulses of the voltage signal subsequent to the first pulse during the classification phase, the quantity of pulses including a command to operate the PD at less than the nominal power level during an operational phase subsequent to the classification phase.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR CONTEXTUAL INTELLIGENCE USING NETWORKED DEVICES
Multipurpose systems can include networked devices configured to include microphones, motion sensors, video cameras, touchscreens, optical sensors, speakers, or other suitable devices. The networked devices can include networking capabilities that enable the networked device to communicate with target devices and other networked devices. A system of networked devices can identify a target location or a target device by analyzing audio signals received at microphones of the networked devices. For example, a plurality of networked devices can identify a particular networked device that is in closest proximity to a user by analyzing an audio intensity of an audio signal received at the plurality of networked devices. The identified networked device can serve as a master device that can control a state of target devices.

SURGICAL LIGHT HEAD WITH BEAM SPREADING AND ADJUSTABLE POWER BALANCING
A light head for a medical device support system. The light head includes first and second zones of light sources, an optical system, and a control system. The first and second zones of light sources emit respective first and second beams of light that form an illumination pattern having a pattern size at a region of interest. The optical system adjusts a beam spread of the second beam of light to change the pattern size of the illumination pattern from a first pattern size to a second pattern size. The control system varies power to the first and second zones of light sources in response to adjustment of the beam spread of the second beam of light to maintain a substantially constant magnitude of illuminance at the region of interest as the pattern size is changed from the first pattern size to the second pattern size.
