A hay bale transport device facilitates loading and securement of hay bales for transport. The device includes a trailer configured for being coupled to and moved by a vehicle. The trailer has a front end, a back end, and a pair of lateral sides extending between the front end and the back end. Each of a pair of side harnesses extends along an associated one of the lateral sides of the trailer. Each of the side harnesses includes a pair of end bars and a plurality of wires coupled to and extending between the end bars wherein the side harnesses are configured to secure hay bales on the trailer.

A method for unloading a first and a second bale from a round baler onto a field. The round baler includes a bale chamber and a bale holder. The method successively includes steps of: growing the second bale in the bale chamber, while the first bale is carried by the bale holder; unloading the first bale from the bale holder onto the field a period of time before finishing growing the second bale, the first bale defining a first position on the field; finishing growing the second bale; transporting the second bale to the bale holder; and unloading the second bale onto the field. The second bale defines a second position on the field. The period of time is determined such that a distance between the first position and the second position is smaller than a sum of the diameters of the first bale and second bale.

A deployment assembly (38) serves to sequentially pivot the lift conveyor (34) about an upright axis, followed by lateral translation thereof to the central use position. The conveyor (34) can then be rotated and elevated as desired for off-loading of seeds. The tender (20) may also be used for delivery of other types of agricultural particulates.

A hay bale flaking device mountable on a wheeled vehicle such as a trailer is provided. The flaking device employs a ram to translate a hay bale on a ramp, and underneath a cutting blade which at timed intervals cuts flakes of hay from the distal end of the hay bale. The timing and thickness of the flakes may be adjustably controlled. A secondary bale of hay may be carried by the device for positioning upon the ramp subsequent to use of a previous bale to make flakes.

A controller for a movable unloading apparatus of an agricultural harvesting machine, wherein the movable unloading apparatus directs crop material from the agricultural harvesting machine to a container driven in the vicinity of the agricultural harvesting machine, and wherein the controller receives image data representative of a stream of crop material as it passes from the unloading apparatus to the container; processes the image data in order to determine a shape of the stream of crop material in the image data; and sets an attribute of the unloading apparatus in accordance with the determined shape of the stream of crop material in order to direct the crop material from the unloading apparatus to the container.

A bin carrier system that includes a tractor having a maximum width that permits the tractor to navigate between narrow rows of fruit trees and other produce crops such as, for example, dwarf varieties of apple trees. The tractor includes a storage compartment into which multiple produce bins can be collected for transport out of an orchard or field. The tractor can also include an elevated platform on which one or more individuals can stand while the tractor is stationary or mobile. The system can also feature a sensor to detect proximity or contact with a plant. The system can also feature an automatic steering system to guide the tractor between rows of plants.

Integrated banana transport system from the banana plantation to the retail point of sale. The system consists of twelve baskets and a wagon. A bunch of bananas is placed on each basket. The basket can be used at all stages of harvesting, washing, processing, storage, transportation and final disposal. The contact with the bananas, which causes an aesthetic degradation of the product, is minimized. The bunch of bananas is placed on the basket. The upper part of the stalk is nailed on the nail (1) of the hanger (2), while the lower part is placed on the embossed area of the basket's base (3). Beams are placed at the corners of the wagon's base where the rack is attached at the desired height. Six baskets are placed at the bottom of the wagon's base and six on the rack. The basket and the wagon can be assembled and disassembled by hand without any need of tools. The disassembled system occupies minimal space, making less expensive the return to the plantation.
