AGRICULTURAL VEHICLE WITH TINE SUPPORT GUIDES THAT LIMIT DEFLECTION OF A TINE
20240032476 · 2024-02-01 · ·

A pickup assembly for an agricultural vehicle includes: a rotatable reel; a plurality of tine bars coupled to the reel such that rotation of the reel moves the tine bars through a movement path; at least one tine carried by each of the tine bars; and at least one tine support guide carried by at least one of the tine bars. The at least one tine support guide includes at least one slot that allows deflection of the deflectable section of a tine in a first direction and limits deflection of the deflectable section in a second direction that is opposite the first direction.

Windrow fluffing roll assembly for an agricultural machine

A mower-conditioner assembly of a self-propelled windrower includes a frame, a cutting mechanism coupled to the frame for cutting crop, a conditioner rotatably coupled to the frame at a location rearward of the cutting mechanism, and a fluffer assembly rotatably coupled to the frame at a location rearward of the conditioner. The fluffer assembly includes at least an elongated roll and a crop moving element. The conditioner crimps the crop after it is cut, and the fluffer assembly fluffs or moves the crop during operation.

Baler mass flow sensing assembly and method

A crop sensing system for a baler includes a compression system for forming a bale and a feed system for picking up crop from a surface and conveying the crop to the compression system. The crop sensing system includes a sensor arrangement having at least one sensor being coupled to at least one of the compression system or the feed system, wherein the at least one sensor generates a signal corresponding to a crop load on the at least one of the compression system or the feed system. The crop sensing system includes a control unit configured to receive the signal from the sensor arrangement and calculate crop mass data based on at least the signal.

Harvesting tool

A paddle tine for use over a pickup tine previously fixed with a harvester reel tube of a harvesting header comprises an elongated body having a central cavity therethrough and is adapted to slide over the pickup tine of the harvester reel tube. An attachment mechanism, such as a pair of resilient clips, is fixed with the proximal end of the elongated body to secure the paddle tine to the harvester reel tube over the pickup tine. Attachment straps may also be included to further secure the paddle tine to the harvester reel tube. Two opposing paddle webs project laterally away from the elongated body proximate the distal end.

Support Wheels for a Pickup Header

A pickup assembly for an agricultural harvester includes a pickup assembly frame including a forward portion and a rearward portion. A pair of gauge wheels are attached to the forward portion of the pickup assembly frame, and at least one support wheel is attached to the rearward portion of the pickup assembly frame. The relative position of the support wheel is adjustable with respect to the pickup assembly frame.

IMPELLER WITH AUGER FOR AN AGRICULTURAL MACHINE
20190261570 · 2019-08-29 ·

A harvesting header of an agricultural machine includes a frame, a cutting mechanism coupled to the frame and configured to cut crop, an auger rotatably coupled to the frame at a location rearward of the cutting mechanism, and an impeller rotatably coupled to the frame at a location rearward of the auger. The impeller is configured to receive crop from the auger and condition the cut crop. The crop is projected by the auger in a rearward and upward direction relative to the impeller.

Auxiliary power system for an agricultural baler with power output based on plunger duty cycle
10383284 · 2019-08-20 · ·

An agricultural baler includes a main bale chamber, and a plunger reciprocally movable within the main bale chamber through a compression stroke and a return stroke. The plunger has a duty cycle with a maximum power requirement, a minimum power requirement, and an average power requirement over the duty cycle. The baler further includes an auxiliary power system which is configured for transmitting power to the driveline to offset the duty cycle of the plunger and thereby establish a substantially constant power requirement at the driveline.

WINDROW PICKER WITH HOLD-DOWN DEVICES

A windrow picker is equipped with a supporting frame movable in a forward direction across a field. The frame having mounted thereon a pick-up drum, an output conveyor and a first rocker. The first rocker is mounted at its upper, rearward end on the frame so as to be pivotable about a transversely extending axis of rotation. A second rocker is hinged to the first rocker at the lower, front end of the first rocker at a mounting so as to be pivotable about a transversely extending axis. The second rocker supports a front, lower hold-down roller and a rear, upper hold-down roller. The lowest possible position of the second rocker is limited by a stop which cooperates with a counter stop. The counter stop is attached to the frame.

Molded pickup stripper and attachment system for a baler

A baler pickup includes crop strippers looped around a reel. A pickup frame has upper and lower mounting stubs, wherein each of the upper mounting stubs has a notch located centrally in a forward end of the upper mounting stub. A rear end section of an upper leg of each stripper is engaged with a respective upper mounting stub and a rear end section of a lower leg is engaged with a respective lower mounting stub. A distal end of each upper leg has an outer plate separated from an inner plate so as to form a gap. The upper leg has an alignment tab such that when the leg is received on the stub, the tab engages with the notch in the stub. A gap-facing surface of the inner plate has a detent, the upper mounting stub comprises a keyhole opening formed therein rearward of the notch.
