Low pressure suction treatment incorporating measurement of tissue characteristics
Method for assessing and preferably ameliorating the symptoms of a medical condition, optionally lymphedema, comprising obtaining a preferably both electrically powered and portable treatment apparatus capable of contacting, via a treatment head, a target area on the skin of a patient and introducing low-pressure suction thereto, wherein the apparatus, preferably the treatment head thereof, contains at least one sensor element to measure at least one physiological characteristic regarding the tissue underlying the target area of the patient, preferably indicative of fluid content thereof, and applying the treatment apparatus to the patient to measure said at least one physiological characteristic. A treatment apparatus for executing the method is presented.
NON-INVASIVE FAT REMOVAL
A device for massaging skin, including, a RF generator adapted to generate a radio frequency AC current to heat fat tissue in the adipose layer of the skin, an electrical pulse generator adapted to generate pulses of DC current to provide electrical muscle stimulation for the muscles below the adipose layer, an applicator including one or more heads adapted to be placed in contact with the user's skin; and wherein the heads serve as massage contacts to massage the outer layer of a user's skin above the adipose layer or as electrodes to deliver the AC current and DC current, or as both.
Dissection handpiece and method for reducing the appearance of cellulite
A dermatological skin treatment device is provided. The device comprises a handpiece and a cutting tool, wherein the tool is inserted through the conduit and percutaneously inserted into a tissue disposed within a recessed area of the handpiece. The device and method cut the fibrous structures under the skin that cause cellulite at an angle substantially parallel to the surface of the skin and replace these structures with a non-cellulite forming structure by deploying a highly fibrous mesh through a single needle hole to create a highly fibrous layer directly or through wound healing processes.
Garment designed to reduce cellulite by micro-massage
A garment having at least one sleeve, intended to cover a part of the body of a wearer, the sleeve having at least one region, the inner surface of which is equipped with a network of picots, the sleeve being designed to be able to exert compressive stress from said picots onto the skin of the body part that is intended to be positioned facing said network, the picots each having a trigonal base and being distributed in the network so as to form alveoli between adjacent picots, the sleeve being designed such that the picots can exert pressure on the skin great enough to form a skin protrusion in at least one alveolus in order to micro-massage the protrusion during relative movements taking place between the network and the body part.
ELECTRO-ACTUATABLE COMPRESSION GARMENTS WITH SHAPE MEMORY ELEMENTS
A compression garment having one or more flex frames that can be shortened or lengthened to apply or release a compressive force to the limb or other anatomical feature of a user. The compression garment can have a wire made of shape memory material (shape memory alloy). A controller of the compression garment can supply an electrical input to the wire, generating heat that can cause the wire to contract such that the flex frame deflects to a shorter length to apply a compressive force to the limb or other anatomical feature of the user. The one or more flex frames can be contracted in unison or in sequence to direct the flow of bodily fluids in the limb or other anatomical feature of the user.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR TREATING AND MASSAGING SKIN TISSUE
A device for massaging skin, including, a RF generator adapted to generate a radio frequency AC current to heat the skin tissue, an electrical pulse generator adapted to generate pulses of DC current to provide electrical muscle stimulation for the muscles below the skin tissue, an applicator including one or more heads adapted to be placed in contact with the user's skin; and wherein the heads serve as massage contacts to massage the user's skin by back and forth movement of the massage contacts across the skin tissue and further as electrodes to deliver RF heating and electrical muscle stimulation.
Handpieces for tissue treatment
A dermatological skin treatment device is provided. The device comprises a handpiece and a cutting tool, wherein the tool is inserted through the conduit and percutaneously inserted into a tissue disposed within a recessed area of the handpiece. The device and method cut the fibrous structures under the skin that cause cellulite at an angle substantially parallel to the surface of the skin and replace these structures with a non-cellulite forming structure by deploying a highly fibrous mesh through a single needle hole to create a highly fibrous layer directly or through wound healing processes.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR THE NON-INVASIVE PERSONALIZED TREATMENT OF SKIN BLEMISHES
Device for non-invasive personalized treatment of skin disorders and imperfections, including: a console having recesses suitable for housing handpieces capable of being grasped by an operator to treat a patient's body or face thanks to the vibration generated by an internal cylinder at each handpiece at a predetermined frequency, each cylinder having rotating elements; a vibration adjustment device for each handpiece; an electric energy absorption sensor possibly combined with pressure and/or rpm sensors for each handpiece, suitable for communicating the data detected to a control unit adapted to process the data from the absorption sensors and to act on the frequency regulation devices of each handpiece to obtain an immediate variation of the vibration of the cylinders according to the mechanical resistance offered by the patient's tissue; and a communication interface.
Ultrasound probe for treatment of skin
Methods and systems for treating skin, such as stretch marks through deep tissue tightening with ultrasound are provided. An exemplary method and system comprise a therapeutic ultrasound system configured for providing ultrasound treatment to a shallow tissue region, such as a region comprising an epidermis, a dermis or a deep dermis. In accordance with various exemplary embodiments, a therapeutic ultrasound system can be configured to achieve depth with a conformal selective deposition of ultrasound energy without damaging an intervening tissue. In addition, a therapeutic ultrasound can also be configured in combination with ultrasound imaging or imaging/monitoring capabilities, either separately configured with imaging, therapy and monitoring systems or any level of integration thereof.
