The present disclosure relates to a houseboat assembly formed from a cabin assembly secured to a hull assembly. In some version of the houseboat assembly, the hull assembly may include a runoff flange. The runoff flange may include an inner flange, an outer flange, and a riser extending between the inner flange and the outer flange. The outer flange may extend along an imaginary longitudinal outer flange axis and the riser may extend along an imaginary longitudinal riser axis whereby the riser axis intersects the outer flange axis at an angle. In some versions of the houseboat assembly, the angle is an acute angle. More specifically, the angle may be between thirty and sixty degrees. In some versions of the houseboat assembly, the cabin assembly is secured to the inner flange of the runoff flange. Cross-members and deck boards may be secured to a roof of the cabin assembly.

Temperature control based on weather forecasting
11536253 · 2022-12-27 · ·

According to an embodiment, a method of controlling a temperature of a blade includes generating a first power production curve based on current weather conditions and generating a second power production curve based on future weather conditions. The method also includes, in response to determining that the second power production curve reduces a net power production loss of the blade more than the first power production curve, adjusting a heating cycle of the blade based on the second power production curve rather than the first power production curve.

Individual pitch control for wind turbines

A method of controlling pitch of individual blades in a wind turbine is described, together with a suitable controller. Wind speed is determined as a function of azimuthal angle. Wind speed is then predicted for individual blades over a prediction horizon using this determination of wind speed as a function of azimuthal angle. The predicted wind speed for each individual blade is used in a performance function, which is optimized to control individual blade pitches.

Water and Land-Based Modular System for Environmentally Versatile Housing, Shelter and Commercial Use
20220385786 · 2022-12-01 ·

A sustainable floating and land application community based on a mass-produced modular, pre-fabricated kit of parts referred to as floating modular units (FMU) or land module units (LMU). Both modular units are designed to allow for various needs while remaining simple to deliver and assemble by hand in remote destinations prone to volatile shifts in water levels and currents. Both floating and land module units can be erected for use on land and bodies of water.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR LOAD AND SOURCE FORECASTING FOR INCREASING ELECTRICAL GRID COMPONENT LONGEVITY
20220376499 · 2022-11-24 ·

A system and method for optimizing power grid operations and enhancing the life of switching components therein is provided. Current meteorological information of a region of operation of the power grid is collected during operation thereof, along with historical meteorological data of the region. A plurality of prediction models are executed using the current meteorological information and/or the historical meteorological data and a meteorological parameter of the region is forecast by selectively combining outputs of at least some of the executed prediction models, the meteorological parameter being a parameter that causes a renewable energy source in the power grid to generate power. The forecasted meteorological parameter is compensated with physical models and the historical meteorological data, and optimal switching operations of switching components in the power grid are computed based on the compensated forecasted meteorological parameter, with the switching components being controlled based on the computed optimal switching operations.

A case for an electronic cigarette vaporiser, the case including an automatic lifting mechanism that lifts the vaporiser up a few mm from the case to enable a user to easily grasp the vaporiser and withdraw it from the case. The lifting mechanism can be spring-based. The case both re-fills the vaporiser with liquid and also re-charges a battery in the vaporiser.

COMPOSITE CABLE

A composite cable is provided with a coaxial wire and an insulated wire. The coaxial wire includes a center conductor, a first insulation covering the center conductor, and plural outer conductors arranged on an outer periphery of the first insulation, and a jacket covering the plural outer conductors. The insulated wire includes a stranded conductor including plural strands twisted together, and a second insulation covering the stranded conductor. The center conductor of the coaxial wire is a single wire. A conductor diameter of the center conductor is not more than a wire diameter of each of the plural strands of the insulated wire.

Method and apparatus for self-adaption of a cut-out strategy

The present disclosure provides a method and an apparatus for self-adaption of a cut-out strategy. The method may include: predicting, using a wind speed prediction model, a wind resource parameter of a wind turbine at each machine location; predicting, using a load prediction model, a fatigue load and a limit load of the wind turbine based on the predicted wind resource parameter and an air density; comparing the predicted fatigue load and limit load with a reference load; and determining the cut-out strategy based on a result of the comparison, wherein determining the cut-out strategy includes determining a cut-out wind speed and an output power.

NOISE SUPPRESSION TAPE

A noise suppression tape is provided with a tape-shaped insulator, a sticky layer, and a conductive layer.

In the sticky layer, one surface is exposed and the other surface is joined to be fixed to one surface of the insulator. A width of the sticky layer is the same as a width of the insulator. The conductive layer, one surface of which is exposed and flush with the one surface of the sticky layer, is embedded in the sticky layer to be fixed to the sticky layer. A width of the conductive layer is smaller than the width of the sticky layer.
