PNEUMATIC COMPRESSION SYSTEMS AND METHODS
Disclosed herein are systems for applying pneumatic compression to a portion of a body comprising: a wrap comprising at least two air bladders; and a control unit. The control unit is configured to control the air pressure in the at least two air bladders. The control unit includes an electro-mechanically autonomous system configured to achieve synchronization between the wrap and one or more additional wraps.
CRYOTHERAPY DEVICE
The present invention relates to a device for manipulating core body temperature of a human subject by convection and conduction, the device comprising: an open topped liquid carrier vessel adapted to receive a liquid, the liquid carrier vessel having an inlet and an outlet in the base thereof; a removable splash guard for covering the majority of the liquid carrier vessel opening and for resting thereon of a human extremity having an exposed glabrous skin surface; chiller means for cooling liquid received in the vessel and for maintaining the liquid at a predetermined temperature; a jet in the vessel inlet for discharging liquid, or a combination of liquid and air into the liquid carrier vessel; an air valve for controlling the amount of air flowing through the jet; a pump configured to suck liquid from the liquid carrier vessel via the vessel outlet into a suction side of the pump and propel liquid out of a pressure side of the pump into the liquid carrier vessel through the vessel inlet via the chiller means to create a jet stream within the liquid carrier vessel at the predetermined temperature; first conduit means interconnecting the vessel outlet with the suction side of the pump; second conduit means interconnecting the chiller means with the pressure side of the pump; third conduit means interconnecting the chiller means with the jet; and fourth conduit means interconnecting the jet with the air valve; wherein the splash guard is provided with an aperture to allow the jet stream to contact the exposed glabrous skin surface of the subject during operation of the device; and wherein when the splash guard is in place, the aperture is located directly above the jet.
CONTINUOUS AND PULSED AIR MASSAGER
An air massager includes an air flow generator having an output, a nozzle in fluid communication with the output, and a pulsed air generator located between the output and the nozzle. Operation of the pulsed air generator alternately allows and restricts air flow from the output to the nozzle. A method of operating the massager is also provided.
CHEST WALL THERAPY GARMENT
Devices, systems, and methods for High Frequency Chest Wall Oscillation therapy can include a therapy garment including a covering garment for dressing on a patient's torso, the covering garment including a bladder pocket defined between inward and outward layers, and a fluid bladder arranged within the bladder pocket. The fluid bladder can define a pressurizable chamber adapted to receive pressurized fluid to provide force of high frequency pressure oscillation to a patient's chest wall. The pressurizable chamber can be formed to define an outer profile shaped to correspond closely with the patient's rib cage profile to reduce transfer of force of high frequency chest oscillation to the patient's torso outside of the patient's rib cage profile.
Infant Burping Assembly
An infant burping assembly includes a belt that is longitudinally elongated for wearing around an infant's torso. An inflation unit is integrated into the belt and the inflation unit is repeatedly inflated and deflated when the inflation unit is turned on. In this way the inflation unit repeatedly engages the infant's back for burping the infant. A heating element is integrated into the belt to warm the infant when the heating element is turned on. A vibration unit is integrated into the belt to massage the infant when the vibration unit is turned on. A remote control is provided and the remote control is in remote communication with each of the inflation unit, the heating element and the vibration unit for turning each of the inflation unit, the heating element and the vibration unit on and off.
Compression therapy device with multiple simultaneously active chambers
Pneumatic and therapeutic compression systems are disclosed including treatment protocols that may be used with such systems. A pneumatic compression system may include a source and sink of a pressurizing fluid. The pressurizing fluid may be sourced to a number of valves, each valve controllable by a control device including a computing device. The computing device may control each valve separately to allow any one or more of the valves to connect to the fluid source or the fluid sink. The computing device may include one or more therapeutic protocols that may direct one, two, or more valves to switch between fluid sourcing and fluid sinking, substantially simultaneously or in a sequence. A therapeutic compression system may include the pneumatic system in fluid communication with an inflation sleeve composed of multiple cells. Each cell may be inflated or deflated by a valve according to the therapeutic protocol.
SLEEVE-BASED BODY TEMPERATURE REGULATION
A heating system comprises a wearable sleeve, a first heating pad associated with a first portion of the wearable sleeve, a second heating pad associated with a second portion of the wearable sleeve, one or more temperature sensors associated with the wearable sleeve, and control circuitry communicatively coupled to the first heating pad, the second heating pad, and the one or more temperature sensors. The control circuitry is configured to receive one or more temperature signals from the one or more temperature sensors, determine a temperature associated with a patient based on the one or more temperature signals, determine that the temperature is less than a target temperature value, and at least partly in response to said determining that the temperature is less than the target temperature value, activate at least one of the first heating pad or the second heating pad.
Chair-type massager
An armrest portion of a chair-type massager includes a side wall disposed generally upright at either of the left and right sides of a seat portion. An air bag configured to press the thighs of a treated person is provided on a seat side face which is the side face of the armrest portion facing the seat portion along the left-right axis. The seat side face includes a side face of the side wall facing the seat portion and an installation face. The installation face, at least when the air bag is inflated, inclines the further to the seat portion side along the left-right axis the higher up. At least part of the air bag is provided on the installation face.
Communication robot and method for operating the same
A communication robot for operating a massage providing apparatus by executing an artificial intelligence algorithm (AI) and/or machine learning algorithm in a 5G environment connected for the Internet of things and a method for operating the communication robot are provided. The method for operating the communication robot may include acquiring a spoken utterance of a user positioned within a prescribed range from the massage providing apparatus, tracking a spoken utterance direction of the user from the spoken utterance of the user, orienting the communication robot towards the spoken utterance direction of the user, acquiring a voice command included in the spoken utterance in relation to operation of the massage providing apparatus, and operating the massage providing apparatus according to the voice command.
