Food Waste Detection Method and System
A system (1) for detecting food related products (2) before thrown away, the system comprising: one or more cameras (11); a display unit (12); a computing device (13) that is communicatively connected to the cameras and the display; and a scale (3) that is communicatively connected to the computing device, the scale holding a trash bin (31), wherein the cameras obtain an image or a video of the products when the products are within a field of view of the cameras and before the products are in the trash bin, the scale configured to weigh the products in the trash bin, and wherein the computing device obtains information about the products from the obtained image or video by applying an image recognition algorithm, receives the weight from the scale and generates and outputs data on the display unit, the data being based on the information about products and the weight.
System having automated route generation and optimization
A system is disclosed for managing waste services by a service vehicle. The system may have a locating device configured to generate a location signal indicative of a location of the service vehicle, a sensor configured to generate a service signal indicative of a waste service being performed by the service vehicle, an input device, and a processing unit in communication with the locating device, the sensor, and the input device. The processing unit may be configured to make a determination that the service vehicle has made a plurality of service stops based on the location and service signals, and to automatically generate at least one service route including the plurality of service stops. The processing unit may also be configured to display the at least one service route and the plurality of service stops on a map in at least one graphical user interface on the input device.
System and method for remote monitoring and control of landfill and recycling operations
A system and method for remote monitoring and control of landfill and recycling operations provide an intelligent centralized platform for remote, real-time industrial data gathering and process control for management of landfill and recycling operations such as leachate, gas, water and other liquids. The system and method can directly upload machine data (such as liquid volumes, flows, level, equipment runtime, sorter data, status, etc) into a centralized platform. This data can be used for analytics and automation of processes and equipment control.
WASTE BIN PLATFORM, WASTE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MANAGING WASTE
A material handling system comprises a bin for holding material. The bin can be removably received within a bin platform that is able to measure a weight of the bin. The bin platform further comprises an electronically controlled covering that is opened to allow material to be placed into the bin, and closed when no further material is to be placed into the bin. The covering can be opened when an account is received, allowing the additional weight of material added to the bin to be associated with the received account.
KIOSK FOR RECYCLING ELECTRONIC DEVICES
A recycling kiosk for recycling and financial remuneration for submission of an electronic device such as a mobile phone is disclosed herein. The recycling kiosk includes electrical connectors and an inspection area with an upper chamber, a lower chamber, a transparent plate and at least one camera in order to perform a visual analysis and an electrical analysis of the electronic device for determination of a value of the electronic device. The recycling kiosk also includes a processor and a display for user interaction.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR RECYCLING ELECTRONIC DEVICES
A recycling kiosk for recycling and financial remuneration for submission of an electronic device is disclosed herein. The recycling kiosk includes an inspection area with preferably two mirrored, domed hemispheres positioned about a transparent table and cameras for imaging an electronic device placed on the table. The recycling kiosk uses visual analysis to identify electronic devices, determine the condition of the electronic device and determine if the electronic device is authentic.
Method and system of processing waste fabrics to rejuvenated fibrous materials
The present invention discloses a method and corresponding system of processing waste fabrics to rejuvenated fibrous materials that will maintain their original quality in downstream production without a loss of downstream manufacturing efficiencies. The method involves (a) obtaining fabric data for each bale of incoming waste fabrics and storing the fabric data in a database; (b) obtaining target data relating to target product requirements; (c) processing the fabric data and the target data according to predetermined algorithms to generate a rejuvenation processing recipe which specifies bales information and rejuvenation processes information; (d) selecting corresponding bales of incoming waste fabrics for further rejuvenation processing; and (e) subjecting the selected bales to processes specified by the rejuvenation processing recipe.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR DETECTING CRACKS IN ELECTRONIC DEVICES
Systems and methods for detecting cracks in an electronic device are disclosed. In one embodiment, the method includes receiving an image of a front side of a mobile device and automatically identifying edges in the image. For given edges among the identified edges, the method includes determining whether another edge among the identified edges is present within a predetermined distance of the given edge. Next, straight line segments corresponding to the edges for which another edge is within the predetermined distance are identified, and then a crack evaluation assessment is assigned to the mobile device based at least in part on the identified straight line segments.
Waste handling system and method
A method and a waste handling system, wherein waste or recyclable material is transported in carrier bags, bags or sack to a disposal point, and from there onwards by a transport vehicle for further processing. An RFID identifier is used in connection with the carrier bag, bag, or sack, or used in waste transport. A closing member is provided with an RFID) identifier used in closing, or as verification of the closing of the carrier bag, bag, sack. A sensor is arranged in connection with, or in the proximity of, a disposal point, such as a waste room, of the waste system. Information read from the RFID identifier by the sensor is transmitted to a control unit, that is fitted to control the waste transport system based on the information given by the RFID identifier.
Real-time analysis of comprehensive cost of all instrumentation used in surgery utilizing data fluidity to track instruments through stocking and in-house processes
Various systems and methods for tracking surgical procedure costs are disclosed. A computer system, such as surgical hub, is configured to be communicably coupled to a plurality of surgical devices. The computer system can be programmed to identify the surgical devices that are being utilized during a surgical procedure via perioperative data received from the surgical devices and then calculate the total cost associated with the surgical devices used in the surgical procedure. The total cost can include an aggregation of the maintenance costs of each of the reusable surgical devices and the replacement costs of the nonreusable surgical devices consumed during the surgical procedure.
