The apparatus may be formed of an inflatable bladder having an interior volume that is pressurized with air. The weight of a user disposed on the upper surfaces of the inflatable bladder may force a portion of the bladder below the surface of the fluid in which the apparatus is floating, such that bubbles are formed when the pressurized gas is allowed to escape the bladder through openings impacting the body of the user. The gas may be heated or may be infused with an aroma.

A device and method for performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on a patient. The device is an extendable airway bridge which is initially in a collapsed or storage configuration. The airway bridge is made of a lightweight, inexpensive material such as high strength cardboard. Upon use, the airway bridge is unfolded and then fixed into an operating configuration through a number of hook and latch fabric portions or an adhesive or glue. Once in the operating configuration, the patient is laid onto the airway bridge which holds the patient in a position so as to prevent occlusion of the patient's oral airway. CPR may then be performed on the patient. After use, the airway bridge may be released and then brought back into the collapsed or storage configuration or, alternatively, simply disposed of.

A method of administering a massage comprising providing a base member with a flexible member coupled to opposite sides of the base member. The base member is rested on top of a support surface so that connection points where the flexible member attaches to the base member are vertically disposed above the support surface. A patient is positioned on the base member and the support surface so that the patient is laying between the opposite sides of the base member. Force is delivered to the patient laying on the base member using a foot of a massage practitioner. The massage practitioner utilizes the flexible member to assist with balance of the massage practitioner while the force is delivered to the patient.
